DJ/Producer, David Ake, better known as” Dalouda” began his adventure into the world of electronic music at the age of 16 when he purchased his first set of belt drive turntables, a mixer, and Korg Electribe SX & MX for production. After learning the art of beat matching, he mastered his mixing technique quickly and found himself most intrigued and inspired as a musician by House, Techno, and Deep House music. Slowly, a style of production started to reveal itself as uniquely David, but being heavily influenced by artists like Fatboy Slim, Groove Armada, Daft Punk, Armand Van Helden, Timo Maas, Deep Dish, and many more. He started out playing house parties, bars, and just about anything else he could get his hands on during college; and before he knew it, through the support of his fans and friends, he was booking gigs in and all around Detroit cooking you up a thick serving of deep, hot, stick to your rib tech-house tracks as well as a bit of hip hop, trance, electro house, and acid jazz. Whether he’s producing original tracks or remixing, which he is most known for, Dalouda delivers a heart pounding yet smooth and groovy beat loaded with bottom end basses and multi-layered percussion elements that keep the crowd going all night long. Having held prominent residencies all over the Motor City, Dalouda has been a staple in the Detroit house music scene for almost two decades. His choice of tracks is what has done Dalouda so well and allowed him to play all over. His consistent style of production and mixing allow him to stand out as unique amongst the herd.
