Genesis 22: 1-14. Forgiveness is not free. When any wrong or infraction is committed against someone, the forgiveness of that wrong always comes at a cost. Justin submits to us that we are in debt to God and that the cost for God is immense in order for Him to forgive us of our sins. But, as we see in the story of Abraham and Isaac, God always provides a way to pay the cost. It cost God the death of His only Son, Jesus. Let us praise God who paid the debt we couldn't pay by offering up his most precious possession for us.

1 Corinthians 9: 19 - 27. Paul talks about the Gospel being a race many times throughout the New Testament. Jake challenges us by asking: If someone were to look at your calendar or your bank account, what race would they say you are running? Without discipline, we will not win the race, but discipline is hard. We will fail and struggle, but the good news is that Jesus ran the race on our behalf. At the end of Jesus' race, he received a crown of thorns so that at the end of our race we will receive a golden crown in Heaven if we choose to follow Him. Therefore, let us hand over our burden of running our race to God and ask Him to help us run it.

Ephesians 5:14-16. In this unusual season, how can we step off the treadmill of routine and live into our God-given purpose? Daniel explains the meaning of the Greek word time, "kyros," used in this passage. It means not linear time, but rather the opportune moment in any given situation. From this, Daniel challenges us to view our circumstances in a new way in order to make the most of them even if we are spending most of our time at home. Controlling how we respond to our unique circumstances will help us cure our apathy and get more out of our time.

Rufus reminds us that when we are fearful and discouraged, God is there with us even if we don't feel his presence. When the Enemy aims to discourage us in trials, we need encouragement from God and from others. Therefore, Rufus challenges us with the question: When was the last time you encouraged someone?

Mark 3:16. John 20:21-29. John recalls the story of Thomas: his calling and his experience of Jesus. John parallels this with our calling and experience of Jesus. John challenges us with the questions: Do we have doubts about God's promises? How are we supporting God's work through the church that you're a part of? Let us experience more deeply the wounds of Jesus as Thomas did so He may change us to make a greater difference in the world.

Matthew 4:19. Nick encourages us to be seeking out those who don't know Christ around us. Pray that God will open doors for us to witness during these times of separation and social distancing. Psalm 62:8. Jeremiah 29:11. It is easy to trust in God when things are going well, but what about when things go bad? Page reminds us to trust in the Lord always. If we are afraid, or worried, unsettled, insecure, or rushing to figure everything out, we need to relieve ourselves of the control and let God be in control. We are in capable hands. His plans for us are not to harm us, but to give us a hope and a future.

1 Peter 4:12-13, 2 Corinthians 4:17. Trials should not surprise us, but that does not mean they are easy. We will take steps by faith into circumstances that are difficult and uncomfortable, but that doesn't mean we should take the step. Steve encourages those of us who are in trials to have faith in God who will always be by our side. Steve asks us: what are the baby steps we can take in our faith to increase God's involvement in our lives and our trust in Him?

John 13:30-35. During his last dinner, Jesus gives the disciples a new commandment: To love one another so that others may know that they are disciples of Him. As Christians, what are we known by? Mike challenges us with the incongruence between Jesus' commandment and the reputation of Christians. Though we are commanded to be known by our love, we fall short. Jesus goes on to define this love: as He has loved us. How well are we loving the people around us? As Mike asks us, do your brothers and sisters in Christ, especially those who we don't naturally gravitate towards, know the love of Christ from you?

1 Peter 3:15. Let us always have a reason for the hope we have in Christ. In response to this, Mary Ann asks the question: What has the Gospel done for us? And what can it do for others? She lays out for us the enduring legacy of the Gospel in its many dimensions. The Gospel can penetrate to the deepest parts of our soul and transform them through the power of repentance. It has the power to save us from any sin and make us new. May we receive this power into our lives and let the Holy Spirit transform us.

Matthew 15:18. Numbers 14:27. Complaining is as common in the Church as it is outside the Church. Complaining all too normal, but it has severe consequences. A complaining attitude can hurt ourselves and results in a lifetime in the wilderness like the Israelites. Everyone has adversity in life, so how do we deal with our circumstances without complaining? Darren challenges us to replace complaining with thankfulness. He asks himself and us: Am I a thankful person? Do I notice the blessings in my life? Am I choosing thankfulness over complaining?

John 5:36-47. When the Pharisees are missing the point of scripture, Jesus reminds them where eternal life really is: in Him alone. Yohannes challenges us by asking us the questions: Where are we putting our hope that's causing us to miss a full life in Christ? Are we finding glory in God or in man? And, finally, are we seeking the approval of man over the approval of God?

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18. Why is prayer sometimes our last resort? James reminds us that prayer is a central part of our Christian DNA. We often go as long as we can living our lives on our own strength before choosing to pray. Jesus was our role model in prayer as he prayed often and even to the point of sweating blood. May we go to God unceasingly in prayer so that it may become our lifestyle.

Rick reveals from scripture how we can do this and, in turn, be complete in God: by being obedient to Him and loving one another. Our faith is like a truck that pulls the camper trailer of our works. Our works cannot save us, only our faith can, but works are a result of faith. Therefore, let our faith pull us towards completeness in God as we obey Him, love each other, and do the great works which He has created us to do.

