Eternal life means there is no beginning and there is no end. Eternal life means knowing God and Jesus Christ whom He has sent, according to John 17 verse 3. Reading the bible and knowing all the scriptures doesn't guarantee eternal life unless you come and know Him and His son . We tend to be laminated Christians who hide their true personality. Once the lamination is removed the true behavior is revealed. Pastor Roy continued to say that all those laminated works claimed to be of Christ are dead works. He also taught the lifestyle of a true believer, a true believer fears no trial, is tried by God and other people to reveal his or her faith in God. A churchgoer person can be an unconverted person or a converted person. An unconverted person is a Christian who pursues sinful ways while a converted person is a Christian who practices Christ acts. Before you practice christ, the heart and the thoughts need to be right, purity is about the heart and cleanliness is about the actions. Be like David who prayed for three things 1) David wanted to know himself 2) David knows that he can cover up but he understood God will make everything right 3)David wanted to know the wickedness of himself so that he may overcome the situations. What is the need of knowing the wickedness or the enemy in us? We need to overcome our wickedness or the enemy in us. Hebrews 8: 10, Hebrews 9: 11, 1 John 1 vs 9, Proverbs 28: 30, Job 9: 30-31, Psalms 44: 20-21, Psalms 90: 8.
3 John 1 vs 2 " Dear friend, I pray that you may enjoy good health and that all may go well with you, even as your soul is getting along well".Pastor Roy Phillip will teach us about a prosperous soul as he said that material prosperity is always connected to the soul's prosperity."God is interested in our spiritual, physical, and material prosperity but there are some reasons which hinder us from this", he explained. Matthew16: 26 " For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul ?" SHEEP, these are considered among the most foolish among animals yet in the bible, people are related to as sheep. WHY? Should we be offended or are we called to be behave like them??
