American politics has captured the world like no other time in our nations history.
We've seen how the last four years has created turmoil and craziness in our nation. We've seen how Trump has taken what President Obama accomplished and stomped on it. We've seen his erractic behavoir and his disgusting antics toward people of color, to calling many nations s&*t-hole nations, to starting race wars, and to giving his homies the biggest tax breaks.
Then strikes covid19 and yet he didn;t care about that either. Which truly has taken many lives and people that we all know and love.
This year has been very tough for many and with this second round of covid19 it may get tougher we continue to battle this disease as well as struggling to survive on a daily basis.
However, with a newly elected President (Joe Biden) we can all hope that many aspects of this ravaged nation get better. Hope is the only thing that we can do at this point. So please join me as we chat, have a laugh a or two and find common ground as we press on in this nation.

The African American spiritual practice of Seven is the number that symbolizes Ka-Maat. The number seven has a spiritual significance as the human body has seven orifices and seven layers of skin. There are also seven days in a week, seven notes on a musical scale, seven seas and continents. As a spiritual practice, Seven represents the number of characters in Ka-Maat, six letters with a hyphen that adjoins and unifies its meaning. Equally, there are seven letters in African. Therefore, we use Seven and Ka-Maat interchangeably as both refers to the African American spiritual practice. The word Ka, pronounced Kah, is an ancient Egyptian word that means the vital energy which both sustains and creates life. The word Maat, also of Egyptian origin, means truth, justice and rightness. Together, Ka-Maat means energy in harmony with truth and righteousness. As a spiritual practice, it is defined as a lifestyle and a commitment to serving the Creator, along with uplifting ourselves, our family and community through on-going acts of positive thoughts and deeds. The practice of Ka-Maat begins with understanding the correlation of the mind, body and soul. The three components of a being are intended to work in harmony as the engine, tires and a driver successfully operates a vehicle. If one component fails to work it renders all three useless. Therefore, the holistic wellbeing of a person is stressed upon and imperative in the practice of Ka-Maat.

She studied acting at New York’s High School of Performing Arts, philosophy at City College of New York, and clinical psychology at Adelphi University. She worked as a waitress, hat-check
girl, and hearing researcher. She was Continuity Director at a New York radio station and Assistant Convention
Manager at the Concord Resort Hotel. More recently, she tutored SAT Prep courses and was Assistant Director of Admissions at a rural community college. Since 1976, she has been following an ancient yogic path; she lived in a meditation ashram for ten years, and traveled to India three times. Rifka currently teaches meditation.

This last week has been out right horrible and tragic. We've seen two tragic deaths of two humans being killed by police officers. Both were black men who had run-ins with police prior. Both men were fathers, and both men were going about their business as usual when their lives ended. Two situations but very different in every way. The sad part is that these situations have happened back to back before and there was no real change. We now have the same thing, but will there be any real change with the gun laws, or any real change in how police depts approach training. All we can do is hope.
As these tragic situations have happened a group calling themselves "Black Lives Matter" have come-up as they say. Many say this group is protesting peacefully, but then many say they are protesting violently. With some attributing to them screaming obscenities and shouting "kill those pigs (refering to police officers). The most alarming bit to this group are the messages between this guy and girl who say are the faces of "black lives matter." Those messages display a plan called the "summer of chaos." That plan is a plan to disrupt communities as well as the democratic and republican conventions that will be happening this month. Those plans are plans to cause chaos any and every where necessary. Tragic I know. One would think this group would want to help their fellow black folks instead creating trouble, more arrest, and possibly more killings. We will see.

For kids that experience domestic violence, many are silent and are too afraid to tell anyone. They live with it into adulthood and have a plethora of issues because of it.
Today we are shining a light on this epidemic because it's an issue that's near and dear to us. It's important for us as women to speak up and talk about it. It's important for us as mothers to speak up and talk about it. It's important for us as a community to speak up and talk aobut it. It's important for us to stand up against it and say no more.

