From early 1919 till just before his death in 1937 J.K Popham wrote letters each month in The Friendly Companion magazine, a widely appreciated monthly for young people.
Mr Popham was a minister of The Gospel pastoring the church at Galeed Chapel Brighton in England for 55 years. He was both a gifted writer and theologian. This podcast takes extracts of his letters and presents them in a new and exciting format.
"The writing of the letters was a serious business preceded by prayer, under a sense of the importance of providing suitable reading for the young. They are now followed by prayer that a divine blessing may rest on them". J.K Popham.
Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
