Have you ever heard someone say, “You’ve just got to pay the price”? As Believers, we can’t just sit on the couch with a bowl of lucky charms and expect to see victory. But Jesus said that we would bear fruit in Him, not by burning the midnight oil, but by being filled with all of His fullness! Fruit that remains can only come by abiding in the Vine.

Whether you or someone you know is dealing with a common cold or cancer, a disappointment or a major heartbreak, a case of anxiety or all out schizophrenia, the Doctor is in, and walk ins are welcome.
1 year anniversary podcast! Why is it that people always seem to try and put new wine into old wineskins? Why do we try to fit the new things that God wants to do into old ways of thinking, old ways of doing things? Why do we get so caught up in what I call “personal tradition”? God has new wine, new vision, but we have to throw out the old ways of thinking, the tradition, yesterday’s template. This is what Jesus did. When we look at Him, our eyes will be blessed, seeing what He is showing us, and our ears will hear what the Spirit is saying.

Prosperity is a very controversial topic in the church. People have gotten in the ditch on both ends of the road. There is always danger in extremes. In part 2 of this 2-part series, My guest and good friend, Elijah Murrel, and I want to provide some “clarity on prosperity”. This podcast is for two kinds of people: those FOR the “prosperity message” and those AGAINST it. In other words, it’s for everyone.
Deuteronomy 8:18 tells us that God gives us the POWER to get wealth. In this world, we all need money, but many Christians are simply doing whatever they can to make money rather than what God has graced and anointed them to do; What they are gifted and anointed to do to produce resources. The problem for many of us is understanding the NEED for money, but not the PURPOSE for it. The purpose of having financial ability is not so we can blow our nose with $100 bills, but rather to accomplish the work of God. My friend Matthew Fay and I talk about finding your grace (not simply what the world tells you to do to make money), and the purpose for financial increase.
Yes, we need a part 2 on this topic. Whatever we honor God with He commands His blessing upon. The world talks about “performance”, but God talks about Blessing. His Blessing makes every part of our life rich, and He adds no sorrow with it.
And here...we...go. Let’s talk about...you know, the thing. Listen, we know that God created sex. He has the original blueprint. We should not be so ashamed of the topic that we are afraid to talk about it. On the other hand, knowing that God designed it is not enough. We must also follow His design for it, and learn to see it the way He sees it. The world dishonors sex, but God wants us to value and honor the marriage bed, whether we are single or married.
“How far is too far?” Have you ever heard, or asked, this question in a romantic relationship? We are a three part being: Spirit, soul, and body. If we want our lives to align with Gods design, this is the order we must follow in every area of life, including romantic relationships. Today I want to talk about healthy relationships, and how to lay a right foundation that will last longer than one or two Valentine’s Days.
Are they “the one?” What a controversial question. Is there any such things as the “One”? A soulmate? Does God pick out our spouses or does he leave that decision up to us? What about divorce and remarriage, unfaithfulness, losing a spouse? Does the Bible even talk about “the one”? Click play and let’s talk about it. Actually I’ll be doing most of the talking, but you can either verbalize your assent or disagreement in the privacy of your home or car.
What happened to romance? When did it get intertwined with cheap candy and even cheaper forms of lust? Real romance is about sacrifice, about commitment, about loyalty, and forgiveness. Real romance is the God-kind.
Politics. Some think that they have no place in Christianity. Others think that politics ARE Christianity. Neither are true. God is not silent on any issue. The truth is, politics are not separate from spiritual reality. Satan has used political platforms many times through out history to push his agendas. But what role does the Body of Christ play in the midst of political upheaval? What did Jesus have to say about politics?
First ever live sermon podcast! This is a message I was given the opportunity to preach at my local church a few weeks ago. Micah 6:8 tells us specifically what it is that God requires of man, or you could say, what He wants from us. The more filled we are with the knowledge of His will for our life, the less time we will waste with things that are nothing but a distraction. God’s commandments are not burdensome, and He is not unreasonable. His yoke is easy, and His burden is light.
Oh boy. Abortion. What a topic. I’ve been sitting on this one for a while. For some people this is a back burner issue politically. For others, it takes moral precedence over almost all others. Others still fight for and celebrate the progress made in providing this opportunity to women. Fair warning, this is probably the most sobering and serious podcast I’ve ever done. It is also intense and age appropriate. Let’s get into what the heart of God is on this issue, what the Bible says, and what the answer is to some tough questions.

A prayer we should all pray. We all have human weaknesses to deal with every day, and Satan is our adversary, attempting to use those weaknesses against us like gravity. But if we will live in the protection of God’s Word, He is well able to keep us from falling.

I would be lying if I said Colbie Caillat didn’t have just a little bit of influence on the title of this podcast, but this is a good one! Many people get too entangled in their comfort zones, and are not willing to break free from attachments that hinder them from reaching their potential in God. Happiness has less to do with what other people do or don’t do for us, and much more to do with what WE do and don’t do. There is nothing as satisfying as doing the will of God.

Wisdom is a popular word in the Scriptures. We are told to use wisdom, to heed wisdom, to be filled with wisdom, and even to passionately seek it out. However, we must determine which wisdom we are following: The wisdom of God or the wisdom of Man. There is a spiritual, godly wisdom, and there is an earthly, sensual wisdom. We must distinguish between the two. One will keep us on Gods path, the other will lead us away from it.
In part 2 of GPS, I’m talking about what it means to follow “the impulses of the Holy Spirit”. God has a path for our lives, and it is a good one. But in order to stay on the path, we must resist impulses that take us off of it, and obey the gentle leadings of God on the inside.

Do you know your enemy? There is a Blessing that comes on us as the Body of Christ when we are in unity with eachother. But so often, we fight eachother instead of fighting the real enemy. We war against flesh and blood even though Ephesians tells us that our warfare is spiritual, not earthly. Division hinders the flow of Gods power, but unity opens wide the heavenly gates for the King and His glory to come in and Bless His people.
Many people are content to simply avoid the things that they are afraid of, being free from the symptoms of it, rather then to face the thing that causes their heart to beat faster, and their palms to sweat. But God is not content with His children living with unchecked and unchallenged fear. He wants to empower us to face down what has so long kept us bound with intimidation. If you will face what you fear, it will lose its power and disappear.
God loves you. In fact, God loves you as much as if you were His only child. My good friend, Ashley Emerick joins me today to talk about His incredible testimony and how Gods love rescued him from a life of addiction and darkness. Sometimes it’s easier to stuff the old food into the back drawer of the refrigerator and forget about it. But sooner or later, the old must be cleaned out to make room for the new. So it is with the human soul.

This last installment of “Pride” is talking about submission, and when it is right, and not right, to obey other people. Pride is something that every body deals with in every walk of life. Some people are confused about what it is, and whether it is good or bad. I am diving into some hot water, and dealing with what Pride is and how it affects each and every one of us.
Proverbs 28:1 says that the righteous are as bold as a lion. Boldness is not arrogance, but rather, humble confidence in God that drives out fear and embraces truth without timidity. In this episode, I want to identify what boldness is, and isn’t, and how we can live without metaphorical tape over our mouths when the world so desperately needs the words of life that God has given us to speak.

The Pride of life hinders us from stepping into what we are passionate about and even called to do. Don’t let the fear of man limit you and keep you from taking the first step. Don’t despise humble beginnings. Pride intimidates, but love inspires.
A quick, 20 minute summary of my journey from drug addiction into freedom. When you have been in the mud, you have compassion on those who are still dirty. No one is too far gone for Jesus. Even if you feel like you missed your boat, God Always has a life raft to take its place. It’s never too late.
