In today's discussion, we delve into the captivating topic: "Believing in the Father's Will". This is a subject that requires much attention, as misconceptions about God's willingness to help us have persisted over time.

Contrary to these misconceptions, the Bible tells us that God actively seeks opportunities to display His strength and support. Our perception of God as an unwilling helper is unfounded. We're excited to open the podcast with this important theme, which we believe sets the stage for a profound journey of understanding.

In this episode, we switch things up a bit and prioritize this topic over our initial pilot episode. Why? Because grasping the concept of God's desire for your belief is fundamental. We begin by exploring the root cause of sin, which is unbelief. Using the example of Adam and Eve's fall in the Garden of Eden, we demonstrate how doubt played a pivotal role.

The notion of God as a reluctant aid has permeated society, leading to various instances of unbelief. We'll identify modern examples and discuss their impact. But fear not, as we provide strategies to break free from doubt's grasp and empower your journey of faith.

Scripture becomes our guiding light, as we explore James 1:6-8, emphasizing the importance of a singular, resolute belief. Doubt is likened to standing on two opinions simultaneously, a stance that impedes progress. The antidote? Decide. Make a firm choice to trust God's word, casting aside the shadow of doubt.

Throughout this podcast, we anchor ourselves in the scriptures, favoring God's perspective over personal opinion. Our ultimate aim is to showcase the healing power of belief, affirming that God's word is unwavering and transformative.

Drawing from personal experiences and scriptural revelations, we emphasize that healing is not limited to recent afflictions. God's desire to heal extends to longstanding issues, just as He demonstrated by healing those blinded for decades. Our message is clear: God wants to be believed. He yearns for you to embrace His word, to say "yes" to healing and restoration.

Have you ever found yourself becoming tool-dependent? I have and it works out for a while and then it comes back to bite you in the butt! Tools are awesome when the make your life and work better but that's only when they work as advertised. If your tool breaks, what does that mean for your efficiency? Have your tools become a crutch? Once we lose sight of our place in the creative process and convert our tools into a talisman, things only go downhill from that point.

You are the secret sauce in your world. In this episode, I'd like to share my thoughts on this and help you to keep your focus on the right thing - You! You are the thing that makes the tool "sing".

We all have expectations of what technology should do for us but if you're like me, you've been disappointed when it didn't do "everything" I thought it should do. I've had times when I have put too much stock in the ability of tech to solve my problems and I forgot that my use of technology should be balanced with the use of non-tech solutions.

Technology solves problems but when it starts creating them, then you need to dial it down. Use it to enhance your skills and not as a replacement of those skills. I have a bit to say about this in this episode so have a listen.

Momentum is a word that comes up in conversation regularly when accomplishments are being discussed. Your ability to accomplish a steady drive towards regular progress in creating content or anything at all, depends on your ability to generate momentum. Many times the challenge is not that your vision isn't a good one, it's just that you're yet to find your rhythm in making progress.

I talk about my thoughts and experiences in this area and I'm sure that you can draw inspiration from this episode.

We each have the opportunity to change the world with our ideas The problem is choosing which idea we should put all our efforts to because not all ideas are equal. Our ability to extract financial value from an idea to the point that it is able to fund our other ideas is an art that World-Class entrepreneurs have perfected to a large degree. In this episode we explore how to process the decision of choosing which idea wins your focus.

Let's look at how to assess finite resources and determine which of our ideas possess the potential to generate revenue quickly and what to do to ensure that you aren't being driven by mere excitement. In the world of business, the ability of a venture to generate enough revenue to pay the bills is what determines its longevity. It takes a lot of growing up to make the right decisions in this area of picking the idea that gets the lion-share of your resources.

How many times have you planned to publish a book or start a podcast or blog and decided that your ideas didn't matter? If you're like me, you must have lost count. That little voice in your ear that tells you that your ideas aren't valid has been stopping you from putting your voice out there. It's time to muzzle that joker and kick it out of your ear. This episode helps you do this.

