Today is Air Jordan XXX3 reveal day, but we'll talk about that some other day (don't get your hopes up if you're thinking this will be beloved like the old days). Instead, we're talking about the potential for Disney to expand the Marvel Cinematic Universe by giving characters like Loki and Scarlet Witch their own limited series (1:40), what the hope is for the recently launched Nintendo Switch Online Service (6:45), Jimmy Butler asking to be traded from the Minnesota Timberbulls (not a typo) (11:26), and Space Jam 2 finally becoming official starring LeBron James with Ryan Coogler producing (17:03).

Marvel drops the first trailer for the long-awaited (and long overdue) trailer for Captain Marvel (0:08), Josh Gordon is headed to the Patriots but really I just want to talk about Randy Moss (6:47), Kylie Jenner was in my presence to endorse the adidas Falcon reimagined as a dad shoe (11:34), and Sony brings back the PS1 in mini form (14:58).

I take a break from being annoyed my stupid backyard wall isn't done yet to talk about the lackluster Hell In A Call PPV (0:08), Dwyane Wade's announcing this upcoming NBA season will be his last (8:51), a brief respite from NFL malaise thanks to fun stuff like FitzMagic (17:12), the amazing Spider-Man game for the Playstation 4 (27:41), Joaquin Phoenix as the Joker because that's a thing (33:51), and the Nike Kobe 4 coming back in Protro form (38:25).

What? I got into the writing mood, hah...
I talked about the Strike Force on a previous episode of the minute, so here's an expanded, more thought out version of that after realizing I had hit the 30-day mark for this game...
It's all about Colin Kaepernick's return (ok, he never actually left) to Nike and his role in the company's 30th anniversary celebration of the "Just Do it" slogan. I had to write about it and the reaction to it like I was still working at a sneaker blog read by millions. But since we're out in that business anymore, here's what I wrote in podcast form (apologies for the lack of a copy editor, that really should be a stretch goal). No wall talk today, yay! Instead, we're saying thanks to Manu Ginobili and his amazing run as he announced his retirement yesterday. We're also being cautiously optimistic about the upcoming Streets of Rage 4, wondering about the math behind the new Xbox All Access plan for gamers without an Xbox One yet, and pondering what life would be like with photorealistic Pokemon as the 2019 Detective Pikachu movie aims for that art style.

So the past week has just been my brothers and I trying to build this stupid wall in my backyard (which you can find occasional updates on my Instagram) so I haven't had time to look at fun things on the internet or play video games or do anything remotely interesting that would be worthy of talking about on a podcast, which leaves us with stuff like reacting to Tiger Woods giving the most boilerplate answer when asked about his relationship to the person who currently holds the position of President of the United States and some early reactions to playing Marvel Strike Force in between breaks. That was a long sentence, sorry...

Much like Summerslam itself, we've got a pretty decent length pod talking about much of what happened last night at Barclays sandwiched by two squash (meaning: short and sweet) segments about the "joys" of ownership and buying a new pair of Kobes.

We say good riddance to Alex Jones on (almost) all of his major platforms as tech companies grow a spine, North Carolina football players got suspended for selling their PE Jordans, Disney might be playing a small pittance of $100 million for a Star Wars live-action series that will be exclusive to their streaming service, and I got the bright idea to star Metroidvania games at almost the same time in Dead Cells and Hollow Knight.
