Or maybe your stumbling block is that you’re a woman and you’re not sure how that jives with serving in a leadership role in the church. While sin is serious, God is gracious. Our story is the story of a God who pursues in order to heal, forgive, convict and challenge us on the journey.
Last week we talked about the weight of sin. It’s serious, it’s damaging, and it wreaks havoc and brokenness all throughout our world. And, because sin is so serious, it can be easy to think that a pure and holy God wouldn’t want to be anywhere near it, but Scripture paints a different story. Yes, God is holy but nothing – not even our sin – will stop Him from pursuing us. Dive in with the crew to the stories of the woman at the well (Brenna’s favorite!), Hagar, and Hosea and get a glimpse of the our good, loving God who never stops chasing after us.