For years I succumbed to that way of thinking many times. I would feel like putting together some content about one thing or the other and because I knew that I could easily find these on Google, I discredited the importance of my potential content. In fact, many of the things that we teach can be Googled. However, I found out many years ago that even though people can Google these things, many people still struggle in the area of figuring out how to find the information they need. Someone needs you to make the information easy to access and digest.

Many times we go through FOMO (fear of missing out) on the latest trends or the latest topics that are being discussed. So when we see other content creators or trainers talking about one topic or another that you really aren't very skilled at communicating but is trending, we begin to feel like we have to jump on it. That's a very dangerous ground to jump on.

It'd be nice if we didn't jump in and make a fool of ourselves right? First off ask yourself if you have really mastered that topic? Have you mastered that segment of your industry? In this episode, we cover some more tips that will help you to position yourself properly by offering well researched and well thought out content to your community.

All right. So let's dive in. So, um, how do you build trust with your audience in the past? I would. Okay. Like I talk about not harvesting email addresses from arbitrary websites or vendors who sell actual email addresses of, um, millions of people that there was a time where, uh, someone sold me a database of over 300,000 email addresses.

I checked it out and I. My, my own email was in that database. And I said, well, this is legit. And, um, I was excited. I wanted to jump right out there and start using it, you know, but. I found out that that doesn't work. You don't just pick up email addresses. I started sending arbitrary email to total strangers who don't know you.

And, um, one time someone, uh, sent a reply to me to ask. Okay. So why did you get my email from? And we had the nice conversation. I think we even jumped on the call and we talked for a bit and the Fox was that, um, You know, the response that you get from email lists that you do not generate, honestly, with your own content, uh, is really very shallow.

You don't, no matter how much you, uh, use a click bits where the title for your subjects. Yeah. Um, people still look at the sender's ID and they're like, I don't know this person. I don't want to open this. And with the consciousness that we all have, um, for more, um, security in, uh, use of the internet, uh, emails right now that are being sent.

Many times the content people, um, Pursue you for is a reflection of their current needs. I like to call this the mirror. Okay. The content that you're sharing with them is a reflection of either a current circumstance or their personality or a dream or an aspiration that they want for themselves. So. Um, the first thing is that you need to, um, use your content as a mirror.

What kind of reflection do you want to push back at your clients? What kind of, um, audience. Would you like to grow? Would you want the aspirational audience that wants something more out of life? Do you want a client that wants some realism? Show me what I can see right now and how I can improve it. Um, do you want a client, you know, that, that, um, that needs to be.

Uh, and courage, if they are in a low point in their life or in their career, many times you find that people gravitate towards content. That is a reflection of their current situation. So you need to design your content to be postured. To, uh, to, uh, feed or to take care of this particular, uh, identified demographic or audience.

Now, back to the topic, how do you harness your opportunities now? In the early days when I, uh, started trying to engage on social media, one of the things that I started out doing was I would.

Um, I would locate content. Okay. That was helpful to me. And then I would share it with my community. At the time, I felt that I had to write out the content as a blog post, because that was, was mostly what I would share. I would share blog posts or I would share, uh, tweets by other, um, By other personalities.

And I would let my community have access to all of that content. But at a point I got really frustrated by doing that because I knew that, um, my audience would really like to hear from me and I was offering them content that was generated by someone else who didn't sound like me. And I felt. That I was offering them second or third hand value.

Then I began to look out for a way to give them valuable content right now. Um, initially I felt that I needed to write blog posts. And even though I'm a, a competent, um, writer, I can compose a short articles or even, uh, notes to people, but. When I think of your blog post it's like my brain just freezes. I just like, Oh God, I'm going to have to sit down and then write this bloke was, and then out here people say, Oh, it has to be 2000 words long.

And I'm like, God, for good. I am not going to sit down writing 2000 words. I wasn't very comfortable with composition in primary school. I wasn't comfortable with essay writing in secondary school, you know, but. I excelled at something. I would always have my name written down, um, on the list of noisemakers in class.

