So, we just got back from our trip to New York. It was fun but went too fast. We saw a lot of sights and tried some new things. The two bad parts about this trip was there was no snow and all of us ended up getting ill at the end of the trip. That seems to be how it goes for us here lately. Maybe we need to go back on some trips to the woods and away from as many people. Give it a listen and hear about our New York city adventures. Hope you enjoy and have a great week.
This week we discus Noah's latest favorite game, Bonelab. This is on oculus (at least that is where he plays it) He talks about how you begin the game and explains a bit how to download mods for the game. We also talk about a few things that happened this day in history. Hope you enjoy and have a great week.
Well, this week we had a bit of an accident. We had a good ole fender bender. This is a pain since I am having to deal with insurance companies to get my car fixed it did lead Noah to want to know a few things about eh history of the car. Now since it was a VERY brief history, we ended with Noah's favorite game "Would You Rather". Well, that is it for this week, so I hope you enjoy and have a great week.
Sorry about missing last week but we took a little Christmas break. We are back now and hoping to entertain again. This episope we chose to talk about life changes. We thought this was better than resolutions because those always get broken. check back with us later in the year and see if we are keeping up with our changes. We also looked back on Christmas and talked about some historic events that happened on New Year's days in the past. Hope you enjoy and have a great week.
Merry Christmas. It is once again almost Christmas so here is our 2022 Christmas Extravaganza. This year we searched out some more traditions from other countries that might be different than what we are used to. So are very interesting. We close this year's Christmas pod with a couple of scary ghost stories. (Just all seems like versions of Krampus) I will say that the last one is kind of gruesome. Well, we hope you enjoy this one and we would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy Holidays.
So, I named this week Christmas traditions, but we do talk about more than that. We talk about some traditions we have in our household which leads me to one of my favorite things and that is Christmas lights. I love driving around looking at all the Christmas lights. So, we talk a little bit about the origins of the Christmas lights. Then what would Christmas be without a nice tree. So, we also discuss the origins of the Christmas tree. I hope you find this one enjoyable and as always have a great week.
So, this week we are sort of all over the place. We talk about the great smog of London since it happened in 1952 on the day, we are recording this. Also, the day that we are recording is December 5 which in some places it is Krampus Nacht. Now to see what that is you will have to give it a listen. Then we close out the week with a short fable that most have heard but needed to be talked about in our house these days. I hope everyone enjoys the episode and have a great week.
This week we do something a little different. Noah's Pops (my dad) turned 80 this past weekend. We decided it would be neat to look back at some of the big innovations over the last 80 years. There have been some major changes for sure. I sure hope you enjoy this week's episode and have a great week.
So, if you didn't guess by the title this week's episode is about the World cup that just kicked off recently. Give it a listen and see if you learn a new fact or two. Hope you enjoy and have a great week.
Well, it has been a while since we just checked in with Noah and talked about what he is up to these days. We were trying to make it a pod about just him, but we strayed into Veterans Day parade and somehow got on the classing and not so classic McDonald land characters. Give it a listen and catch up with Noah and learn a bit about McDonald land. Hope you enjoy and have a great week.
This week we revisit Veterans Day. We talk about how the holiday came to be and what part Birmingham, Alabama played in it. That right there should make you curious enough to give a listen. There are many more Veterans Day facts to teach a bit more about this holiday. I hope you enjoy and have a great week.
Sorry for missing a week we have been spending the week passing the flu around our household. Now we are much better, a little coughy but better. So, this week we tell some top ten Halloween things. We also toss in some crazy Halloween laws that we found. Some of them are a bit out there. I hope everyone has a fun and safe Halloween this year. Have a great week. Happy Halloween.
This week we journey to a ghost town just outside of Selma, Alabama. The name of the place is Cahawba. This is where the first capital for the state of Alabama was located. Now there is just about nothing left. This is also the place of one of the 13 Alabama Ghosts stories from Kathryn Tucker Windam. See what we have to say about this and the ghost story. We also stopped by a very neat looking cemetery in Selma, Alabama. It is the old Live Oak Cemetry, and it looks like something out of a different time with it Spanish moss and old oak trees. Give it a listen as we continue our spooky October. Have a great week.
