When Jesus walked on the water, the disciples were afraid until they were close enough to recognize Him. The description of Peter stepping out of the boat and beginning to sink when he took his eyes off Christ serves as a powerful example. It illustrates how being grounded in God's Word helps us keep our focus on Christ rather than on ourselves. In this episode, we ask: Do we truly place our full weight and trust in God's Word and what it actually teaches? Or do we try to interpret God's Word through our own understanding?
Are we receptive to God’s call in a broken world? Do we understand His message, and are we willing to take action to fulfill His will? In this episode, we discuss the obstacles that prevent us from hearing God and growing in our faith. What can we do to cultivate good soil so that we can produce the fruits God calls us to bear?

Our discussion discusses the call of Matthew, a Levite who was not walking in the call of his tribe, which was to serve the priests and teach people the Bible truths. Instead, he chose to serve the Romans. Jesus called Matthew, and He left his job with the Romans collecting taxes. Matthew holds a dinner with many sinners and tax collectors who were trying to follow Jesus too. (Mark) Some Pharisees protest his eating with sinners. Jesus begins to teach the people at the dinner that God wants compassion and mercy. The study unfolds and is surprising to many of the men. One man who does study the Bible on his own said, "This is the best Bible study I have seen in a long time."
Please note that our worship is from Hosea Chapter 6

We are concluding this Men's Series on Jesus Christ our Lord's Sermon on the Mount. We will begin again in Matthew 8
In His sermon, which is very powerful, He is correcting the poor, conclusive teachings of the Pharisees, which helped misguide the Jews to false conclusions about the law, AND AWAY FROM THE LORD.
Instead of teaching the law of Moses (the first five books of the Bible), they taught their interpretation of the Bible; as such, they teach commentary! They called this the "traditions of the fathers". Not the tradition of their Father in Heaven.
So John the Baptist was sent to get the Jews back on track because they knew what sin was, and keeping man's traditions is not a biblical approach, nor does it lend change in the person's heart for the Holy Spirit and to please God. They needed to repent of their sin to God, not the breaking of Jewish laws vs God's laws. We need to be aware of this in our own lives today. What laws are we following...
Sadly, we often do this in church. We put our programs and traditions ahead and want people to conform to those to fit in. It is powerful and subtle. We need to ensure that we submit ourselves to the word of God as our source, and this is the focus of our study today.
Learn about the laws in the book of Moses, 613, and how to love God through Christ Jesus by obeying His commandments through His disciples in our new covenant. There are 1642 laws!
The law of God is to convict us of sin and show that we need a Savior. We must be born again to follow God into Eternity.

Jesus leaves Nazareth and heads for Capernaum, where he will begin to commission the disciples. When asking the men to follow him, they immediately drop what they're doing. Do we follow Jesus when we invite him into our lives as Lord and Savior? Join BSC as we discuss how to follow Jesus.
We look closely at how people are being used by Satan to lie, kill, and steal. Daniel most likely trained the Magi to look for the coming Messiah, who would be King over Israel. These men feared God, obeyed Him, and worshiped their King even from a foreign country because this King is over the Universe. Will we make Christ our King? Will we come and worship Him? Will we look for His star? Will we obey God when He changes our plans?

Next, we dive into the promised birth of Christ. What is remarkable is why God chose so few people to reveal Himself to for His birth and coming. We get the answer in the last verse of chapter 1. Can you determine what qualities it will be that Mary and Joseph had?
Folks, this is a question Dallas posed and is a good one. Are they abandoned by God? No, according to Romans 11:28-29. (may want to read 10-11. They did not choose faith, which is to believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, but they had their version of what the Messiah would look like. What you will see is there are different ways to view eschatology. Next week, we will continue our discussion of the Beatitudes. A master class in how to study the Bible CORRECTLY WITH FAITH.
In Galatians 1:13, Paul talks about his past life as a Jew and how he used to persecute the Church of God. The people who believed Jesus Christ as the coming Messiah were part of this church. Later, Paul's eyes were opened to the truth about Jesus, and he became a follower. This raises a question: do we truly understand what Christ has done for us, and are we willing to believe that he can forgive our sins? If you're interested in exploring this topic further, you can listen to a thought-provoking discussion with Ric and Dylan.