Since God is always with us, let us ask Him to renew our minds so that we may change our actions. Jerry challenges us to start and end our day with God in solitude in order to recalibrate.

John 18:33-38, Revelation 1:5-7, 11:15. What is the Kingdom of God and how do we be a part of it? Brad explains that the Kingdom of God is anywhere He rules as king. Until Jesus returns, and until the physical matches the spiritual, God's territory is in the minds and hearts of people. In order for us to join in God's victory over that territory, Brad gives us three methods: Have a list of non-believers in which you pray for and spend time with, be intentional, and available for your family, specifically in spiritual matters, and lastly, pray for divine appoints by the Holy Spirit in order to share the Good News of Jesus' as conquering king with people you meet along the way.

Jeremiah 29:4-11, Proverb 20:4. Who have we become during quarantine? Are we producing fruit from the world or fruit from the Spirit? Jake reminds us that God's plan cannot be disrupted by the pandemic, so let's be seeking after Him especially when it is so easy to be swept away by worldly distractions. Let us aggressively take hold of the kingdom knowing we have so much grace to make mistakes. Jake challenges us to commit ourselves to a few, good things with faith and persistence so that we may see growth in ourselves and in others in the future.

Philippians 4:11-13. After the study of the new testament, Rufus is encouraged by the character and contentment of Paul the Apostle. How was Paul able to be satisfied with Christ when he was left for dead, shipwrecked, and imprisoned? Rufus shows us that Paul learned, not by accumulating knowledge but through the practice and experiences of his life. Therefore, let us intentionally learn from our own difficulties by trusting and experiencing God in order to know Him better.

2 Samuel 6:6-7, 1 Kings 17:6-8. God asks us to trust in Him even when the outlook is bleak. Sometimes God will appear like an unkind friend, but he is not. Not even the smallest detail of life happens unless God is behind it. We cannot think of anything he has not already foreseen, so why do we still worry? Are we holding on too tightly to what he should let God control? Steve challenges us with the question: what gets in the way of us fully trusting God?

1 Thessalonians 3:1-8. What do we do when our world falls apart? How do we respond to trials? Nick reminds us of the difficult and dangerous reality of the trials that we are destined to face, but we do have hope. God has ordained our trials. They help us grow and God will make them fruitful. Even when it is hard, let us be students of our Rabbi rather than victims of our trials so that we may not fall away from following Jesus.

Ephesians 2:1-3. As we arrive in busier workdays, Ray reminds us to keep the Godly rhythms we've started during quarantine. Through these rhythms, we have access to the peace of God through Christ - a peace powerful enough to bring all people groups into unity. Therefore, let us pursue this peace and unity because Christ has taken down all barriers between us and Him.

Matthew 11:2-19. When life is not as we expect, we can rely on the promises God makes about us. Just as John the Baptist is affirmed of his purpose and character by Jesus, we too can go to God's word to be assured by our identity in Jesus. When life doesn't make sense, Jon reminds us that is not Jesus who is the problem, but our own expectations of how we thought Jesus would deliver. Jesus encourages us to not fall away from Him but to stick to our individual styles and to boldly go.

Philippians 2:1-12. Dakota describes the life of a leader like on a swing - some days we are up and think highly of ourselves, and some days we are down and think less of ourselves. Dakota's definition of humility finds new ground: thinking of ourselves less. We mimic Christ, who became a man to serve us even to the point of death when we also take lowly positions. Let us be humble by loving those who are not easy to love and committing to love them for a long time. Let us stay humble because Jesus is a good leader and because we will one day be exalted with Him.

Philemon 1. Reading the book of Philemon, Yohannes demonstrates the authority and transformative power that Christ brings in relationships. Paul's plea on behalf of Onesimus in the letter of Philemon is a witness to the barrier-shattering love of Jesus. In Christ, we are all one. There are no distinctions - not in wealth, race, or status. Let us see others as who they truly are: brothers and sisters in Christ and image-bearers of God.

1 John, John 12:6-12, Mark 6:38-44. Otto reminds us of our great purpose and fulfillment of joy in Christ. Just as the 5,000 were miraculously fed and ate until they were satisfied, we too can be satisfied by the fullness of Christ. We are given a purpose to share this fulfillment with others. Therefore, let us find fellowship with God daily so we may be filled and ready to share our satisfaction.

Psalm 46:10. Ephesians 2:8. In our world and in ourselves, there is a constant sense of anxiousness to succeed and a pressure to get work done. However, in Christ, we are loved not based on what we do, but because He is love. 2 Corinthians 3:16-18. Matthew 9:16-17. Cory explains the effect of one degree compounded over time. One degree of slippage every day can immensely change our trajectory, but when we turn to the Lord daily, we move one degree towards who we are meant to be. In order to keep our positive one degree changes, Cory asks us to consider three things: What are your daily choices? (Are you moving one degree closer or further from God?) What are the new habits we want to keep? What are the old habits we want to let die?

