After an incredible season filled with conversations from around the globe (mostly from America), we wrap up Season 8 with a festive Christmas special featuring someone very close to my heart—my Japanese teacher and dear friend, okamoto masako. 🎄✨
Hailing from the bustling city of Osaka, Masako is one of the kindest and most charismatic people I know. She’s outgoing, endlessly curious, an amazing dancer, and always up for exchanging cultural gems. 🏴☠️ 🎙️ Season 8 Recovery File – Houston, We Had a Problem... But I Found the Tape!
Ahoy, my darlings... we’ve recovered buried treasure. 🏴☠️✨
Once adrift in the chaotic sea of missing files, this episode — lovingly known as “Bingo’s Lost Tape” — has finally washed ashore.
This is not just a podcast. It’s a resurrection. A digital ghost story. A reminder that even when the universe tries to eat your files... pirates always find a way.
I had the absolute joy of recording this with Bingo — a brilliant comedic actor, improviser, and live podcaster. We bonded over our mutual obsessions with podcasting, graphic design, and the eternal tug-of-war between “Obsessions vs. Passions.”
🎥 Sadly, the video? Gone. 🎧 The audio? Vanished... until now.
💌 Thanks to some pirate magic (and Bingo uploading the file himself), this conversation has floated back into my inbox — raw, imperfect, hilarious, and absolutely #dkLa! Família.
🎧 Tune in for:
✨ Conversations we almost lost forever
🔥 A masterclass in turning chaos into comedy
🗺️ A little proof that nothing really disappears... not in pirate radio🤩
🏴☠️ A tribute to the mess, the magic, and the memories we make along the way
This isn’t the cleanest episode. It’s not the sharpest audio. But honey — it’s real. And it belongs right here, in our imperfect, glorious pirate archive.
And yes... if the winds are right and Bingo rejoins us in the future, we’ll re-record this ride, shinier and louder. Until then... enjoy this slice of history.
🪦💿 “Nothing stays lost forever... not when pirates are involved.”