Like in my previous episode, I, I spoke about how, um, I struggled with blogging because I, you know, struggled with writing and composition in. In primary school and journaling the way I was introduced to journaling when I was much younger in the eighties was to have a diary where you, you know, journaled your, uh, your day on your experiences and so on.

And I have never seen anyone, uh, journal. Um, I never saw my father journal. My siblings. I never saw a journal. Um, I know that in movies, I mean, there were movies that I would watch on someone's diary will be found and, uh, people will read this and they'll be embarrassed. And, you know, doubt might just be a piece of drama in the movie.

I never had that in my family because no one in my family had their journal. And, uh, because that was not modeled for me. I struggled many times. To, uh, to journal. I w I would start out the year with a brand new diary and I would get pumped out, like, yes, it new diary. Generally first I'm going to start journaling.

Do you find yourself second-guessing yourself when you think about publishing informative content to your audience or community? This is a good thing because it means that you will always make sure that the content is of value to them. However, what happens with many people is that they freeze in place and never take their shot because they don't believe they are an expert. This episode's got you covered if this is your situation.

The word "expert" has been used by certain people to cordon off leadership platforms for people who have been verified by the establishment, but can anyone really regulate the uniqueness of your experiences and personal flavor in the way you deliver value? If you have repeatedly proved your methods and your demographic, would it be right to say you're not an expert simply because you don't fit a mould? Let's talk about this as it pertains to you.

If you believe that being an influencer is just for those who have millions of followers on instagram, you'll be surprised by what we discover during this episode. As an introvert, I always felt that my extroverted friends ran things. They had the spotlight and tended to also get "the girl". Me? I thought my life sucked and I carried myself that way. My extrovert friends hung around and I thought they just tolerated me. I didn't know that they needed me as a stabilizing influence in their lives. I wanted to be them, the needed to be me.

You can and do have an influence on those around you and now let's look at that and the fact that you can do the same for those far away from you.

Do what you love! Yup, we've all heard that, but that has been a historically bad idea. Ask Mozart. I'd rather say discover joy in what you currently do that pays the bills. Ok, this episode embellishes the lesson a bit, but the idea is really clear that people who passionately do what they do while paying the bills reach realms of productivity that others cannot.

Let's explore changing the world together while we discover how to do it profitably. If the creative spark was snuffed out by someone who cared about you or who didn't care about you, this episode is the beginning of your journey toward recovering it.

Every entrepreneur experiences growth cycles. At some point in the cycle when they are on the cusp of a massive growth opportunity, pain sets in. In this episode I talk about how you can start recognizing these points of transformation and how to push through the pain that strives to keep you from evolving.

Many entrepreneurs have interpreted these experiences where they encounter growth pains as a sign that they aren't cut out for the big leagues. Others see it as a sign that they shouldn't be in business. This isn't true. We are all born for significance. Notice I said "we". Add this message to your toolkit and use it when you reach that point when you are tempted to give up.

I asked myself this question when I felt stuck. There were times that all it took for me to make the transition into the next phase of my career was a new skill or a book that I needed to read and implement, but I was too lazy to do that because the upgrade would be painful.

True learning and transformation is painful. It isn't pleasant and it often requires cutting off something about yourself and leaving it behind. In this episode, I discuss by thoughts and reflections about this subject.

Is there such a thing as "overnight transformation"? If there is, why are there so many outraged patrons to events/coaching programs that promise it? I have a few words to say about that and just wanted to share them with you.
We can learn a lot about transformation when we open our eyes to observe our own experiences and nature. The trend that has built up to a community of frustrated and angry ex-transformation-seekers is the result of years of unkept promises. Let's talk about this with an open heart and get to the bottom of this issue.

I know you want to create that product that no one ever thought of or the gimmick no other business has thought of or used and you feel that learning from other businesses and applying their wisdom invalidates you.