She doesn't let that deter her from staying on the case and solving it.
This read is one to be read over and over again. She's part MacGyver and part nerd but this leading lady is one not to be messed with in the story. It's on and popping as she sets out and get the job done.

In our daily lives we encounter people who seem like they are very confident. They seem as if they have it together, but in reality they are souless,unsure of themselves, infused with hatered, and have no confidence whatsoever. These people are people that are bullys, people who care only for themselves, and are driven to hurt others.
These individuals have what we call a false sense of self. They walk around as "right fighters" and believe their own hot mess. They carry themselves as if nothing is wrong with them but everyone else has issues. Again a false sense of self to the fullest.
Most of you have encountered people like this, whether in relationships, a marriage, family members or collegues. Who ever it is, you have come into contact with a person like this at one time or another.
Think about it. Think about how that person made you feel.

About the Judge's Story:
A Superior Court Judge with a passion for social justice as well as the law strives to discover the truth behind the mystery of a robbery-murder in a small California town in 1939.

But unless the boy identifies his partner, the Judge must sentence him as a murderer, which would result in prolonged jail time. In the backdrop of escalating war in Europe, the financial scarcities of the Great Depression, and the Judge’s caseload, their attempts to find justice for the accused boy and unmask the killer lure the Judge and his friends into sordid criminal activities.

On September 22 2011; 47 year old Barry Deloatch who was unarmed was shot by New Brunswick NJ police while being chased. Mr. Deloatch's family and friends are calling for a full on investigation into his death from outside sources so that they can get clear answers as to what went wrong and why a sensless shooting happened to begin with. This shooting along with other cop shootings is causing a alot of heartache in the community, especially with family and friends of the victims, who are left behind to try to make sense of these tragedies. Many are calling for an investigation into the NBPD, who has been a troubled police department for a long time, to seek understanding on why this corruption has been able to go on. He was introduced to literature early in his life through the influence of his grandfather's library, filled with classic Mexican and European literature. During the 1920s, he discovered the European poets such as Gerardo Diego, and Juan Ramón Jiménez, Spanish writers who had a great influence on his early writings. Paz; a prolific author and poet, published scores of works during his lifetime, many of which are translated into other languages. He's the recipient of many awards such as; the Jerusalem Prize for literature on the theme of individual freedom, the Neustadt Prize and in 1990, he was awarded the Nobel Prize for literature. His reputation in the world of Spanish literature is second only to that of Cervantes, while the sheer volume of his literary output is unequalled, making him one of the most prolific authors in the history of literature. Nicknamed "The Phoenix of Wits" and "Monster of Nature" (because of the sheer volume of his work), Lope de Vega renewed the Spanish theatre at a time when it was starting to become a mass cultural phenomenon. He was also one of the best lyric poets in the Spanish language, and author of various novels. Roche's novel "The Children of the Abbey" was one of the period’s most popular novels, a sentimental Gothic Romance. Her book, "Clermont"¸ was Roche’s only real attempt at writing a truly Gothic novel, and is decidedly darker in tone than anything else she wrote. She wrote 11 more novels, mostly set in the rural Ireland she returned to in the 1820s. She turned to Gothic writing because it was popular at the time and because she needed to support her family after husband died. Parsons was a deeply religious Protestant. She believed in the good being rewarded and the wicked being punished, which shows through in her works. She produced a lot of novels in a short amount of years which critics criticized heavily. Join us as we continue our literary journey with American journalist, critic, and women's rights advocate Margaret Fuller. Known as the first full-time American female book reviewer in journalism; she led quite a life. She became the first editor of the transcendentalist journal The Dial in 1840, before joining the staff of the New York Tribune in 1844. By the time she was in her 30s, Fuller had earned a reputation as the best-read person in New England, and became the first woman allowed to use the library at Harvard College. Fuller was an advocate of women's rights and, in particular, women's education and the right to employment as well as many other reforms. Her best known literary works titled "Woman in the Nineteenth Century" is considered the first major feminist work in the United States. Tune in live as we journey with Margaret Fuller.
