In The Know is a podcast programme operated by the H. Lavity Stoutt Community College through its faculty, staff and students. The platform aims to keep the public informed of matters related to the institution, as well as to broadcast educational programming and conversations; and help provide a training avenue for prospective professional broadcasters.
The Marine Professional Training programme that was launched at the H. Lavity Stoutt Community College (HLSCC) in August 2019, has become affiliated with the American Boat and Yacht Council (ABYC) and is now seen as a one-of-a-kind programme in the entire Caribbean region. In this episode, Marine Programme Manager, Captain Matthew Holt and Programme Administrator, Claudia Reshetiloff provides some insight into the programme, its impact on the College and the community and what's been happening with the 2nd cohort of participants.

It is an extraordinary and unprecedented time around the world as we all grapple with the uncertainty of the current novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. The H. Lavity Stoutt Community College's first priority has been—and will continue to be—keeping its students, faculty, staff and wider community safe and healthy, all the while ensuring that students receive a full education in the process. As such, the college extended its Spring Break and shifted its students to online learning.
