Dr. Silberman will discuss his tour of duty in 1969 – 1970 in Vietnam, during which he observed blast injuries of the brain first hand and the earliest cases of post-traumatic stress disorder and how this informs his view on the emotional recovery for injured athletes.
Last week’s interview with Dr. Kevin Crutchfield will be re-aired. Dr. Kevin Crutchfield is the team neurologist for the Baltimore Ravens and Orioles. They discuss Dr. Crutchfield’s unique approach to establishing a rapport with NFL Players, his 20-point neurological examination and his rationale for returning players safely to the gridiron.

They discuss Dr. Crutchfield’s unique approach to establishing a rapport with NFL Players, his 20-point neurological examination and his rationale for returning players safely to the gridiron.