You need to know if you are walking according to the correct biblical doctrine regarding tongues. Some charismatics will accuse you of "being too religious" at the expense of the Holy Spirit. However, is this true, or are they being religious? I had to face all of these questions. If I don't know what I am praying and therefore do not know what the answer is... is that prayer?
How is prayer portrayed in the Bible? Not one instance of prayer as a tongue. So what are we doing? Find out in this upcoming series.
Is it prayer if we have no idea what we are praying? What is the answer to this prayer? Can the enemy deceive millions of people? Can the enemy deceive Adam and Eve who were sinless? Yes. Listen as Ric explains an overview of Pentecostal and Charismatic influence on God's people and how it can set you on the wrong path biblically. 00:00 Introduction 01:36 Starting down the road of performance based Christianity 02:25 How I learned to speak in tongues 04:05 Getting both sides of the story to avoid deception 05:50 How to learn to speak in tongues 12:20 Apostles today? 13:15 Is the Bible our foundation? 15:10 Owning charismatic experience 21:26 AntiChrist and Signs and Wonders

Should we rethink discipleship? Are programs and books the way to go, or is learning to study the Bible correctly the best process? How do churches look at discipleship? How do the people in the pews see it? Is there a disconnect? Can you define what discipleship is? What is discipleship in Judaism? The disciples studied under the Lord Jesus Christ. He is their Creator! In effect, He wrote the Bible. We are to learn from Christ's life and the Apostles' teaching. See Acts 2:42.
Where do we start, in the church or on your own?

Goals of study should be to engage the biblical text by gently showing proper biblical study principles
Consider using this type of small group bible study as an evangelism tool
Change the motivation from learning "about the bible" to asking the Lord how to live praiseworthy to Him from the biblical text and what His plans and purposes are for our lives that we glean from the text. When Christians try to understand the Trinity, they sometimes do not understand how God can come down in the flesh. Genesis 18:2 shows this very well.
But Jesus was 100% God and 100% a man. Daniel shows this together with the Ancient of Days and the Son of Man. Adam and Eve were sinless and then sinned. For JWs, how would our sins be forgiven if Christ was not God because only God is sinless? And how would he be able to die for the sin of the world, us who were born under sin, if He was not 100% man and 100% God? He could cry out, "It is finished," as He declared all those who would believe by faith that He was God. 1 Cor 15:1-4. He rose again and appeared to the disciples so that we would know our promise of eternal life.
No one is saved without placing their faith in Christ. But how? Pray to the Lord, place your sins on Him, believe that He is God and that He died for your sin,s and ask him into your heart. He will cause you to be born again from above (John 3). Without that, no one is saved.
All other religions, even some Christian religions, ask you to work to be saved, but Christ wants us to believe in Him. Then He helps us from the inside out to do things for Him. We walk through life under His precious blood, which is the grace of God teaching us away from ungodliness. Titus 2:11-12
Challenge. When you read the Gospels and see Jesus doing something or not knowing something, think about why the Holy Spirit is showing this particular situation. Could it be to teach us how to respond? We are to follow Him. We are to be His disciples. It makes for an interesting study.

Spiritual warfare Part 1 Can a Christian have a demon?
I am with Dylan Browning for a two-part series on Spiritual Warfare. Dylan also studies scripture to live a praiseworthy life to God with Biblestudycompany.com. Dylan came from a Pentecostal/charismatic background and encountered a man who believes Christians can have demons. He recently attended this man’s conference and came back with some questions on spiritual warfare. My challenge was this; let’s study what you currently know about this topic in the Bible, and then we can have a podcast. He eagerly decided on the bible study! After his research, we met several times to hone the podcast.

