This week I talk about the easy peasy trick I used to engage my students while informally assessing them, and they had no idea and got Skittles at the end- it’s a win-win-win! From there I renew my new segment “Mrs. G. Explains the News” to share some thoughts about Stephon Clark’s tragic killing in Sacramento, and to recap my experience in our local March for Our Lives rally in which I alienated every elderly person in Santa Rosa by simply being a millennial parent. I wrap with three self-care Jenna Jams; a box, an app, and a pod! Come hang in my lounge! It’s fun and we have coffee. Lots. Of. Coffee.

This week I break down the interview Betsy Devos gave to 60 Minutes and the many, many problems it highlighted. I also tell you how I’ve been unexpectedly connecting with one of my toughest customers through comic books heroes and why I liked The Shape of Water, but maybe only because it was actually Splash. Hey y’all! I’m back from mid-winter break and my latest round of anxiety/depression with a brand new pod to breakdown all the feelings I’ve been feeling since Valentine’s Day. I also catch you up on the workshop I attended about having productive conversations about race. Two unrelated but amazing things happened at this workshop- one involving me and my superintendent sharing a moment, and one involving Lisa Vanderpump. Later we are joined by Mr. Gonzalez to throw light shade at Rae Dunn, share a celebrity sighting of Michael B. Jordan, and give a Married People Movie Review of Black Panther. It’s good to be back! Come hang with me!
