how to package film project part 4: film script breakdown.In this episode I talk about script break down.A script breakdown is a preproduction step, whereby you take your script and you tag various elements to better understand the shooting requirements.You would basically go through an entire script, highlight all the props, special effects, stunts, cars, production design elements needed in each scene. And List them scene by scene. From extras, props, set dressings costume, make up, vehicles, stunts, special effects, live stock, sounds, music and special equipment.You will do this by highlighting the different elements with different coloured pens in your scripts. then you will create a script breakdown with a script breakdown template

What is a film comp, a film comp is set of slides that showcases film projects that similar to your film project. Film comps are usually three sets of slides, with three films that are similar in terms of genre and tone, theme and subject matter and also cast.
One slide has three that are similar in terms of tone.Films comps should always be relevant, they should have old films, films that were released more than 10 years ago.Films also similar to your film in terms of the execution and budget level.Films comps also help paint a clear picture to your investors in terms of what type of film you are planning to make.