Well, this week we wanted to do a spooky movie, but Noah really wanted to watch this Scooby Doo movie. So, this episode is a spoiler filled review of Straight Outta Nowhere: Scooby Doo Meets Courage the Cowardly Dog. Noah has to carry this one because as always, I slept through most of the movie. He does a pretty good job explaining it. So, if you are a fan of Scooby Doo or of Courage the Cowardly Dog you will want to check out this movie. Hope you enjoy and have a great week.
So, it is upon us. The Halloween season is here. It is finally October, there is a little nip in the air, and everyone is digging out the Halloween decorations. Some we might have discussed before but there are some new ones in there as well. We plan on having some good stuff for you this Halloween season, so get ready. Hope you enjoy this episode and have a great week.
So, this week starts off a bit different. I won a six pack of Mountain Dew Baja Blast Deep Dive, so we start off the podcast with us making a TikTok taste test video. Not quite sure how that comes off on the pod but it's there. We then go into a deep dive (see what I did there?) on Disney's latest live action movie Pinocchio. We do spoil most of the movie so if you don't want to be spoiled watch the movie before listening to this one. Hope you enjoy it and have a great week. Oh yeah you can follow us on TikTok under worldaccordingtonoahpod not sure how much we will put up but keep an eye out.
So, this week the family went to an Oktoberfest celebration here in town so we thought we would talk a little of the history and some fun facts. Hope you all have a great week and enjoy the episode.
This week we talk about Noah's campout. They went to Alabama gold camp. Listen in to see if we became rich. We then talk about Queen Elizabeth who recently passed away. We discuss major world events and big steps in tech that happened during her reign. We talked about some, but we barely scratched the surface. Anyway, I hope you enjoy this episode and have a great week.
So, this week with the kickoff of college football we did a new taste test challenge. We did a blind taste test of both Brach's tailgate candy corn and Tootsie Roll harvest blend. I will say your welcome because we tasted them so that you don't have too. Give it a listen and see what we think of these odd flavors. Hope you enjoy and have a great week.
So, we do something a little different this week. We have a movie review. So, this week we talk about Secret Headquarters you can stream this on Paramount+. We talk about what the rating is and why it is rated that. We tell what we thought overall. Then we go into the movie with spoilers. So, if you have not watched it yet listen up to the point we tell you to stop listening if you don't want to be spoiled. It is just something we are trying, and we might do more of these if people enjoy it. Have a great week.
So, if you are not a fan of gaming this might not be one of your favorites. Noah started another game, and he is really into it. Hear him tell you all about his new game For Honor. If you want to play it is on all the platforms, but he is currently playing on Xbox. Even if you're not into gaming you might get a kick out of his explanation of the game. Anyway, I hope you enjoy and have a great week.
So, this week we are a bit all over the place. We had some leftovers from our summer vacation pod that we forgot to talk about. Noah started school this week and went camping Then to close things out we picked up a couple of limited-edition Coke flavors to give our thoughts on. I hope that we don't bounce around too much for you. Hope you enjoy and have a great week.
If you can't tell by the title, we went on vacation this week. We spent a week in Orlando. We went to Disney and Universal and had a blast. Give it a listen and see what we thought about all the new rides that have been added since our last trip to Disney. Hope you enjoy and have a great week.

We also have an update on the games Noah is playing with his friends these days. They are a bit odd, but I guess as long as they are having fun. Give it a listen see what you think. Hope you have a great week.
So, this week we had quite the experience. I think it was more impressive to me than to Noah, but The World Games are in town. We spent all day Friday using our day passes checking out all we could. We got to witness some very interesting sports such as Korfball and Canoe polo. Give it a listen and hear about our day enjoying seeing the world come to Birmingham.
Sorry we missed last week but Noah left me to go to summer camp. This week we hear all about his summer camp adventures. From bird watching to swimming, give it a listen to hear how things went. Hope you enjoy and have a great week.
