Meet my Guest I Live With My Husband And Four Children On A Sheep And Cattle Property. My Style varies from contemporary Landscape to abstract expressionism. Each multilayered piece tells a story of a place I have lived in or have visited and loved.
My inspiration comes from my upbringing in outback Queensland. I draw on colour palettes that come directly from what I see outside, from travels and memories of my childhood. I am always affected by the changing colours of the seasons, our vibrant sunsets or the feeling of a place. Meet my Guest I’m a child of South Australia’s big-sky country, moulded by adventures around the globe. I’ve wandered far and came home to roost in my own little piece of this wide, wide world.
For me, art is instinctive. It runs through my veins, into my very being. I live for the colours, textures, movement I see around me – fleeting moments captured forever by paint, brush and canvas.
You might find me in my sunny little studio in Jamestown, in SA’s mid-north. Painting, creating, experimenting, failing, starting again, putting my soul on the canvas with every brushstroke, every frustration, every moment of joy.
You might find me outside, sitting in the sunshine with a cup of tea, pottering in the garden. Chasing after my two busy, beautiful, boisterous boys, laying with them on the lawn and counting stars. Whispering to them that they can do whatever they dream of. Cherishing this life which lets me do what I love and spend more time with them while they are little.
You might find me on the road, armed with my camera – heading to my family’s farm to capture life on the land as I know it, as I live it. Telling other stories of this wide, brown land with photos; always seeking, always finding inspiration.

Meet my guest Well my name is Steph and I have been creating since I was about 5 years old. Inspired by my beautiful mother who used to line our small hallway with brown paper so we could “draw on the walls!” (I am 1 of 10 children, so heaps of fun!!) This paper was changed weekly and encouraged, so for me, art making was always around and very much encouraged. I am a mother to 4 beautiful healthy children. We live on a sheep and wool property near Jugiong NSW. I struggled at school in the “traditional academics”, so my art was my voice and I feel so blessed to have this gift and ‘life tool’ to share with others. My Artworks evoke an emotion in the viewer, it ‘cracks’ a smile or creates a memory. I love colour and am inspired by my surroundings. When I walk into my studio and create, it makes my heart sing. I love to share my joy of creating with others. I went on to study Art Education at COFA, UNSW for 4 years and loved every moment of it. I majored in Etching and Painting. I have been practicing as a professional artist for the last 23 years and have had many solo and group exhibitions throughout NSW, ACT and one in QLD! Each year I donate several works to charities as I feel it is important to give back. I currently sell my mixed media pieces through the Longtrack Pantry in Jugiong. I love this episode with Madi! There is nothing better than chatting with a like minded person and I got totally swept up in this chat. It was great to hear her story and how she created the amazing space that is The Corner Store Gallery. The Corner Store Gallery was established in 2014 and has been providing artists and designers from all over Australia with a beautiful space to showcase their work and ideas for over 5 years. It is a small, independently run space located in the thriving regional community of Orange in NSW. They exhibit a diverse range of emerging and well-established artists specialising in a great variety of mediums. As well as this the gallery also holds workshops exploring a wide range of mediums and materials on a regular basis. Kyah Wilson is an incredible artist based in Dubbo, NSW, who captivates many through her paintings. Kyah Wilson Art is an amalgamation of original and mixed media pieces. Country allure is one of Australia’s, leading lifestyle brands and Ange has Cemented this status though only opening in 2017. We chat about her choice to also open Country Allure HQ, a bricks and mortar store in Blackwater, her very busy schedule and she also explains to us how her brand ambassadors work, plus so much more about Country Allure itself.
