Ambitious Girls, Inc. was born in January 2009 from Akissi's "BE Smart! BE Safe! BE Responsible!" platform and teen conference, addressing the importance of education and preventing juvenile delinquency, teen domestic violence, and pregnancy. As the organization grew, so did its impact, giving rise to the Girls G.R.O.W program, focusing on mentoring, service, leadership, and scholarships.
As an International Speaker, Akissi is passionate about helping people GROW. She has shared her insights at various conferences and events globally, including the International Business Retreat in South Africa and Paris-France, the National Association for Blacks in Criminal Justice in Phoenix, Arizona, and Tampa, Florida, and The African Women’s Health Project International “Youth Walk for Africa Press Conference.”
