[Accordance 12.3: Resource] Ever try to imagine what biblical times were like? Where Jesus walked around Galilee? Or how Paul traveled during his missionary journeys? Accordance is pleased to introduce its newest visual resource, Picture the New Testament. The initial release covers the four Gospels, Acts, and 1-2 Peter. When it is complete, it will span the entire New Testament and include more than a thousand images. [Accordance 12.3: Basic] Text Browser is is a powerful new feature in Accordance 12.3. the Text Browser searches and displays multiple resources like a Research tab, but it also has all the most important features of a Text tab: Instant Details, cross-highlighting, and an interlinear view. It even will compare texts in multiple languages simultaneously! The Tab displays every Text in a horizontal rows, all of which can be copied & pasted or printed as a group. Fortunately, Accordance offers a wide variety of resources dedicated to this subject—and an array of techniques to access them quickly and easily. [Accordance 12.2.8: Advanced] Editors use a variety of brackets in Bibles and Texts to indicate material that is missing, reconstructed, or whose authenticity is in doubt. This podcast surveys the different uses of brackets in Accordance's most commonly-used texts—and how to adjust for them in searches and statistical analyses.
[Accordance 12.2.9: Study] Morphologically Coded Highlights and Greek Diagrams can both help identify the underlying structure of the Greek text. In this podcast Dr. J uses both to exegete the purpose clause of Col 1:9-12. What did Paul mean when he asked the Colossian Christians to "walk worthy" of their faith?
[Accordance 12.2.8: Resources] The MT-LXX database displays every word of the Hebrew Masoretic text in parallel with its Greek LXX equivalent. Accordance offers two versions of this resource: the interlinear and the parallel. This podcast distinguishes between them and shows how to use both.
[Android 1.1.8: Basic] Accordance Mobile is now available for Android. We are very pleased to announce we now support the Android platform (5.0 and later), as well as MacOS, Windows, and iOS platforms. The app is free, as are its bundled Bibles and Bible study tools. In this episode Dr. J explains how to install, register, and use Accordance on an Android device. [Accordance 12: Basic] Accordance 12.2.7 and later allows users to import their BibleWorks notes folder into a new Accordance User Notes file. Join Dr. J as he provides a quick overview of User Notes in Accordance and then explains how to use the new import feature. This podcast also describes the current import limitations—and suggests a strategy for managing old and new notes.
[Accordance 12: Basic] Live Click uses a simple click to search for verse references in all texts and words in all texts, lexicons, and Bible dictionaries. We added the feature in Accordance 12.2.7 at the request of former BibleWorks users, who missed a similar function in their old software. Now, with the release of Accordance 12.2.8, Live Click offers more features and even quicker searches.
[Accordance 12: Basic] Bible Software users have a long history of switching to Accordance. They have given us multiple reasons for it over the years: they've switched to a platform their old software doesn't support, they want more resources, or additional software features, or better customer support, or a smartphone app that doesn't require internet access to work. [Accordance 12.2.4: Bible Study] Join Dr. J in this study of the Ethiopian's conversion (Acts 8:26-40). [Accordance 12: Study] What does the word "day" mean in Genesis 1:5? This podcast is a study of the question, one of the critical issues for interpreting the Creation account in Genesis 1. This technique, called "multiple instances," can be surprisingly useful. [Accordance 11: Advanced] The Merge command is the most complex of Accordance's linking commands, which use the search results of one pane to search in another pane. It was created specifically to search for equivalent Greek and Hebrew words in the MT and LXX Parallel, but it can also be used to search reference tools—and even perform grammatical searches in commentaries!
[Accordance 11: Study] Rom. 8:28-30 is interpreted very differently by Wesleyans and Calvinists, a disagreement that often obscures the the point of the passage. In it Paul argues that God has destined his people for "glorification," an often misunderstood goal reached by an even less understood process.

Not all Bible studies begin with a passage. Some start with a simple question, "What does the Bible say about ______?" Investigations of this kind are called "topical studies" and may well be the most popular kind of Bible study. Topical sermons are certainly a favorite among preachers. In this podcast Dr. J shows us how to study a topic using Accordance—and how to transform that study into three simple kinds of topical sermons.
[Accordance 11: Study] What is the Greatest Commandment? All three Synoptic Gospels include the story of Jesus' answer to the Pharisees' question—but they have significant differences.