Sad news: Erv's cancer has spread. The pancreatic cancer is in remission but has moved to the liver and limp glands. He has just started a long series of chemotherapy, but Erv is in good spirits and hopeful. The chemo helped with his pancreatic cancer, and the Docs say this will help too. But you can help. First, with prayer for help and healing. Second, he has to pay $300 per treatment for 26 treatments, and his insurance will not cover it, and he is on a limited income. As we contemplate the new year have you wondered, "Can God use my life? I am just a nobody in my job and family and doing nothing important". Every person was made by God to serve Him. Our focus is to minister to Him. He wants us to be somebody to Him.
Let's take the time to read Psalm 139 for worship.
Next: We will examine the story of David becoming king from God's perspective in 1 Samuel 16 whole chapter.
What does "David was a man after God's own heart" actually mean. And how did David become king? Why did God make David king while Saul was still king?
How can we be people after God's own heart?
What steps did David take for God to pick him as king? Can you take the same steps.
Do you study the bible from a youframe perspective or Godframe approach to live pleasing to God?
Join us for reframing your new year.

But is this the Frame that God approves? Adam and Eve had one law or rule which God gave them that was a negative rule. Although God created them to do His will on earth, they chose to sin. What is sin? Choosing our will over God's will. We think we know best. We believe we are a "good person." And the list goes on. Choosing our "frame" over His frame?
Is there a Godly Frame? Or rather a biblical framework to see life through? Yes.
Hint. We are not in the frame! God and His word sit firmly in the BiblicalFRAME.
Our list starts here. Theme-based study.
Creator. His world, His rules Gen Chapt 1-3
"Minister to Me..." Exodus 28:1
Judah/Jews "One who praises God." Gen 29:35
"Serve Me." The highest purpose of man Exodus 4:22-24
Walk in a manner worthy of the calling Eph 4:1
Our purpose 2Cor 5:1-11
"Take up your cross daily..." Matthew 16:24-26
So we are not deceived, God gave us the Bible and the HS. 1john2:26
When we decided to set our lives and hearts at His feet as a servant then we will take His Word to us and get serious that we are not the center of our lives but the Lord Jesus Christ is the center and we serve Him.
Taking up our cross is placing our will on the cross and going after Him. How can we do that? By submitting to the Holy Spirit as He teaches us away from ungodliness. How do we know what is ungodly? Through His word.