What a load of crap! I know this because I used to tow that line. Do you know what it got me? Nothing! As a businessman, you can't escape being a salesman. We all have nasty experiences with sleazy salesmen. Being sold on something you don't need or something that doesn't work can leave a bad taste in our mouths for years.

So what do you do if you have bad experiences and you now see yourself being "that guy" that you remember from your bad run-ins with salesmen?

I share my experiences and a mental technique that I use when I find myself in that headspace where I doubt that my moral stand as a salesman. I hope it helps you like it does me.

P.S.: It rained while this episode was recorded so there's some ambient sound in the background. I hope it doesn't mess up the experience for you.

No one really likes being laughed at. It can be embarrassing when it's done by those who want you to feel less than them and this can leave a scar. Let me help you through this.

I share one of the precious moments with my family and how my kids laughed at something my wife said. It was a beautiful moment we spent even though we laughed at my wife, the safety of Family made it a memory I will carry for years to come.

Let's take a journey through how you can make this a position you take when the people who surround you look to tear you down by laughing at you. You will reach into yourself and get the strength you need to pull out the joy that's in there and turn that situation around. You are special and the world needs you. Don't you forget it.

We all feel that we don't have enough to offer. Is this really true? Our failure to reach out and help the world around us may be tied to our feeling of inadequacy or our sense that what we have won't count in the outcome of those we share it with.

Nothing could be further from the truth! You my friend are a treasure waiting to be discovered and the only way to help people find you and be blessed by knowing you is to shine. Let the light out! Let people know how you can help them. The little you think you know may be the difference between life and death for someone else.

In this episode, I share a few thoughts on how you can begin to share your light with the world and I throw in a few personal stories that I hope will encourage you.

Is the word "Coach" suddenly a swear word to you or have your friends been coming down on content being shared by life coaches and making them out to be crooks? You may not know it but you may be sabotaging yourself by letting this go unanswered.

It's been my opinion that skeptics rarely create anything but spend their time tearing down what others are building. It really isn't cool to be skeptical. Skeptics live in a dry and angry world and they don't want to be alone in it so they try to drag as many people as they can into it. Like it's been said, "Misery loves company".

I share my thoughts about the rising voice of critics who try to make coaches appear to be thieves and con artists. What you may not know is that while you consume these opinions in passing, they cripple you and keep you from reaching out and helping people with your wisdom. What you criticize will move away from you and if you spend time consuming these critical content being shared on the internet, you are making a critical voice within you louder and louder. This will push any urge to help others with your wisdom further from you and you may never create that product that will help millions.

Do you enjoy shiny things? I do! I like the way I feel when I see something done well. I want to make people feel the same way.

But what happens if I don't have the same tools that someone else used to create that effect? What if I'm limited by where I live or where I come from and since I can't change those, my outcomes may not change?

You may not be able to change certain things but you can change how you respond to these realities and how you use what you do have that no one else on the planet possesses. You can be perfect at being you and making other people who will listen to you and be affected by your message, feel the way you've felt when someone served you well with their content or service.

I explore my own journey and I hope it encourages you to explore yours.

If you're like me, I started business believing that my idea was the next hit. I was wrong! Starting a business requires a balanced optimism and my guest today gives us a reality check.
We discuss how you can get the attention of people or organizations you wish to work with and a tried and true way to insert yourself into their world and be top-of-mind.

The journey to your ideal image of yourself begins with having your feet firmly grounded in the present and being aware of your strengths. We discuss what you should be investing in and give a few pointer about how you can do that.
I hope you brought your big-boy pants because this is where we discuss the grown-up stuff.

Creators like us have an idea a minute. Have you had an idea that you saw someone else monetize a few months after you thought of it? This happens a lot if you've not noticed yet and there are ways that you can at least get the credit of having the idea first.

In this episode I talk about how I discussed the possibilities of a lockdown with my client in 2016 and he didn't take me seriously. His account of his reaction when the lockdown took place was something made me resolve to never keep my ideas to myself anymore.

