Topic of the show
• Nintendo announced they have sold 906,000 Switch consoles in the US, but independent research group SuperData have revealed the system sold through approximately 2.4 million units worldwide in its first month. Interestingly Nintendo also revealed that The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild sold 1.3 million units in the US, 925,000 copies on the Switch, and 460,000 on the Wii U. PS4 sold through 1 million units in 24 hours in North America.
• NES Classic Edition Cancelation.
Amiibo News
• Hey! Pikmin will have its own unique Amiibo, which will launch on July 28th, 2017.
• Majora's Mask Link, Twilight Princess Link and Skyward Sword Link launch on June 23rd, and will unlock the Skyward Sword armor set and the Fierce Deity armor set in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.
• Cloud Strife, Corrin, and Bayonetta will finally see release on July 21. Interestingly Nintendo announced a Player 2 version for each of these characters, which will be exclusive to certain retail outlets. So in other words, there are two different versions of each of the final Smash Bros Amiibos.
• Nintendo also announced a new set of Splatoon Amiibo that will launch on July 21st featuring new versions of Inkling Girl, Inkling Boy, and a Squid. Splatoon 2 will also be compatible with the previously-released Splatoon Amiibo.