Scriptures for study
Did you know faith is a gift of God? So is our salvation.
We learn prayers from Paul.
We are to have the eyes of our hearts opened. We need a spirit of revelation and wisdom.
This sets us apart for Him.
It gives us a heavenly way to view our walk with Christ.
Join us for this podcast and video.
Erv's cancer may be back. We are both scared but decide to worship during the news. Our Creator made us with a choice. To choose our will or His will. His will is we totally trust Him with our lives. We do so with worship in the midst of bad news. Worship with us. Grab your psalm and pray with us through this news.
Redemption and what it means. The forgiveness of our trespasses (sins) against God's laws. The good news (Gospel) is that we cannot earn or work our way to a relationship with God. We need a rescue (redemption). Christ did it all.
It is through Christ's blood. Christ dying for our sin is how we know God came to earth. He was able to fix Adam's sin, forgive our sin 6,000 years later, and forgive the whole world's sin. Each person has an opportunity to access this forgiveness. All we need is to ask Christ to save us with a sincere heart, as Erv and Ric did.
Did you know we have access to knowing God's will? We do! Christ, it says of Christ,
"7 In Him, we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace 8, which He lavished on us. In all wisdom and insight 9, He made known to us the mystery of His will, according to His kind intention which He purposed in Him"
We need to carry these verses about "who" we are in Christ. We are a new creature, and the old has passed away, as Paul says. But why are we knew? What does that mean? It means we are now in Christ, and He gives us the power (grace through His Holy Spirit) to do His will.
But what if we don't want to? Tell Him. Be honest. Have a relationship with the God of the Universe Who died for you and us. Join us for worship and study of God's word. Grab your psalms and join us to give God glory in our study. He deserves it!
We worship using Psalms
We talk about what it means to be predestined. And we discuss that we are adopted into the family of God.
We discuss God's kind intention of His will, which is what we are after as we study the Bible, and what that means for our lives.
We talk about the praise and glory of His grace and how that matters. Grace is always moving us away from ungodliness which is toward God's will in our life.
We talk about "in Christ", "in the beloved" and what that means for us. We are no longer a part of the world. Yet we live in it. But He lives in us!
We get into specifics about redemption, what it means for the Gospel, and our daily lives. Do we understand salvation correctly?
He lavished His love, grace, and forgiveness on us and we are still in amazement! We just need to believe in Him. Put our full weight of trust in Him and have the assurance of the things hoped for.
Join us to see how we can live praiseworthy to God. BTW you can use this bible study with a group if you like.
Erv is approaching his 1st anniversary after becoming born again. His life has dramatically changed.
The second week we had a Bible Study he said something similar to this: "Ric and Pete, I am stuck at home with my pancreatic cancer. I do not know if I will live long. But how can God use me? How can I share the Gospel with people". Pete and I shared that we should just ask God for the opportunity. Erv, within two or three weeks, was sharing the Gospel of Christ in a youth prison where he still serves! He was asked to run a nursing Bible study AND has found a home church. Your prayers have helped to put him in remission! God's glory! His testimony has been seen thousands of times on youtube and Facebook! He is sharing what God has done for him! You can too!
Ric and Erv started a bible study that we have been doing all year. We decided to record them so people could enjoy the back and forth and use good bible study principles. Ric gets to see the changes in Erv. His wife says to him when he gets grumpy (and you would too if you were sick with cancer), "Hey, are you reading your bible and talking to Ric?" He picks up the phone! This is mentoring and we are mentoring each other! Grab a mentor.
This week we start a study in Ephesians.
We learn about these topics.
What is the will of God? How do we find it? Did you know God wants you to please Him with your life? But how?
What is the difference between an Apostle and Disciple?
We talk about what Grace is and what it is not, and why we need to respond to God
When Paul talks about Peace, what does he mean? Too often, we just read over verses and don't pause to ask the HS for help in understanding. Peace with God is a giant concept that needs to be understood. Paul sets the stage for understanding all of Ephesians with this simple line. Think: We have Peace with God! The war is over! We have eternal life and much, much more, as Paul will explain!
What does "in Christ" mean?
Join us for these Bible Studies. Ask questions. Let's be a community of bible studiers, so we learn to live a life pleasing to God.