I share with you how you can do the same and never again be on the losing end of history.

Hear what my 5-year old said during a family hangout that just tickled me but reminded me that I'm that way too with my dreams. If you're like me and you want your dreams to happen "tomorrow" raise your hand. I see you. I tell you the story of that conversation and my own struggles with impatience and its unintended offspring frustration. If poorly handled, it can be a bomb that blows up everything you truly care about.

The key to patience is the ability to make peace with the truth that the things that matter take time. There's no rush to the production of precious things. Diamonds sit in darkness, heat and pressure for thousands of years and their value is obvious to everyone. The things of value take time to create. Make your life a masterpiece. Build for millennia and not for the next high.

Everyone has a weakness but we don't all handle them the same way. I do a cavity search in this episode that may affect you so only the brave may approach.

Why is it that popular figures become infamous when a weakness of theirs is exposed? Why does it leave such a vile taste in people's mouths when they see a leader of industry fail? I talk about my own recent failing and make a few suggestions about how you can overcome your own.

Today, we're going to be talking about how to start selling online. However, this is another one of my Instagram life sessions, which we have decided to bring to you here on the podcast. A lot of you don't know that I'm. Active on Instagram, especially by doing live Instagram sessions and I decided that it would be great for me to bring that experience to you here, who listened to my podcast every week. So today I'm going to be replaying to you a session that I did, which where we covered how to start selling online. It was a great presentation and. I even had a participant from Hong Kong. I did not realize they were from Hong Kong until later when I went back to the recording and went into their profile and I was blown away that I actually was able to reach somebody over the way in Hong Kong. My friend, that is the power of the internet. So some of the things that we're talking about during these sessions, please take seriously. You never know who you're talking to, and, uh, it'll be great to get feedback from you, either way when you have such awesome experiences.

Consider the fact that OTP and password reset emails usually have a 90% open rate. Now compare that to the average open rates of promotional emails which is usually around 20%.

These emails do not only build your domain reputation but gives your customers a pleasant experience. When your customers are happy, business is better!

Unlock extra value from your emails by doing things differently. Triggered emails can dramatically improve your conversion rates if you have the right delivery engine and follow the best practices.

Your current email marketing practices could be in the inbox today and SPAM tomorrow. If you have been sending them and not getting marketing value for those messages you are missing out. Brands over the world are using triggered emails to cross-sell, up-sell, educate, and create a better experience for their customers.

We would be discussing how you can improve customer experience with emails by

  • Encouraging customers to use digital channels.
  • Building loyalty and encouraging repeat business.
  • Adopting new products as per CBN Directives.
  • Educating your customers about fraud and security.
  • Cross-selling and Product launches.

This show is an introduction or this episode is an introduction to a new segment of the show. In which we bring on. Special guests who instead of being interviewed, interview me. They ask questions that they would really want answers to and I do my best to answer those questions.
So if you are interested in joining us on another episode where we do this, you can visit:
www.designcourseacademy.com/podcast and follow the link on the page that tells you that you can give us feedback or you can request to be on the show. It's really important that we get this kind of feedback because lots of you have questions that you would like to ask.
And if you ask me a difficult question, I would be very honoured to be able to attempt to answer it. However, if I don't know the answer, I will tell you, I don't know the answer. I'm like that.
But the truth is that lots of questions have come and gone over the years and they circle around the same issues. So we hope to have you come on the show and interview me and ask your questions in person. So, Jeffrey, Introduce yourself to our audience.

Everyone starts small. Another thing we have in common is that we want to rise to the top of our fields. The reality is that most don't. Why? Most fail to evolve. Chubike Roy Agu shares his experience of starting at the bottom of his field and rising through the ranks by simply evolving as he went along. This interview exposes the intricacies of this art.

Someone walks up to you, and asks, "do you see Nigeria exploring the opportunities in the tech industry, seeing that technology led organizations will be the top economy drivers through 2022?" I'd be very interested to hear your thoughts; but before you share them, I'd like to get some things off my mind, and set the line clear on this topic, lest we be swayed by public opinion.

