Yo whats up? Welcome to my podcast. I use this podcast as a means to document my experiences, emotions and thoughts in order to continue growing and learning in Christ! I hope you enjoy
"But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever! Amen” 2 Peter 3:18
Just finished reading the book Jane Eyre and it was SOOO interesting however there were two characters I couldn’t stand. Listen to me rave and rant about this book.
Listen in as I talk about my current thoughts as well as an update on what’s been going on in my life.
My experience at the car dealership, talking about dating, and how I’ve been doing so far.
The title is a call back to one of my previous podcasts. Today I explore a challenging time for me- getting COVID and missing the first week of school. I discuss how I navigated it through the guidance of the Holy Spirit, and express my sheer gratitude of how much I’ve grown in Christ. This reflection is brought to you by Jesus Christ (paid sponsorship because He paid it all on the cross, know what I’m saying lol)
This is a fun podcast I did on my day off. Listen to me rant, talk about open house, first day of school, things I enjoy right now and so much more (not really SO MUCH but maybe just a little more than that).
Loved every ride we went on. These were my favorites in order: 1. Gwazi 2. Shiekra 3. Falcons fury 4. Cobras Curse 5. Montu 6. Kumba 7. Cheetah hunt 8. Carousel 9. Congo River First time on a sibling trip First time using a fast past First time going to a beach resort First time watching the sunset and sunrise from the beach It was a spectacular moment when I was watching the sunset and other people were too and it was just beautiful to see so many people around me breath taken by the sun. Us all just admiring it together in silent reverence gave me a glimpse of what heaven will look like

This is my favorite book at the moment. My favorite lines so far
Pg. 5 - animal consciousness does not extend beyond the given moment…animal pleasures remain close to sensation levels and avoid the perceptual
Pg. 6 - focused consciousness by choice
Pg. 12- hope clouds observation
Pg. 39 - a good ruler has to learn his worlds language, that it’s different for every world….the language you don’t hear just with your ears
Pg. 40 - the mystery of life isn’t a problem to solve but a reality to experience.
Pg. 84 - every experience carries it’s lesson
Pg. 92 - the proximity of a desirable thing tempts one to overindulgence
Pg. 102 - the descriptions of Gurney on this page show exactly why I love this book dearly
Pg. 112 - Paul held himself apart from the humor (this was my absolute favorite line in the entire book)
Overall rating: 7/10 - Interest rating: 8/10 - Originality rating: 8/10 - Scene/set rating: 10/10 - Story structure rating: 7/10
Review of movie
Someone who can dress well when they want to (ie. Joe) Hygiene/cleanliness Someone who when they speak something surprising about them arises (ex. Moe) My favorite: Witty & intelligent humor (like Logan, Niko & Andrew)
Hello! Here’s another episode where we get a little more up close and personal. This is something that’s near and dear to my heart because it’s been something I’ve struggled with for a while and I’m working toward improving and becoming more sustainable in. Join me for this journey!
This morning I just thought why not talk about the beautiful sky and my dream from last night.
My first day @ Kohls was today and let me just say…I’m kind of goated as a worker (jk jk y’all I’m playing stop taking everything so seriously I can never joke with y’all because y’all always wanna make something more serious than it is like I was just trynna say a joke but then y’all teamed up against me and wanted to take it seriously and I was like what’s going on and my hands and back were against the wall and I didn’t know what to do. Y’all cornered me in an alleyway and I was scared for my life.) now if you’ve made it this far, just know all of that in the ( ) a joke too, just for clarification sake. I’m a really good story teller though aren’t I (that’s what we call liars now a days)

Reflections from my graduation party on May 15, 2022. What a blessing it is to graduate and to celebrate with those i value most.
Talking about tips for teaching, my testimony regarding the job fair and getting a job, as well as my thoughts on other things.
This was the last day of my internship that lasted from Fall 2021-Spring 2022. What a blessing it was to be in this class and to teach the students I had. I feel a sense of peace from the events that happened today. I also feel a sense of grief or sadness at the fact that I’m not going to be there any more. However I want to be lead wherever God wants me to be because at the end of the day it’s not about where I want to be, but rather who He wants me to impact next. He is using me as a vessel, and so whenever the next person is who He wants me to touch, that’s where He’ll lead me. I’m also grateful at the fact that I feel satisfied in the work I put in this semester and I believe I fulfilled what God wanted me to fulfill this year. Thank You Lord for Your many opportunities and blessings. To You and You alone be all glory, praise and dominion now and forever more. Amen.
“I speak to the black experience, but I am always talking about the human condition” - Maya Angelou

BEWARE! There are spoilers in this podcast so if you want to read the book before you listen, do so! The book is called So Many Beginnings by Bethany C Morrow.
Book- Bedtime Bonnet by Nancy Red. Today I walk through a discussion on class meeting, it’s importance and how to represent Black History authentically within these contexts. It felt very much not like black people were put on the spotlight but that black people were given a role and line and everyone in the class contributed in the play.