So if we want to keep the Torah (Law of Moses), how will we do it? We learned that not even Orthodox Judaism is Torah observant.
We heard from people who said, "Ric, how will we know what sin is if we don't keep Torah"? Our answer is the entire New Testament, written by Christ's direct representatives; the Apostles have many "laws" and explains the Torah. The old testament was pointing to Christ. Christ came. Now what? Keep Torah? No.
The bottom line is that in Ephesians 2, Paul lays out for both Jew and Gentiles that we are now "in Christ." Think of an envelope covered in Divine blood. We are now, "in the envelope," in Christ.
When Christ took the wine and broke the bread, representing His Body (may we say our efforts?) and the wine (blood) poured out for our sin (missing God's will for our lives), Christ was able to release us (may we say fulfill?) from our obligations as Jew and Gentiles through the Cross for our sin! Glory to God!
What was the result? Christ said it best: John 2:19 Jesus answered them, "Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up." A change has taken place: A New Covenant is here! While some would say the New Covenant is only for the Jewish people, we can benefit as Gentiles. How? Because we become Born Again. We are made alive "in Christ" by the Holy Spirit of God.
Remember the envelope? Could you think of us as inside of Christ? Christ was able to keep the law and pay all penalties. We get to "hide" in Him! Paul said: Eph 2: "14 For He Himself is our peace, who made both groups into one and broke down the barrier of the dividing wall, 15 by abolishing in His flesh the enmity, which is the Law of commandments contained in ordinances, so that in Himself He might make the two into one new man, thus establishing peace, 16 and might reconcile them both in one body to God through the cross, by it having put to death the enmity." Peace; THE WAR IS OVER WITH GOD! Hallelujah!
Is the law abolished? No. Are our efforts to keep the law abolished? Yes, because no one could as humans. Remember His Body was broken for us. All of our efforts are "filthy rags." Our sin debt is paid. The Holy Spirit is now in us and teaching us "away" from ungodliness! Titus 2:11-12
Mary and I look at it this way. Where are our eyes? On Christ? Or the Torah? We know we better have our eyes on Christ. He is our Maker. If my focus is keeping Torah or any program about us "doing," then my eyes are off of Christ. We also will compare ourselves to others. Otherwise, how do we know we are "doing it," right?
We know that people who want to keep the law are wanting to please God. But is our job to do what the Jewish people could not? No. When my focus is on Christ, I can let the Holy Spirit work on my sin in this body. Do I have sin my life? Do I Lie? Steal? Cheat? Lust? Work until I drop? Think about allowing the word of God to show you sinful motives. From motives is where sin is born.
Let's walk in the Spirit, letting Him lead us to proper biblical study methods to live a praiseworthy life to God for His plans and purposes!

Some gems Baruch lays out.
Judaism is not Torah Observant today. Those who claim to be Torah keeping need to be aware that over 250 "laws" or instructions are related to the Temple being in place. Thus, no one is a true Torah Keeper.
There are many versions of Judaism in the US. 3. The "Law" is a unit. If we cannot keep the "law" with no temple in place so then the whole law is "broken." We can learn much about spiritual truth, and that should be our focus when studying the Torah.
We all must base our doctrine on the Word of God and our study with the Holy Spirit. We should not follow men.
We are saved by grace alone, through faith alone as Abraham was.
In Ephesians 2, the penalty and the debt we owed to God was paid by our Messiah, the Lord Jesus Christ.
How does Christ fulfill the law? Watch the video or listen.
We must be careful not to disparage a group or church in our process or compare ourselves over other Christians. Keep our eyes focused on Christ.
Sabbath is a day of rest. We worship God EVERY DAY, ALL DAY.
The whole Bible is available to us, and we need to learn how to handle the Word of God rightly.

Highlights of the interview:
Dr. Goepfrich gem of a statement: "Christ was not the atonement for our sin...HE PAID FOR IT ALL. Christ gave us the great exchange. He took our sin to the cross, paid the price for our sin that we could not, and then gave us His righteousness. Thus it is as if we never sinned! Do we keep on sinning? No, because the power of the Holy Spirit is to train us away from ungodliness (Titus 2:11-12)
Goepfrich gem #2: Jewish people, before Messiah came, had to go to the temple. WE ARE THE TEMPLE!
Goeprich gem #3: Christ didn't abolish the law; HE COMPLETED IT! We have a new beginning with the Holy Spirit inside of us.
Goepfrich gem #4 We are not under the Mosaic law. We are under the law of Christ!
Goepfrich gem #5 Should Christians keep the Shabbat? It is wise to have a day of rest. So the "spirit" of Shabbat is to be dependent on God every day, but a day of rest is important. The "church" is not a nation as Israel was.
Where does the church appear in the Old Testament? Hint...oops, watch the video or podcast.

