Exercise One
One of the most effective spiritual disciplines is “practicing gratitude”. Over time it tilts your soul, mind, and body toward a state of Joy.
How you practice gratitude is:
Answering these two questions. The first one is directed to the Lord Dear Lord I am grateful for ___________________
Then stop and best guess what the Lord would say back to in response to your specific thank you.
Example:
Lord I am so grateful that you helped my daughter with her English with the tutor. My daughter was hitting a wall when it came to reading that was causing a challenge with her confidence. Her response was to look for excuses to check out from English. The tutor was helpful to put the wheels back on the train.
Son I love Lily more than you do. I have a wonderful hope and future for her life. I see her anxious heart when it comes to confidence and I was the one who brought Moriah and Gena into your life. They are sent by Me because they are especially trained to love and help Lily in my name.
Exercise Two
Share some practical ways that you experience Sabbath Rest? These are events, exercises, etc. that leave you (soul, mind, body) more refreshed. Or leave you with a sense of Joy and Peace.