This week we went to maybe the last Magic City Con. I believe I read this was the last year. That really stinks because we have really enjoyed this con. We did have a lot of fun though. I do need to apologize I kept saying the cooking dudes in the pod but the people we saw were Thedinnerdudes (on YouTube) I am so sorry I hope people read this and check them out. They were pretty fun. Also, we spoke with Ming Chen from Comic Book Men fame. He gave us a fun interview that I stuck at the end. If nothing else listen to at least hear my wonderful splicing talents. Oh well I hope you enjoy this episode and have a great week.
This week we are a little late, but we discuss Father's Day. We talk about some fun facts from Father's Day that you might not know. We talk about how we are enjoying the latest Diablo. Noah tells us about the class he had this week about Axolotls. (It was with Outschool and he really enjoyed it.) We then talk about some very small robots and giraffe leg braces. Oh yeah and cant forget the Texas wolfman. Anyway I hope you enjoy the episode and have a great week.
This week we had a few adventures. We hung out for a while at the Birmingham Zoo. Noah had a birthday party he attended, and we watched a movie. We discuss all of that and Noah tells us about the latest in his gaming world. Then we close out with a round of would you rather. Hope you enjoy and have a great week.
So, it is official, summer break has started. Noah has big summer plans of playing his Xbox all summer. Well, we will let him do a lot of this, but you know us, we have some kind of plan up our sleeve. We talk about what we watched this weekend and some fun summer facts. Hope you enjoy this one. Have a great week.
This week we start off by talking about the campout we went on this weekend. We talk about the hike that Noah and all his friends "loved". We were proud of the kids. We did a 6-mile hike and even thought there was some complaining (not that much) everyone finished. We then talk about things that happened this week in history. We talk about everything from pirates and outlaws to the premiere of Star Wars. Hope you enjoy this one and have a great week.
So, this week we talk about how much of the lunar eclipse we did not see this time. We decided Noah could stay up to see the full lunar eclipse and wouldn't you know it, it was cloudy. Oh well maybe next time around. After some lunar eclipse chat, we talk about Noah's newest game, Sword and Sorcery. Find out a quick overview of the game and what he thinks so far. I have to ask something of everyone. If you read this even if you don't always listen this time, at least, skip to almost the end. You will be greeted by Noah's lovely voice and his version of Fly me to the Moon. It should give you a smile on your face. Thanks, and have a great week.
So, this is a special week in the Johnson household. This is the week of our young Noah's birth. So, I figured we would talk about things that happened on the week of his birth. We talk about top songs, movies that came out, video games and history facts. After that Noah talks about his current game that he is playing Sea of Thieves. He gives you a quick description of the game and what he likes about it. Hope you enjoy this week and if you do tell a friend we would love to have new listeners. Anyway, thanks for listening and have a great week.
So, this week we revisit an old pod. We do the taste test challenge. For this taste test we grabbed a bag of Brachs taco truck jellybeans and yes, it is as bad as it sounds. We also grabbed a new tasty beverage, Flaming hot Mountain Dew. Once again, I'm sure you can figure this one out. We close out with some fun would you rather. Hope you enjoy and have a great week.
This week we headed a little way down the road and attended the Huntsville comic con. Let's say we had a good time. We chatted with a few people and at least one BIG star. Played games checked out all the cool cosplay and attended a couple of panels. Have a listen and see what we thought. Hope you enjoy and have a great week.
So, this week we decided to finally do Noah's chat about axolotls. I was sure we would have enough info on these cute little creatures, so we did a few earth day facts since that happens this week. Turns out I had to many facts on axolotls, and we might have to do a second podcast later on. I have to apologize because I have the crud that Noah had last week, and my voice went out about halfway through. Noah did a great job picking up for me and gave all the good facts. Enough babbling I hope you enjoy the podcast and learn a little something. Have a great week.