So why do this series? Some in this Mosaic law-keeping movement are referred to as the: Hebrew Roots Movement (HRM). However, law-keeping is also in some legalistic churches as well, usually called performance-based to get God to "move" on their behalf.
The Torah was part of a covenant with Israel after God miraculously created a nation from Egypt to keep His promise to Abraham. The Sinai covenant is detailed for the life the Israelites were to live in the promised land. The "promised land" can be a symbol of the Bible we have today. As Christian, we can submit our hearts and will to the Word of God to live praiseworthy to God in our daily lives. Why? Because we have the entire Bible at our disposal from Genesis to Revelation. When we were in Messianic Judaism, we heard of law-keeping groups and even horror stories of cult-like behavior.
The extraordinary things about people caught up in this movement have several things in common:
A love for God, and they wish to please Him and thus do not want to miss anything He has and least of all, disobey Him. Obeying the Mosaic law can set people up to a type of bondage based on someone's (a leader's) interpretation of the Bible. Keeping the Mosaic law will depend on the group and leader's interpretation of what to do.
A misunderstanding of proper biblical study methods by taking the Bible in the Old Testament and applying it to obey today rather than the principles Scripture is trying to teach us. Suitable Bible study methods can help us sort this out.
Nearly everywhere in the Bible, even in the New Testament, the word "law" is interpreted as "Mosaic law," thus, a bias is created TO OBEY THE MOSAIC Law when none exists. Christ referred to the "Law and the Prophets." However, the Samaritans were only focused on the Torah as mentioned in John 4.
A disdain for current Christian churches and practices, which they assume are anti-Law. We will sort through this as well.
A misunderstanding of the Grace of God as a license to sin. When in reality, Titus 2:11-12 shows us that the Holy Spirit will "teach" us away from ungodliness. How do we know what is ungodly? Through the Whole Counsel of God (Bible). The New Testament, written by Christ's direct representatives, the Apostles, gives us an interpretation of the Old Testament! If you are in the Grace of God, you are turning FROM sin...not TO sin.
Today, or in this particular time, after the Cross of our Lord, we are under His blood and have forgiveness of our sin. We can now give Him a gift. We can offer, at the feet of His Throne, our will and our life. He is our Creator and Savior.
Are you in a group like this? No worries. Remember, always follow the Holy Spirit's leading. Put all the teaching you hear up against the Word of God. He will lead you. Psalm 23.
Feel free to ask God questions. He will help you. And contact us. We will be happy to help you sort this out. We will explore these areas of concern that have caused many to become ensnared. None of what we write or say should offend anyone. If we do, please remember that we were caught up in some of these groups as well. But because we wanted to study Scripture to live a praiseworthy life to God, He led us to correct Biblical study principles.

Is the wilderness going into the desert to be with God? Are we called "out" of the world (Egypt) but still be in it? We discuss these topics and why knowing what "dabbar" means is crucial in our bible study. One of the names of God is YHVH (Jehovah) Dabbar which translates to Jehovah Speaks. And when God speaks...we need to listen. But is there a difference between a casual conversation (amar) that indicates a relationship with God and God's revelation (dabbar)? Yes, there are differences!
Then we need to ask: "Lord, what is the difference between God's revelation and God's casual conversation with us?" Do we receive "new" revelation today? No, because we have complete Scripture called the Bible, which has Genesis to Revelations. But we do have a relationship with God, and He does speak to us and He does illuminate to us Biblical truths.
Let's find out the differences! Join us! Please share your thoughts, and please share.

