SGO On the Go is the Society of Gynecologic Oncology's best education for the busy clinician. Join us for discussions regarding clinical practice, advances in research, and other compelling topics relevant to gynecologic oncology.
ADC use is expanding, and APPs play a central role in counseling patients and in identifying and managing toxicities. This episode explores the evolving role of antibody-drug conjugates in gynecologic cancer treatment and highlights current evidence, clinical application and future directions for improving patient outcomes. It provides expert insights into how these target therapies are shaping the landscape of ovarian, endometrial and cervical cancer care. This episode will give APPs plain language they can use with patients, a framework for predicting and managing side effects, and insights on how dose reduction can preserve quality of life while maintaining response.

- The Chick Mission idea "hatched" when Amanda's fertility preservation coverage was denied by her insurance company. Staring down a long road of chemo, radiation and long-term drug therapy, Amanda understood the high likelihood of infertility after her treatment and decided to move forward covering the costs on her own. The idea of other patients choosing not to pursue preservation simply because of the cost barrier did not sit well - socioeconomic standing should not dictate whether anyone has an opportunity to have biological children after they battle and beat cancer.

Over the past two decades, and especially after the publication of the GOG LAP2 trial, minimally invasive surgery has been widely adopted in gynecologic oncology, as it is associated with lower rates of complications, and improved postoperative recovery and return to normal activity.

This podcast focuses on the surgical site infection reduction bundle as part of the ERAS guidelines that was first published in 2016 and updated in 2019, and the 2020 vulvar and vaginal surgeries ERAS guidelines.
Before we dive into the SSI reduction bundle, we want to highlight the importance of patient education and participation in any ERAS protocol. The goal of this podcast is to continue our series on key concepts of enhanced recovery after surgery (ERAS®). In September 2022, we discussed why we do it, and in February 2023, we talked about how we do it. This podcast will complete our trilogy and discuss implementation, or looking at how well we do it.

The goal of this podcast is to follow-up Key Concepts of enhanced recovery after surgery (ERAS), and This podcast is divided into sections referring to pre-operative, intraoperative, and postoperative considerations. Sexual problems and dysfunctions are commonly encountered by gynecologic oncologists, dealing both with cancer patients and patients with complex benign conditions. We are offering a two-part series, brought to you by gynecologist Mary Jane Minkin, who discusses these issues. In the first talk, Dr. Minkin talks about the diagnosis of sexual problems routinely encountered by gynecologic oncologists, and in the second talk she discusses therapies for these sexual problems, and advice on referral for patients who need further interventions.
Dr. Minkin is the Co-Director of the Sexuality, Intimacy and Menopause Clinic for Cancer Survivors at the Smilow Cancer Center, Yale-New Haven Hospital, and Clinical Professor in the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Sciences at Yale Medical School.
