Opening Day is finally here! Is the MLB offseason FINALLY heating up?!?! The Mets acquired Francisco Lindor and Carlos Carrasco from the Indians for pennies on the dollar. Why? Oh, that's right, because MLB owners hate paying players and are willing to get less talent back for other teams to eat entire salaries for players. It's a joke and why we're probably headed for another strike. Also, we got to talk about the Knicks! Yes, the Knicks! Tom Thibodeau has the Knicks playing hard and even playing defense! Make sure you stay tuned all the way through for a surprise near the end of the episode!
In Episode 14, Kyle Loughran reacts to the Eagles tanking in their Week 17 game against Washington which knocked the Giants out of the playoffs on Sunday Night Football. No, this wasn't "disgraceful" or "disgusting," this was something we see every week. Teams tank. This is a known fact. We have embraced and encouraged tanking and rebuilding through the draft for bad and mediocre teams for years now, so don't turn around and try to bash the Eagles for doing the same thing. Just because this Eagles game was in primetime does not change that. If this game was at 1:00, no one would have cared, and they shouldn't care either.
In Episode 13 of Midnight Snacks, Kyle Loughran breaks down the College Football Playoff Semifinals where Ohio State trounced Clemson behind a legendary performance from QB Justin Fields. Alabama also took care of Notre Dame, but that doesn't mean the Fighting Irish are frauds. The "Big 3" of Alabama, Clemson, and Ohio State are just that damn good. Also, get ready for points next Monday night when Alabama and Ohio State meet for the National Championship in Miami.
In Episode 12 of Midnight Snacks, Kyle Loughran breaks down the College Football Playoff Semifinal matchups of Alabama-Notre Dame and Clemson-Ohio State. He also talks about why the Committee got it right with the top 4 and why that's not necessarily a good thing.
Had to tack on a bonus episode about Week 14 after the Browns and Ravens played the Game of the Year on Monday Night Football. We had 20 points in the last 2 minutes, a backdoor cover for the ages, a Scorigami, and Lamar Jackson missed most of the fourth quarter because he had to poop. Or was cramping. Either way, he returned like Willis Reed. I mean Paul Pierce?
