A raw conversation with a friend about finding God through the different seasons of life. A journey through worry, doubt, uncertainty to hope, faith and confidence in God and in the truth that He is enough.
We all face interruptions in our lives, unexpected sickness, sudden death, financial challenges, traffic, failing an exam when you expected to go to the next year, tea spills, something breaks as you’ve saved money to do something else etc life is full of interruptions But how we handle them is very key; whether or not we’ll be able to live past those interruptions. God interruptions carry us to places we never dreamed of, allow for us to experience things we never would have experienced, opens doors that we would have never walked into...
There is hope beyond these walls, a dream beyond these walls, a new challenge beyond these walls, a new assignment beyond these walls. Setbacks are temporary. Disappointments are part of the growth curve in this journey called life. Don’t let what didn’t work out yesterday stop you from dreaming again for tomorrow. God isn’t done with you yet:) Give Him your disappointment; trade it for God’s perspective, clarity and a New assignment:)
I believe it’s time for us to be the church beyond the four walls: what does God require of us; to seek, justice, love mercy and walk humbly before him. What does that mean to you? What does that look like in your context? Go and do likewise.
Do you remember who you are? Incase you’ve forgotten look into the face of your heavenly father and allow him to remind you of who you are!
What do we do as we wait on God? Rejoice in hope, Be patient, Stay faithful in Prayer, worship worship WORSHIP!! It shifts our perspective to the one who is more than able.
Sometimes waiting feels a lot like being forgotten...so what do you do when the promise becomes painful to carry. Sometimes we think we have to have it all together before we come to God but he wants to share in the pain,the hurt, the doubt, the disappointment too. He says come to me all you who are weary and burdened and I will give you rest. He’s not looking for perfect put together people he’s calling ordinary people in need of an extraordinary God.
We have a father who is aware of where we are and what we need at every moment in every season of our lives. Choose to rest in the confidence that he knows, he’s aware and he will give us all we need to get us through this season.
Remembering God’s faithfulness in the past gives us hope for the future. We might feel hard pressed by all that’s happening around us lately but don’t let what you see now blur the miracles you have seen before. Don’t be quick to forget what God has done...let’s remind ourselves again.
You are a masterpiece in the hands of the creator. Every detail of your life was intricately planned before you were formed. Life has a way of throwing things at us which make us doubt this truth. But make no mistake, you my friend are God’s masterpiece!