John 21:1-12. Luke 5:1-9. No matter what we are "fishing" for, no matter what we are searching for, being with Jesus is more important. He is better than any "catch." Let us follow Peter's lead when he leaves a miraculous catch of fish, twice, in order to be with Jesus. Bradley reminds us that Jesus already has what we are searching for, just as Jesus has fish prepared for Peter and the disciples when they come to shore to eat breakfast with Him.

Galatians 6:9. When we grow weary of doing good, let's keep our eyes focused on the future because God will make our hard work worth it. Hebrews 12:25-29. Haggai 2:6-9. Matthew 27:50-54. When we are shaken, God has a plan. In times like these, when we are trying to rebuild what was shaken - perhaps our businesses or our families - God is with us. When we feel hopeless to return our lives to a state before the pandemic, we know that God builds things that are unshakable in the midst of loss. Only in the goodness of our God do we have hope that when things are shaken, unshakable things remain. We can this have hope because when Christ seemed defeated on the Cross to those who witnessed it, He was earning the greatest victory ever known.

Matthew 13:31-32. From the parable of the mustard seed and from its own design, we know God can grow and transform even the most humble beginnings. Our talents are like mustard seeds too. God uses them, even in small ways, to produce abundant fruit. James leaves us with three questions: What seeds are we planting? Are we faithful to water the seeds that are already growing? And are we looking for ripe fruit that is ready for harvest?

1 Corinthians 8:1-3. 1 Corinthians 13:4-7. Don confesses his new insights on the racial injustices in our country based on these passages. Even though we may be tired, let us "preach" the Gospel, in action and words, in a way that is as attractive as the Gospel itself.

1 Peter 3, Philippians 2:13. Jeff reminds us that it is only through the Holy Spirit that we can become the people who God has called us to be. We cannot produce the character of Jesus or uphold the standards to which Peter calls us to without the work of the Holy Spirit within us. In our own strength, we will fail, but in Christ's strength, we will have the power to deny ourselves and follow Him.

Ephesians 2:1-10, 1 Corinthians 15. Darren reminds us of the powerful basics of the Gospel: that our condition of sin is terminal, but God has given us salvation through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ who sits at the right hand of the Father waiting for us to reign in Heaven with Him. We have not earned our salvation, but it has been given to us freely. Let us keep our eyes on Him who alone has saved us so that we may remember that our labor is not in vain.

Psalm 139, Acts 17:17-28. Brad reminds us that only three things last forever: God, God's word, and people. When we pour our lives into those three things, we often wonder if our purpose and place are what and where they are supposed to be. Especially during the pandemic and the Black Lives Matter movement, Rick reminds us to make every effort to keep the unity of Spirit through the bond of peace. We do this by taking on a Christ-like humility that chooses to listen and leave room for other's pain while being slow to give our own opinions or judgments.

Genesis 32:22-29. Daniel retells the story of Jacob wrestling with God. Between the pandemic and civil unrest over the injustices in our country, this story is a perfect picture of the season we find ourselves in. It can feel like the world is offering up opponents every day, but Daniel reminds us that "all seasons, good and bad, have an end date." Even though we cannot see this end date, we can have hope because God has a purpose for all the pain we experience and because He will bless us at the end of our wrestling.

Ephesians 4:1-7. Love is risky, and yet it is the answer to everything. Jesus commands us to love our neighbor even when that love can come at a cost to our comfort. In the context of the racial injustices of our city and country, it is more critical than ever that we follow this command - to bear with one another in love and to keep the bond of unity through peace. Jon, as he has learned through his protest experiences, implores us to have conversations to get to know our neighbors, even the ones that don't look like us.

Hebrews 12:1-4, 1 Corinthians:24-27. Paul and the author of Hebrews both use the metaphor of running a race for following Jesus. Rufus reminds us that we are not competing against one another, but against our true adversary: Satan. We prepare ourselves for the race by exercising our faith and feeding ourselves with the Word of God. We run with endurance by keeping Jesus and the cross at the forefront of our minds.

In response to the command to always be prepared to make a defense about the hope we have in Christ, Steve shares with us five key witnesses to the truth and authority of Jesus published by RZIM: the witnesses of Jesus' works, his Father, scripture, the Holy Spirit's descent, and the sudden boldness of the disciples.

How do we handle the unfairness of the world? Like in the stories of Joseph and the Canaanite Woman, God does not give equally to all in terms of abilities or experiences. But Justin explains that it is the inequality that exposes the sin in our hearts which is good for us. Let us trust God as the Lord over all things, even when things feel unfair.

Therefore, let us take steps together against that system by praying for our city and actively loving those who do not look like us - just like Jesus did.

Matthew 24 records the dialogue of Jesus with his disciples when they ask him about the time and signs of his returning. In times of Covid-19, it is hard to find the truth. News sources are conflicting and it's difficult to stay updated on the facts. In this scarcity of clarity, we find our hope in Jesus. John 14:6 "I am the way and the truth and the life." By following Jesus through the Word, we will have the wisdom to make discerning decisions for ourselves and in the market place.
