The brokenness of our world impacts the most vulnerable in our societies first, and especially children. Growing up in a world of broken families, broken identities, broken relationships, broken dreams and broken aspirations, their future is at stake. In what way can the church be good news for them? This seminar looks at how those who work with children on a daily basis - teachers, mums and dads, family workers, children's ministry leaders - bring light into their broken worlds to make their future brighter.

The broken world we are engaging with needs us to be of robust character. We need to focus on being the right kind of people, rather than planning the right kind of strategies. So what kind of people do we need to be?

The ripples caused by rejecting a relationship with God are felt most keenly in the relational realm. The misunderstandings and fall-outs between parents, children, friends, siblings, colleagues, team-mages, pastors etc is excruciatingly painful, confusing and damaging to the soul. What a privilege to be called as ministers of reconciliation! Blessed are the peacemakers, said Jesus - they will be called sons of God.

The time has arrived for the church to become more prophetic in order to bring much needed healing to a broken world. What do we mean by 'prophetic'? A church that picks up what is on the heart of God and communicates this with boldness, courage and faith; a church that is compassionate because it prophetically understands the problems of our world; a church that longs to see the kingdom of God come on earth as it is in Heaven.

We live in serious times and this broken world needs people who are dreamers of a better tomorrow. This seminar looks at turning a dream into reality and taking a realistic approach to our dreams.

Discipleship in the New Testament always included taking on the lifestyle of the person who was leading you. In the 21st century church we have tended to avoid doing this. We talk about the teachings of Jesus, study them, meditate on them and teach them to each other, but we rarely actively put them into practice. However, there are groups of men, women and children all over the world who are going back to biblical roots and choosing to life differently. Paul Maconochie talks about what a life of imitating Jesus can look like and tells stories of communities which have embraced this radical walk.

Our Western culture has gone through seismic changes over the past few decades. Beliefs, attitudes and morality have all shifted beyond recognition, even since our grandparents' generation. The church has haemorrhaged people and become marginalised from mainstream society in many ways.

The New Testament has a huge amount to say about the way we think and how that shapes us. Darkened minds which once saw the gospel as utter nonsense now see it as the wisdom of God. How is the gospel good news for broken thinking, and what does it mean to be transformed by the renewal of our minds? How does this help us in understanding and reaching a broken world, and building a church which is of one mind? In these seminars, Dan will explore the Bible's perspective on the world's way of thinking and on how the very way we know and think is radically redefined around the gospel.

The gospel is not just for new Christians. It's vital we don't just leave gospel proclamation to the few who preach and teach in church. How can we be more confident in proclaiming the gospel and knowing it will work? When we look at the life of Christ and the apostles, we see that when the gospel of Christ is prioritised, kingdom signs and wonders follow. Clyde considers the essential elements of the gospel and why we must proclaim it, and attempts to answer whether social action constitutes gospel proclamation.

Home for Good's vision is a home for every child who needs one. There's a crisis in the UK: 4000 children are waiting to be adopted and over 9000 foster placements are urgently needed. This seminar isn't just for foster carers, adoptive parents and people thinking about fostering or adoption. It is for church leaders, small group leaders, youth workers and Sunday School teachers who want to make sure their church is a welcoming place for looked-after children and their families.

Over the past few decades there has been an incredible shift in the way that we share the gospel. In the past, evangelism was the work of the evangelist, or happened as a result of revival campaigns or events, or by handing out tracts on the streets. This was very successful in the past, but preaching the gospel in this way in today's society may not be as effective. An increasingly effective and popular way of sharing the gospel today is presence evangelism. Simply put, this can be explained as being a place where Jesus inhabits. Danny will reflect on questions such as: What is presence evangelism? and How can I be a place where Jesus inhabits? He'll consider how being in the presence of God releases his power on earth.
