Kenneth S. Stern is the director of the Bard Center for the Study of Hate and an attorney and award-winning author. For twenty-five years, he was the American Jewish Committee's expert on antisemitism, and he was also the lead drafter of the “Working Definition of Antisemitism." He has argued before the Supreme Court of the United States and testified before Congress. His work has appeared in The New York Times, The Washington Post, USA Today, and The Forward. He has been a visiting assistant professor of Jewish Studies and a visiting assistant professor of Human Rights at Bard College. As a trial attorney before his AJC tenure, Stern was involved in several high-visibility cases, among them his defense of American Indian Movement co-founder Dennis Banks in one of the last post-Wounded Knee cases (his book about this case, Loud Hawk: The United States vs. The American Indian Movement won the prestigious Gustavus Myers Award). His book about the Oklahoma City bombing -- A Force Upon The Plane: The American Militia Movement and the Politics of Hate -- was nominated for the National Book Award.). He also has written books on antisemitism and on Holocaust denial. His most recent book is The Conflict Over the Conflict: The Israel/Palestine Campus Debate (New Jewish Press, 2020).

Derek Penslar is the William Lee Frost Professor of Jewish History at Harvard University. He taught previously at the University of Toronto and the University of Oxford, where he was the inaugural holder of the Stanley Lewis Chair in Israel Studies. Penslar takes a comparative and transnational approach to Jewish history, which he studies within the contexts of modern capitalism, nationalism, and colonialism. Penslar’s books include Shylock’s Children: Economics and Modern Identity in Modern Europe (2001), Israel in History: The Jewish State in Comparative Perspective (2006), Jews and the Military: A History (2013), and Theodor Herzl: The Charismatic Leader (2020). He is currently writing a book titled Zionism: An Emotional State and is beginning work on a global history of the 1948 Palestine War. He is President of the American Academy for Jewish Research and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada.

Rafi Gassel is a Jewish Israeli who lives in Jerusalem with his wife and three children. He works in Biotechnology dealing with DNA Sequencing and Diagnostics. He is also a peace activist who promotes a rational approach to dealing with the conflict incorporating novel approaches such as mutual recognition of indigenous rights and a federal state in Israel and Palestine.

Malkon Marizian is an Armenian Palestinian living in Jerusalem. He has a BA in psychology and an MA in Human Rights. He volunteers for Musalaha, a non-profit organization that works towards reconciliation between Israelis and Palestinians based on the Biblical principles of peace, justice, and love. He has also given a Discovery Talk for Birthright Armenia, comparing and contrasting the historic experience of the people that form his identity.

Rafi Gassel is a Jewish Israeli who lives in Jerusalem with his wife and three children. He works in Biotechnology dealing with DNA Sequencing and Diagnostics. He is also a peace activist who promotes a rational approach to dealing with the conflict incorporating novel approaches such as mutual recognition of indigenous rights and a federal state in Israel and Palestine.

Malkon Marizian is an Armenian Palestinian living in Jerusalem. He has a BA in psychology and an MA in Human Rights. He volunteers for Musalaha, a non-profit organization that works towards reconciliation between Israelis and Palestinians based on the Biblical principles of peace, justice, and love. He has also given a Discovery Talk for Birthright Armenia, comparing and contrasting the historic experience of the people that form his identity.

Over the last 20 years, many scientific publications have come out showing a significant level of common ancestry between Jewish and Palestinian people. In this episode we will discuss what narratives we communicate to explain what this means, and look for a common narrative that fits the data.

Tsvi Jekhorin Misinai (Hebrew: צבי מסיני, born April 15, 1946 in Jerusalem), is an Israeli researcher, author, historian, computer scientist and entrepreneur. A graduate in physics from the Haifa Technion. The pioneer of the Israeli software industry. Won in 1992 the Rothschild Award for Industrial Development, the first one in the field of software. The founder and first president of Sapiens International corporation (NASDAQ SPNSF), whose technology development started under his leadership in 1972 in the Weizmann Institute of Science in 1972. Since 2000 spends most of his time researching and documenting the common Hebrew roots shared by world Jewry and the Palestinians. Designed a just win-win peace solution based on his findings. Wrote several books on the subject and several short documentaries and interviews with him were prepared and aired on Israeli TV. Also wrote about the base problems of the Arab world as well as on bridging science and religion.

Karl Skorecki was born and raised in Toronto Canada and received his MD degree from the University of Toronto. He pursued postgraduate clinical and research training in Internal Medicine, Nephrology, and Molecular Biology at the Brigham and Women’s and Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard. In January 1991, Skorecki and his family moved to Israel, subsequently joining Rambam Medical Center and the Technion’s Faculty of Medicine in Haifa. Between the years 1995-2005, he served as Director of the Nephrology Department at Rambam, and until recently as Director of Medical and Research Development. He also served as Director of the Rappaport Research Institute between 2000-2015, launching major novel research programs in Stem Cell and Human Genetics Research, establishing the Institute’s technology transfer company, and overseeing the Institute’s budget. Prof. Skorecki is currently Dean of the Bar-Ilan University Azrieli Faculty of Medicine in Safed.

Yoram’s poetry weaves his Jewish identity into issues of politics, spirituality, and evolutionary transformation.

Gershon Baskin is an Israeli author and peace activist. He has authored/co-authored 15 books on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and has been active in promoting peace since the 70s. Gershon is one of the only Israelis alive who has contact with Hamas and played an integral role in the release of Gilad Shalit. Gershon is the epitome of what it means to stand up for what you believe in.

Sherry Sufi is a West Australian writer, activist and columnist.
He is well-known in the Jewish community for his ability to bust myths and misconceptions about Zionism and the State of Israel and has spoken at various Synagogues and at pro-Israel peace rallies in the past.
His articles have been published in The Australian, The West Australian, The Sydney Morning Herald, Spectator Australia and the Australian Jewish Quarterly.
Sherry has been a guest speaker at the Australian Jewish Studies Conference he has made appearances on Sky News Australia as a commentator on cultural and international affairs.
His award-winning PhD thesis was on language and nationalism, a substantial part of which examined lexicographer Eliezer Ben-Yehuda's revival of the Hebrew language which forms the basis for the modern Israeli national identity.
He won an award for outstanding research and a publishing deal. A concise edition of his thesis is now available as a book titled 'From Cavemen to Countrymen: The Linguistic Roots of Nationalism' which can be purchased off his website www.sherrysufi.com
He runs a series of webinars on topical issues via Facebook Livestream and has recently interviewed world-renowned academics such as Steven Pinker, Noam Chomsky and Benny Morris.

Kamal Nawash is a Palestinian born American lawyer from Ain Karem-Jerusalem. He works for the Nawash Law Office in Washington, D.C.
In recent years, Kamal Nawash shocked many by organizing a conference at the Ariel University Center of Samaria titled "Best Plans for a Peaceful Israel/Palestine". Nawash argued that due to the historical claims both Palestinians and Israelis have for the same territory the only possible solution is for them is to become equal citizens in a united country.
Nawash has been a regular guest on CNN, Fox, BBC, NBC, ABC, CBS, Al Jazeera, Al Arabiya, Voice of America, and many U.S. radio stations.