Dear Future Hannah Remember to recount your celebrations. The day may not have been perfect, but what was something that did work?
Routines/Procedures to use in my classroom: Getting new marker/glue sticks before class starts No sharpening pencils & no handheld pencil sharpeners. Put pencils cubby and whoever's job it is will sharpen it Line order Doorbell to get attention CHAMPs Reading buddies weekly Having copies ready week before (and put them in tabs labeled for each day) The trays for turning assignments in and the board where you write what goes where The filing doo hickey that's blue with all the labels makes it easier for me to file students by name Teacher tool box with everything labeled Sub station
The sermon: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=3O0W5dm5i10
My notes: The beatitudes are the way in which Christ invites us to live in Micarious (happiness, blessedness) despite living in this evil world and this created and carnal body
Poor in spiritual their lives don’t promote their happiness independently of God How blessed are those who know their need of God
How do you become mournful? Be around those who are mourning It will cause you to be empathetic but it will also cause your heart to be shaped by vulnerability and not security. By you seeing others ñourning you recognize your limits of generotisty and it will cause you to go to God. It will eliminate materialism Align yourself, associate yourself and connect yourself with those who are mourning (to those who are at the whims of the powerful, injustice, pain, etc)
Information does not incur transformation. Living is what develops transformation
Meekness- still before the Lord, not fretting Even when you see those around you prospering, you wait for the Lord Humble patience especially when provoked by others
Righteous - right living
Let this be the goal of my life. Lord give me a willing spirit to pursue this more than life.
Matthew 5:3-6
Thanks for listening! I just want to record some of my favorite videos from my favorite content creators so that future Hannah can look back on this and remember!
What I love: Uplifting community through humor, uniquely being yourself, wholesome and honest content and creative direction.
The description with all the links ended up being too long, however here’s a Google Doc you can check out with all of it on there! https://docs.google.com/document/d/132uqVuez5EjojX439QQeZ2VWxn0XiQw_QEqzvTnTUlo/edit. Please keep in mind though that when I transferred it from on my phone to the Google Doc all the links are no longer clickable so you’ll have to type in or copy and paste the video titles into the search bar of YouTube (unless I feel like going back and doing all that work, which…right now I’m not up for that). :))
To future Hannah: Remember to do what’s required of you in this season, enjoy the moment for what it has to offer and remember your priorities.
What worked 1. Bucket lists 2. Beebop w Ka’Mari 3. Sabbath 4. Counseling 5. Establishing a rhythm prior to semester 6. Lighting candles during homework 7. Asking God what’s required of me each day 8. Playlists for each semester 9. Put pictures in album to savor memories 10. Using a alarm clock

Ka’Mari is my best friend and that’s just that on that. Thanks Ka’Mari for being you. I love you!
Points 1. Transitional Friend 2. Transformational Friend
Through my relationship with Ka’Mari I’m able to not only glorify God as an individual but also through our relationship too.
Thanks for listening, I hope you enjoyed.
To my future self: Remember your passions are your passions. you are passionate about - admiring and appreciating beauty (specifically the beauty/art of people pursuing or doing well in their passions) - Organizing and making spaces comfortable and efficient for yourself and others. - Film commentary - Analyzing details - Podcasting
Just because you admire something or someone doesn’t mean you need to pursue that thing or that person.
And remember that everything that’s beautiful, creative, unique, good, awesome, funny, or admirable is merely fractured (sometimes even marred) reflections of Gods beauty and creativity and uniqueness and hilariousness. Because God is awesome.
Thank you for tuning in, this is just an update on what’s been going on in the 813 (I think that’s my area code in Tampa? Idk).
To my future self: Don’t live with nobody again!
True friend - I’ve found a new definition.
To future Hannah - Remember that in every challenge, your core values and convictions are revealed and shown for what they are. Remember to focus on God.

To future Hannah: Don’t substitute who you are for what you think others expect you to be.
What are your priorities? Who are your priorities?
Recognize where to place the people in your life. Some people are simply acquaintances, some people are friends and some people are close like family. When you know where to put the people in your life, you’re able to attribute accountability and expectations accordingly.

To my future self: 1. Recognize your concerns and cares, write them down because they are valid. 2. Write “My God…” and fill in the blank. My favorite to start with is “my God is bigger than the boogie man” to remind me of who He is. This reminds me of who my God despite my concerns and cares. 3. Write what you’re thankful for, starting each sentence stem with “I am thankful for” in order to remind yourself to be grateful. Gratitude grounds you.
Hello everyone! Yes, I said it, your best days are ahead! Why? Listen to find out.

You learn what works best for you and you commit to that because that’s when you’re the truest you that you can be. You have a fervent passion for what you do and it’s hard not to see!

