Legendary League of Ireland kitman Michael 'Locker' Davis is very sick in hospital at the moment. He's been around football since the 1970s, most recently with Cabinteely. Cabo, along with Bray Wanderers and some of his other former clubs are coming together this Sunday for a testimonial to support Locker and his family. Dan Carr left Shamrock Rovers to sign for Apollon Limassol in Cyprus this week. After leaving, his former Head Coach Stephen Bradley made some comments that Carr felt he had to defend on Twitter. Bradley said "This club is a special club and it’s bigger than any one individual and unfortunately, that individual just felt he was a little bit bigger than us." Carr joined Jamie from Cyprus to defend himself after Tweeting that what Bradley said was "A load of bollocks!"

He also played for a number of other English club and Drogheda and St Pat's in the League of Ireland. Three years ago, aged 27, he quit football to continue he battle with alcoholism. Niall Morahan has signed a new contract with Sligo Rovers as he becomes the first recipient of the new IT Sligo Scholarship programme with the club. The Republic of Ireland Under-19 international has penned a deal until the end of 2021 season and will begin his IT Sligo course in September. Niall will be undertaking a business degree. They won two of their three group games against Maltese side Birkirkara (7-2) and Gintra the hosts from Lithuania (2-1) Only the top team from the group qualified so their opening day defeat to Albanian side Vllaznia who topped the table meant their Euroean dream ended at the qualifying phase.
