In this episode I talk about the importance of happiness and what make you happy. In today’s society too many people are living a life they ‘think’ they should live, rather than living a life they ‘want’ to live.
Throughout this podcast I talk about the importance of establishing habits, good habits and setting a foundation for your future. I also discuss the importance of creating a ‘personal’ formula that suits you. One that is aligned to your goal/s, or to what you would like to achieve in your life and / or what you would like to be remembered for. I also talk about the importance of establishing meaningful relationships on a personal level and touch on the synergy between good health and happiness.
I also discuss the four (4) main happy chemicals in our body, serotonin, dopamine, oxytocin and endorphins and way’s we can improve these ‘happy’ chemicals by implementing simply lifestyle habits and talking action.
Happiness and creating and or improving personal happiness is about being brave, being honest with yourself first and foremost, but it is also important to understand we are humans. We all have ‘shit days’, we all suffer from stress, we all have lapses in our lifestyle habits / health, this is normal. As humans we continually change yet the difference between those that believe and achieve and those that don’t are the strategies they implement to make sure they are consistent with their habits more often than not.
During this podcast I also touch on Maslow’s hierarchy of needs or the key ingredients to happiness which is also a good opportunity for my audience to see what they rate as the key ingredients to happiness, because at the end of the day the #1 ingredient is life’s purpose. What is yours….?

Today’s podcast is all about YOU. As you know I am passionate about helping people achieve success through health and this podcast is about taking ownership, being selfish and implementing plans to help you live a happier and healthier life. However, it is important that you as the individual takes ownership of the life you want to live. The reality is know one else can think for you, know one else can do it for you, just you! So grab a pen, a notepad and start planning your life.
Throughout this podcast I challenge you to think of three main points;
During this podcast I ask you to take control and encourage you to live more. Less proving more living. It's not the hours you work, your job title, your bank balance, the suburb you live in, the car you drive. Implement "reverse role modelling" into your schedule. I encourage you to establish courageous trust. Only you know the life you want to live, don't let others dictate it for you. Say have the ability to say "NO". If it doesn't "add value", if it's not a priority, if it doesn't need to be done straight away, don’t do it.
I also challenged you to spend 20-minutes per day on yourself for yourself. Not on social media, FB, instagram, watching TV. On yourself, reading, writing, listening to music, playing music, having FUN, reverse role modelling - unstructured play!
Embrace being SELFISH. If you are happy first & foremost you are going to be a better brother, sister, spouse, partner, father, mother, friend, employee, employer.
We all deserve honesty and integrity, so does your body, both physically and mentally. Remember, life is easy...we just make it complicated. Start living in the present, not the past, not the future, the present.

Consistency of doing ‘something’ is good for the inner-being, Tristan Miller.
This is a fascinating podcast with Tristan Miller who was suppressing his emotions with his alcohol consumption after going through a divorce and losing his job. What started out as a casual run on a Saturday morning lead to fun runs, fun runs lead to ½ marathons, ½ marathons lead to marathons and the rest is history. The more he ran, the greater the positive transformation became as he saw himself going from a weekend drunk to a weekend warrior. It was during this personal development journey that Tristan decided to embarked on running around the world completing 52 marathons in 52 weeks, in 42 countries.
Throughout this podcast Tristan talks about the positive influence running has had, not only on his mindset, his values and his goals, but also the impact it has had on others. Inspiring people to just get out there and have a go and accept that failure is just an experience we learn from.

Episode 11: RESETTING YOUR BENCHMARKS
What started out as his regular Saturday morning training ride, end up quite differently. Actually it ended up in tragedy…from a professional athlete 2 hours earlier to being ricocheted into a parked 4WD at 40km/hr, Michael Forbes broke his neck and ended up on a ventilator and getting fed through a nasal gastric tube. After six days they started reducing his drugs and he became conscious but he had no idea of what had happened. With a tracheostomy inserted he tried to ask the nurse, ‘what happened’…she said “You were a victim of a traffic accident the doctors will be in tomorrow to tell you the worst, don’t believe them, believe in miracles”. From that day onwards his life as he knew it had changed forever, but his never give up attitude is an inspiration for all of us.
Since the accident there have been a roller coaster of emotions, both positive and negative including plenty of dark days. Yet, since the accident he has never looked back and there are many fantastic take home points throughout the podcast about the art of setting gaols, over coming challenges, making sure you celebrate your achievements and be prepared to be patience and persistent.
