I’m very happy to bring back a guest that I ALWAYS have great conversation with. Welcome back to the podcast Shimmy! For those who don’t know Shimmy, he makes phenomenal content revolving around training and nutrition for hypertrophy. Seriously, this is someone you need to be following. He has so many practical pieces of advice in his content and I’ve learned a lot from him, and you will too!
One thing I really respect about Shim is he is truly about the process, he has been refining his approach to fitness for well over a decade and achieved a very impressive physique; interestingly, Shimmy has never expressed direct interest in competing, which in a way makes me respect him even more. He is just about that life.

Boy oh boy have I been sitting on this episode for a while! I’m very glad to be dropping episode 70 with none other than Bryce Calvin of Progressive Performance (P2). You might have seen some of my work with Bryce and his coaching company over the past year, as I was a part of the P2 Internship/Mentorship in the summer/fall of 2022, where I learned so much about how to be a better coach. If you’ve been following for years, I originally had Bryce on the podcast back in August of 2020, and it’s been crazy to see how far he’s come since then.
Bryce is someone that I really do look up to, the development he’s made personally and professionally since I’ve met him is just downright impressive, and he’s someone that I’m very happy to have in my corner. You should be following Bryce if you aren’t already, for so many different reasons!

Thanks for checking out Episode 68 of The Trainer’s Scoop with Trevor Fulbright!
It’s been about 11 months since I last had Trevor on the podcast, and since then he’s had some really cool things go down. Trevor is now officially working with Renaissance Periodization, has seen huge growth within his own coaching business, and is still crushing it in the gym as always. It’s great to see all of the hard work that he was putting in over the past months and years paying off.
In our discussion Trevor and I got into how to create sustainable growth in training and building a coaching business, discussed longevity in social media & marketing for creating fitness/coaching related content, and got into a question/answer regarding training and nutrition. There’s a ton of good stuff in this one, so I would really appreciate it if you all shared this around and commented below! Oh boy folks, do I have a treat for you today. I’m joined by the one and only Reddit Famous Coach Ty, who is one of my (if not THE) favorite people that I met from my time interning with Progressive Performance.
Ty is an accomplished coach and bodybuilder, music lover, and dog mom. I really respect her approach to coaching, and her accolades in the bikini division are very impressive as well. Ty has accomplished much more than just standing on a stage while looking jacked, though. She is truly an expert when it comes to bodybuilding which is evident through her competitive career and the FAME that she built through her involvement in the Reddit bodybuilding forums, and that knowledge and expertise has translated very well into getting results for her clients with competitive and lifestyle improvement goals.
I hope you enjoy the discussion, here are the time stamps!

The Podcast Returns after a bit of a hiatus, and I couldn’t think of a better way to bring The Trainer’s Scoop than our first in-person interview for the first time since 2020!