To my future self, Sometimes you just have to think about things like how you don’t want to think about things (https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=s5OB62SIFWE). Remember that everything in life is developmental. It won’t all happen at one time, you must remember to be patient. A tree doesn’t strive, all it does is remain still and yet the tree still grows higher than you could ever reach on your own! That’s because God takes care of them, they yield to His control because they are His creation, and so are you. Yield to Him today and watch Him grow you in unimaginable ways! :)

Thank you all for listening! I hope you enjoyed and maybe even found some tidbits of your own that you can take away (or some timbits - the Canadian donut - idk).
To my future self, here are some quick reminders: - Focus on friendship- being a faithful, loving and encouraging friend - You’re now at a place of awareness which is a great step to growth but don’t forget where you want to be- at a place of being a loving, encouraging and kind friend to all of the young men in your life. - Your desire (of emotional, spiritual and sexual intimacy within the covenant of marriage) should not trump your love for people. Love as God loved. - Controlling and managing the fire of this desire is not meant to be done on your own- trust that God will help you and guide you. - It’s easy to love people when it’s convenient or beneficial for you, but it’s hard to sacrifice you desires in order to love someone else the best you can. Meaning you may have to sacrifice the crush you have on someone if it means you can love them better by viewing them as a brother in Christ. That you way you respect and honor them as the young man they’re created to be rather than the young man you want, hope or expect them to be for you.
Grace and peace to you all! I love you! :)
Thank you all for listening! I hope this inspires you all to give yourself and others the grace to grow.
To my future self: remember that you are not required to be perfect, nor can you be. It’s through your weakness, your imperfection that God’s perfection is shown and glorified. Choose today to give yourself the grace to grow in Christ.

My new word of this season is balance. I’ve been seeing a lot about it lately. And as I processed through some ideas in this podcast, I realized it all came back down to this idea of balance.
On this episode of Breaking It Down, Ka’Mari and I discuss sensory overload- what it means, our experiences with it, and what we can do to prevent it.

In this episode I dive deeper into this comparison between the characteristics of good mothers and the nature of God!
“This mountain was placed in my way so that my life can truly and purely reflect the One who can move it”.
More field notes from my weekend at the Navigators Recharge event!!! Taking a moment to dive deep into scripture and meditating on it!! Let’s go. ;)
Ka’Mari and I have this running joke about how we as humans can be so dramatic sometimes. And in this joke we discussed specifically people who “know their worth” and will never let you not know it. They say things like “I know my worth and I know I deserve better than....” And although this is comedic to us, spiritually all of us do this to some degree- we struggle on this balance of knowing our worth in Christ. Listen to find out more! ;)
In this podcast I discussed a lot of the things I learned from the Recharge event I went to on last Saturday! It was refreshing! I felt...como se dice...recharged! Lol. Enjoy!!! ;)
Just me discussing some things I’m learning! Field notes: taking notes of what I’m observing and experiencing throughout this new season!
Now I know that this is so random but I just had to upload it because it had such an impact on me! I hope you enjoy it's on the house! :)
Today we tackle one of biggest obstacles in my life: fear. I'll share with you what I learned and what God showed me! :)

Welcome to the Young Women After God's Heart podcast! We're starting a new season, following the series of True Freedom: understanding what it is and how to apply it to our lives! Join us as we dive into the issues that keep us bound and how to overcome through Christ!
Today we look into my first week at USF- the ups, the downs and the in-between. I discuss what I’ve learned this week, my goals for the next week, my scriptures of the week and my favorite songs this week too!! Everything’s an adventure! Let’s get it.
Now this one is a good 2 parter! Definitely my favorite and the one I'm trying my hardest to live!
"[I] continually ask God to fill you with knowledge of His will through all the wisdom and understanding that the Spirit gives, so that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and please Him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God..." - Colossians 1:9-10
I decided to combine these two voice recordings into one episode. And behold....it's what I learned!
The author of Ecclesiastes said it best "He [God] has made everything beautiful in its time" (Ecclesiastes 3:11).
Once again inspired by a movie (see the trend? I always seem to be inspired by a movie or a show or some video lol), I set out to record my thoughts on Mr. Rogers: a person who inspires me to better represent Christ in my own life.
After watching Hamilton for the first time on 7/3/2020 (because it came out on Disney Plus) I was incredibly inspired and in awe of how amazingly fantastic it was. The whole thing was FANTABULOUS!
This is a 2 parter- just combined two of the voice memos I recorded about what God spoke to me.
There are a lot of people who inspire me: Jesus, my parents and my siblings, and my best friend Ka'Mari. But today I discuss two other people who inspired me after watching their YouTube channel. Check out the links below! :)

Let's take a dive into what peace truly is: the peace that transcends all understanding!
The first half of this podcast is a raw, honest moment of me feeling in a pit. The other half is about Prayer, Praise and Patience: the keys to getting out of a pit, and getting closer to God.
Here, I list some ideas for the upcoming retreat (July 25th, 2020) and some ideas for my family's Wednesday bible study! Learning to walk...again!
People always think you can learn from watching TV...well, I just learned that the Red Sea is actually called the REED Sea! Listen to this, then watch the show "The Buried Secrets of the Bible" on National Geographic!
To be honest, I don't even really remember what I recorded in this. I just want to make sure all of my recordings are on here and saved in a way where they can't be deleted.
