Feeling the love? Not yet? Not at all? Sometimes Christmas can feel the most lonely place.  So often the adverts we see at Christmas show happy families, friends partying together, loved ones loved up … but often life doesn’t present that. Families are broken, people are heartbroken and often friends are not always easy to find.

Tune into this weeks podcast to hear Bridget and Ashleigh unpack the message of love found in the story of Christmas. In this picture we find God coming to love those who didn't feel loved and which is seen in the faces and lives of the  homeless, the broken, the people who don’t have hope...maybe even us?

This weeks episode invites us to come and visit the baby who was found in a manger with the most unlikely parents and guests and who invites us also to meet him all over again right where we are!

Sounds a little too good to be true ... but as Bridget and Ashleigh discover, hope found in a relationship with God is different than me hoping for a great present under a tree. Unshakable hope is found not in getting the list of things we ‘hope for’ this Christmas but in a little baby born into a family who had nothing...find out more by tuning in today!

Bridget and Ashleigh take a honest look at her life and ask questions around how we, like Mary can find faith that lasts and endures even when things seem dark and difficult.

Well here it is ... that fun episode you all have been waiting for ... perhaps not but also why not?

Diamonds Girlcast is all about having honest conversations and so here we are wanting to have a honest conversation about grief and loss. It is sadly again one of the challenges of life that we all will face at some point.

Bridget and Ashleigh lead by example, not pretending that life is always sweet but being honest about life when it is not. They share some thought on how we might start to process and make space for grief in our lives without it overwhelming us and through this process find a path and way ahead with the help of seeking God and all he is for us in the middle of our mess.

Tune into our new podcast series here at the Diamonds Girlcast all about love!

Kicking off the series this week is Bridget, Director of Diamonds Scotland and Ashleigh who is part of the core team.

We live in a world that tells us our value is in how loved we are, wanted, admired and desired by others - especially when it comes to relationships. We are popular if we have a boyfriend or girlfriend, we are good enough, popular enough if we know that others find us attractive and want to be like us but sadly this can mean that we chase after relationships - not because they are good or with the right people but because we are trying to fill a void in our lives that tells us once we have a relationship, a partner we will be happy...

This weeks episode is all about finding love... how do we find good love?

Is your greatest fear being alone? If so, you are not on your own! This week Bridget and Ashleigh unpack the reasons we rush into relationships, why we find ourselves in relationships what cause us disappointment, hurt or don't fill our need to feel happy and wanted and dispel some of the myths around finding love in our lives.  As ever expect open and honest conversations that will encourage, inspire and challenge you as you navigate love in your life.

How's your mind?

Have you ever asked that question? This week Bridget and Karen, from the Diamonds Core team are thinking about how are minds impact how we view ourselves from how we think, to what we say, how we act and even how we think, speak and act towards others. All of this influences how we view ourselves and therefore is a huge part of our image. We often believe that who we are is what we do... and to a certain extent that is true ... but there is a deeper layer that influences how we act and that is what we are thinking about this week. It's about how we think... so how is you're thinking?

Our minds are a really important part of us but often we can feel like we struggle with how we think either about ourselves or the world around us. Perhaps like us, you have had your own mental health challenges and often it's hard to know how to start to tackle this... but this is why this podcast is here. To talk about the tough stuff, hopefully shed some light on the things that need it and to find some hope for the places in our lives that are difficult

This is week Karen shares some great tips on how to help us focus our minds on what is important, how to respond to the challenges and find ways to move forward in the direction you want to go! Listen now.

Join us this week for a very important conversation about race on the Diamonds Girlcast.

Our news feeds over the last year have shone a spotlight on the injustices of racism across our world that are still prevalent today. But what is our response here at Diamonds? What is your response?

Bridget and Bea from We Are Tearfund unpack a conversation around the importance of us all standing for anti-racism in our communities. They discuss what that actually means and that we all have a role to play when it comes to standing for racial equality.

Beginning  with the bible this episode starts the  conversation on race and considers how together we can seek a world free from the inequalities of racism and where all humans are seen as equals no matter what the color of their skin is. Be part of this conversation – you are very much welcome.

If you would like to know more about how you can make a difference to climate change we would recommend you check out We Are Tearfund  https://wearetearfund.org for great ways to get more involved in making a difference to this issue.

Commitment ... does that make you feel secure or the opposite?

This is the last episode in our podcast series on prayer and mental health. We have loved sharing this content with you.

In this weeks episode we take time to think about all we have covered so far over the last six weeks and conclude our conversations around how we can connect to God as the source of all we need, remembering who he is for us in the movements of challenge. We have shared on what it looks like to focus on God's goodness even in the face of grief and pain as we wait for his perfect timing for all he has called us to as we seek him with our lives. This is our commitment - that we would pursue Jesus more and more, day by day and in so doing bring peace and love to those around us as we follow Jesus together.

Crystal and Bridget take time this week to unpack how in our commitment to step up and follow God we cannot do this on our own. This episode asks important questions like what it means to commit with others in the community of the church?  What can get in the way and how we can plant ourselves well so we can be sure to continue on in the commitment of faith.

How we treat others defines our influence and leadership. This week on the Diamonds Girlcast Bridget and Chloe are thinking more about what it means to lead and influence like Jesus. Jesus famously came not to be served but to serve others. This challenges our view of influence and leadership which so often focuses on ourselves and not the needs of others.

So how do we lead and influence where we put the needs others before our own without compromising ourselves? How do we love well? Serve well and still be true to who God has called us to be? Leadership and service often don't go hand in hand but if we want to lead like Jesus then we need to see how he acted towards others. This weeks conversations include talking about; pride, insecurity, boundaries and  how we create and develop a servant heart in all we do. Tune in now.

Tempted to be someone your not? Often we can feel like who we  are isn't what is expected or wanted by others and can leave us feeling like we need to change who we are. Or perhaps we feel the need to compromise to fit in and be liked, or we feel the need to earn the respect of others by acting a certain way or that we have to prove ourselves to earn our place. All of these pressures mount up and where does it leave us?

This week on the Diamonds Girlcast Bridget and Chloe unpack some of these leadership challenges and think about the importance of building our character on who God says we are and not on others expectations, opinions or views. As ever you can expect lots of honest conversations and some fun stories to help think about how we can grow our character in a way that means we lead more like Jesus.
