As we kick off the year, Vic looks at what God said about Caleb in Numbers 14:24. He had a different spirit than the negative, pessimistic people around him. Was it just positivity, and pure optimism, or what there more going on?
In week two of our Advent series, Vic talks about the importance of pondering on the meaning and significance of the incarnation (God taking on flesh). He then highlights just a few real-life implications of that event if properly understood.

Vic interviews Mike & Esolé Duff from Cornerstone Church, Newcastle (UK) about God's provision for them regarding a venue!
This week Vic takes on all of chapter 2. Although we cover a lot of verses, Peter really only focuses on 2 main aspects: false teaching (there won't be a judgement day) and false teachers (who are licentious and greedy as a result).
As we conclude chapter one of 2 Peter, Vic looks at Peter's urgency to remind his readers of the truth of the gospel because he himself was an eyewitness and because they have the scriptures and prophecies as confirmation.
This week Ryan Legg takes us a little further into chapter 1 of Peter's second letter. Don't forget to have your bibles, notebooks and pens ready!
What if you were given wings? You'd fly, of course! Christ followers are given another nature, a divine nature. What do we do with that now? Peter the Apostle instructs us.

Cory Adrian shares from 1 Peter chapter 4 on having the mindset of Christ and his disciples in order to put behind us old ways of thinking and living.
This week Vic looks at a section that contains a little bit of obscure content. What should we do with verses like that? Don't focus on the obscure at the expense of the clear. And there is a lot that is clear in this passage: Substitutionary atonement and the significance of baptism.
This week Tanya Stander speaks about meekness in light of Jesus being our shepherd and overseer, as well as inner beauty. Vic shares a quick encouragement for husbands as well in terms of leadership in their homes.
This week Ryan Legg looks at 1 Pet 2:22-25, helping us learn from Jesus when we find ourselves reviled as a result of following Him.
What can we possibly learn from Peter's address to first-century slaves? How can we trust the Bible since it doesn't seem to abolish it at all? We look at slavery, subjection and suffering.
This week we have a special guest: Alan Frow, from Southlands Church in Orange County, California.
Peter touches on the issue of civil obedience. How are we as Christians to submit to both earthly institutions as well as to God's rule in our lives? Especially if they are in conflict with each other? And how are we to endure suffering as a result of our faith in the society we live in?
We are no longer "of this world" now that we've been transferred into God's kingdom. But we are certainly still "in the world" as exiles and sojourners. Why? In order to proclaim Gods' excellencies! That means we are to be both visible and vocal about our faith in Jesus.
This week's sermon is definitely another "come to Jesus" one (as most of them are). But Jesus and the gospel can either be stumbled over or stood upon. Which one will you be?
Happy Mother's Day to our citygater moms, and their mommy friends! Thank you for joining us if that is you :) This week, Toby tackles chapter 2 of Peter's first letter, looking at verses 1-10: Filled Up & Built Up.

Not much seems to have changed by the end of Haggai chapter 2. Crops are not producing as expected & life seems just as frustrating as months ago. Yet now, on this day, as they gather to complete the laying of the temple foundation, God promises to turn the curse into a blessing and lay even a grander future for their governor Zerubbabel.