Well, this week was a tough one. We didn't really have any idea of what to chat about this week, so we discussed events in history that happened this week in history. I will have to admit this one wasn't our strongest pod but maybe you might learn a little something this week. Think of it as a short history lesson for the week. I hope you can find a little bit of entertainment in this one. Have a great week.
We must apologize for missing last week. We were both a bit under the weather but this week we closed out Noah's spring break with a quick trip to Chattanooga. We visited couple of really cool places that we had never tried before. We visited Racoon Mountain caverns and Rock city. Had a good time at both. Noah also wanted to update everyone on his current VR games that he has been playing. So, give it a listen. Hope everyone enjoys and has a great week.
This week we had a milestone. Noah went on his first campout without his parents. He went on his scout trip this past weekend without his mom and dad, and I have now been told we don't have to go on anymore. I guess he liked his little taste of "freedom". So, we talk about his campout and what all they did, Noah actually tried new food items. We then pivot and talk about some crazy conspiracy theories that people believe are true. You should be able to hear the doubt in Noah's voice as he is not too sure about these. Hope you enjoy and have a great week.
This week we talk about a couple of events that happened on this day in history. We talk about our trip to the Barbers motorcycle museum. Then we talk about a serious subject and that is internet safety. This is by no means everything that you should discuss but hopefully it gives you some subjects to start off with. Hope you enjoy the episode and have a great week.
I let Noah take the reins this week and he chose to talk about Gorilla Tag. This is his latest obsession on his quest headset. If you happen to have a vr headset I can tell you it seems like a bit of a workout since he is always sweaty when he is done. Give this week a listen and hear the ins and outs of Gorilla Tag and see if this is a game for you or not. Hope you enjoy and have a great week.
This week we got a little bit serious. We had a small discussion about Russia invading Ukraine. I felt that since it is all over social media and you can't help but see things about it, we would take a moment to talk about it. We talk about what both sides have said with very broad strokes. I don't know a lot about what is going on, but I tried to help Noah get a little better understanding. Now if that is too serious for you, we close it out talking about George Washinton's hair. We couldn't be serious for the whole thing. Even though this one is a little more serious I do hope you still enjoy it. Have a great week.
We sat down this week and talk about a movie we watch over the weekend "The Sneak Over" it's a fun family film. Well Noah enjoyed it. we then discuss some weird facts about past presidents and the time Thailand tried to give Abraham Lincoln a couple of elephants. Give it a listen and if you have any other fun facts feel free to share them on out Facebook page. I hope everyone has a great week. Thanks for listening.
Well, this week didn't go as planned. I tried to talk about the super bowl, but Noah is not a big sports person, so he was not into this at all. I tried to change things up a little at the end and talk some Valentines facts. Needless to say, this is a bit of a roller coaster ride of an episode. I hope you can find a little bit of enjoyment in it anyway. Have a great week. Don't forget you can always drop us a line at worldaccordingtonoah@gmail.com or on our Facebook page. Noah always loves to hear from his "fans".
This week we talk about the wonderful time we had camping in the cold this past weekend. Then we talk about the winter Olympics. We talk about the events ranked by least dangerous to most. We then talk about some strange events from the past and present. So, this week we are coming out of another illness, but we were able to get out and enjoy the nice cold Alabama weather this weekend. Noah picked up a new skill of orienteering (not sure how much he liked that one) and we got to go out and do a little bird watching. So, we talk about all that and we also talk about a very interesting person from Japan, Kane Tanaka. Hope you enjoy this episode and have a great week.
Well, we decided since I get one year older this week, we would look back at things that happened and were popular way back in the year I was born. I'm not going to type it here cause then you would see how old I really am. Anyway, get into this time machine and look at a few things from the year this old man was born in. Hope you have a great week.
Well, this week Noah is a bit under the weather but we couldn't disappoint our fans, So Noah doesn't talk a lot in this one, but I tell him about some major things that happened this week in history. I will have to say I was WAY off on something. I hope people read this before they listen. Ford had raised their wage to 5 dollars for an 8-hour day and I said they made more than I did at my first job. Wasn't thinking about it being for a whole day. Anyway, I hope you learn a little something with this one and have a great week.