Last year, 2019, between October and December, the ICT sector contributed N25.7 trillion to Nigeria's Real GDP, which was 13.12% of the total GDP; which was higher than the 7.32% contributed by our beloved oil sector in the same space of time. So what does that tell you? There's a goldmine here, but is that all? So let me disabuse us of some notions that don't really hold water.

The nature of our leadership structure is such that the average age of Nigerian politicians and people in top leadership positions is 65 years. And even when they have replacement, they still try to control things in the background, a contract here to a personal buddy, a job allocation there to family member, a policy here and there to favor an incumbent/monopoly/MDA, whatever it takes to ensure their hands remain in the pie; anything that makes for data transparency, data decentralization, "Baba" (whosoever he is), would still have to sign the cheque. And it goes without saying, that this age bracket, especially in Nigeria, doesn't fully understand the role of information and technology in the modern economy, and should it in any way threaten their access to power, will stop at nothing to frustrate its advancement.

What Is The 4th Revolution? How Can You Prepare For It?

Quote: "The Marketplace is driven by the needs of the customer"

Automation in many ways, is an ambiguous representation of what actually happens, as when people hear automation, their mind flies to a machine doing the job of a man with no human interface. Automation doesn't live and die at the hands of robots and crane. Any automatic equipment used in manufacturing, in a processing facility or a process at all, falls right in the alley of automation. Automation in itself is not a danger to your job or mine. The "Auto" part of the word, is only a segment of the process; there's always going to be a human being at the beginning and end of the process. Somewhere in between the processes, there might be some human involvement, but inter-spread between those processes, there are operations that will happen without the involvement of a human agent. So those processes that can run without the involvement of a human agent, are the ones been automated. So, you want to stay relevant in the marketplace? Identify those parts of the process where humans will never be replaced by machines, and begin to train for the position; just like the man who trained to use a pickax in our previous example.

Is Automation really a danger to your job and mine?

Sponsor link [Our affiliate link]: Get BuzzSprout

More often than we care to admit, we hear and read think piece by tech bloggers, enthusiasts, even founders, make the cliche comment of how automation is going to replace jobs that are routinely based; at least one in every article on automation carries that phrase or something close to that. So, in this episode, we take a dig at this phrase, to know if its claims are right, or not.

Years ago, when civilization was slowly creeping in, into the tiny fabrics of humanity, roads were built with bare hands, as stones were crushed with no tools but bare hands. A worker would crush a larger piece of stone on the ground or use a more sordid piece of stone to chip away at a larger one to get the desired size. Along came Mr. Pickax. He was one of man's earliest tools of automation (though spears and flint knives are well ahead in that race), and to a very large extent, made whatever form of job it was used for, easier. So, anyone who could wield Mr. Pickax had a better edge than others who couldn't, to churn out a larger volume of "crushed" stones, more fitting in size, and above all, have a better efficient job in road construction than those still stuck with doing the job by hand. This is my best way of explaining automation.

The man who refuses to evolve in his work approach, will lose to the man who can wield a more efficient tool in that same line of work, and mind you, no tool in itself can wield itself, they're either programmed by man or controlled by man. The marketplace is evolving, and the tools we need to keep up with the expectations of the marketplace, are evolving as well. The marketplace is driven by the needs of the customer. Customers now demand speedy and timely delivery, efficient customer care, etc, and the traditional tools used in delivering these solutions can no longer stand the weight and intensity of the demands placed on it by the marketplace, hence the need to automate a lot of processes. While managing your father's store which caters to 5-10 customers at a time, it was okay to keep records in a book; now the customers have grown to 1 million customers visiting your e-commerce store at the same time, records can no longer be kept in a book; a bookkeeper will no longer do the job, no matter how good she is; hence the entrance of an automated system to the job - a database management system, a Customer Relationship Management Software (CRM), and other amazing tools available to businesses.