So, for our first podcast of the year, I just asked Noah a series of questions to see where he is at these days. We talk about some of his favorite things and a few things he doesn't like. Hope you enjoy the first pod of the year and thanks for listening.
This week you guessed it we talk about different New Year's Eve traditions. We can't let a holiday pass by without talking about how they celebrate it in other countries. Well for this year's Christmas Extravaganza we had a special guest. Noah's mom joins us. I dug and found some more Christmas traditions you probably have not heard of. Noah and his mom play a game to see who knows traditions better. I did find some kind of dark Christmas things that we talk about at the end of the pod. We close it out talking about some of the traditions we have and what we did growing up. I hope everyone enjoys this year's Christmas pod because we had fun making it. I hope everyone of you have a very Merry Christmas or a Happy Holidays for those of you that have other celebrations. See you next week.
So, this week we talk about classical Christmas. We talk discuss "A Christmas Carol" and "the 12 Days of Christmas". So, this week since we are in December, we start talking about different countries Christmas traditions. We talk about a few of our own and try to find some new ones to add (I don't think we found one) Have a listen to see if there is something interesting that you might want to add to your tradition list this year. Have a great week
Well, it finally happened. We recorded a full podcast complete with a table full of guests (our family) We did Brach's candy corn challenge again with updated turkey dinner. We also did a full Coke taste test. Oh well there was some interference in the whole thing so we had to scrap it. So, in this edition we talk about some of that stuff and a couple of current events. We found some pretty cool stories. We hope you enjoy the new recording. Also Have a great week.
Well can you believe that it is Thanksgiving week already? So, this week we revisit fun thanksgiving facts. I listened to last year's pod and I hope we didn't repeat too many of the facts. I know there is at least one surprise in there. (A popular Christmas song that didn't start that way) Anyway I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving and have a great week. Thanks for listening.
This week we discuss random acts of kindness. We talk about a few stories then we go to reddit and see discuss some videos and some stories from there. Hope this gives you some inspiration to do something nice for someone else. Have a great week.
For starters I apologize if we talked about Veterans Day before but I couldn't find the episode so maybe we didn't. So this week we talk about how Veterans day came about and who we are honoring. We also talk about a few movies and a play we watched this week and All Saints Day. So there is a little bit of everything in this weeks podcast. Hope you enjoy.
This week we wrap-up our spooky month of October. Noah finally reveals what his Halloween costume was (Mob boss) and we talk about going trick or treating. We also recap what we did for the month of October and talk about what was our favorite things. Then to finish up October we talked about Harry Houdini (since he died on Halloween) Noah knew the name Houdini but didn't know who he was so we did a very short discussion on his life. Hope you enjoy. Also we hope you enjoyed this spooky October if you have any suggestions for topics for next year let us know (We already have had one suggestion) Just let us know at worldaccordingtonoah@gmail.com we would love to hear from you. Have a great week.
Well for this years Halloween Extravaganza we started off with some short stories(not real ones) from Germany. A few were Grimm fairy tales so you might recognize some of them. Next we tell a very short version of The Legend of Sleepy Hollow. We talk about where the story came from and if Ichabod was a real person or not. Then we wrap up with some spooky tales from all over the US. Most of them you have probably heard but they were new to Noah. Hope you enjoy and have a HAPPY HALLOWEEN.
I hope you are not tired of the haunted episodes yet. This week we visited some of the haunted attractions near our hometown. Now we did visit these places during the day so we didn't get to see any real hauntings but we got to hear stories. We had a good time checking these places out. We ended the night at a haunted attraction close to our house called Insanitarium and Noah had a blast. Hope you enjoy this weeks haunted tales. Have a great week.
So this week we did something a little different. We noticed that a lot of the downloads for last weeks episode were from other countries. So we decided to try and tell ghost stories from those different cities. Now I do have to apologize as I'm sure my pronunciation of a lot of these names and places was butchered really bad but we tried.