To learn about salvation:
To be v.s. to do. Did we just define our struggle in our life? We start our second Bible Study of Ephesians with the biblical study principles on what Paul is communicating what we "are" in Ephesians 1. So we are to "be" in GOD's POWER v.s., not to "do" IN OUR POWER and strength. But this is where we live, in our heads, emotions, and our will. How can we change to "be" in His will? Easy to say, hard to accomplish. But not complicated in His power. Let's see. Our podcast and video are the practical applications of our DEPENDENCE ON GOD, not on our strength. Did you know Adam and Eve were to have God's help daily to carry out God's will while they were in the Garden? Yes, our lives were never meant to be lived without God's help. Paul explains we are IN Christ now. Yet, our struggle continues. Adam and Eve decided to do their own will, and this rebellion caused them separation from their CREATOR. Christ came as a sinless man, and also God Almighty, the same One in the Garden, Who was to help Adam and Eve carry out God's will. Through the blood of Christ, even though we are in our sinful flesh, we have the Holy Spirit given to us to help us carry out His will, with "every spiritual blessing," which is HIM! We can get excited about this and worship our Creator. He wants us to be dependent on Him. How do we practice this principle? By having our hearts submitted to His Word and be in personal fellowship with Christ and realize we are to "be" in Christ. Join us for this revealing podcast!

Ephesians Bible Study with Bible Study Company
Computers come with, what we in IT call, "bloatware". This pre-loaded software, although meant to be helpful, is biased toward the computer maker. However, this pre-load can seriously slow down the performance of a computer. Ric goes through each computer we buy and unchecks the software to prevent it from starting up and causing the computer to slow down. It uses computer resources we need such as memory to perform daily tasks. It has to go.
We are similar to a computer. We can come with preloaded software (ideas and beliefs) that include; bias towards how we grew up. Mary was Catholic and has a bias caused by being in the Catholic church. We discuss the particular quirks of growing up in different mindsets. We can say we are almost pre-programmed toward a certain group, denomination, or religion. For example, in charismatic circles, there are all sorts of denominational beliefs and doctrines (pre-loaded software beliefs) that never get sorted out? These "pre-loaded biases" can split churches.
We explore how we can be willing to "clear the deck" and build a new foundation based on proper biblical study patterns. Then we can eventually add back in the beliefs we hold in a particular denomination or doctrines or toss them out for a foundation based in biblical principles. Are you willing to toss out cherished beliefs if they don't match up to Scripture? The disciples were faced with this pre-loaded teaching as well. Christ changed it all. He even said "don't build your house on the sand (man's opinion) but on the Rock (Him).
Ric and Mary Joyner discuss our "pre-loads" and the type of hindrance they can become. How do we clear out these programmed biases? Our podcast will discuss exactly how we can change our mindsets by beginning our study in Ephesians.
Remember to share with a friend. This helps us grow and get the word out.
These principles are what we learned from studying Exodus. Exodus is a picture of our Christian walk, according to Dr. Baruch Korman of loveisrael.org.
If so, what truths did we learn?
We learned about His Character.
We learned His purposes for us and his wonderful intentions.
We learned we could depend and lean on Him.
That we should not be grumblers in our tents (homes)
That tents represent an eternal perspective vs. "being invested" in the world
God will meet our needs.
Suffering is part of the package because we are in a dying world.
Fear is a waste when the God Who parted the Red Sea has our back.
These truths are what Mary and I rewatched and were amazed at what God revealed to us as we looked back. And we all desperately need God's revelation!
We are taking God's word seriously, and it shows by what He shared with us. We became more and more hungry for these truths and principles, and based on proverbs 1; we can see that God wants to speak to us...if we're going to listen.

When the Amalekites attacked the Israelites, we learned a valuable lesson: Satan uses people. And he can use us if we are not careful. Our reactions to people matter. Anytime anger is involved or if people treat you poorly, make sure you worship the Lord rather than reacting.
Ric and Mary discuss how they could obtain a new foundation in Christ by setting aside what they had previously learned and allowed the Lord to lay a new foundation as they studied the Word with a fresh perspective.
If we ask Him in our study to show us His will, He delights in our new attitude, and based on Proverbs 1; we can be sure of this promise that; The God of the Universe will give us revelation. If we are seeking knowledge, then we must ask ourselves: Is it for Him or us? Our mission is to study the Bible to find out how to please the Lord and perpetually ask Him how we can respond to His Word correctly.

We participated in churches for many years. We can honestly say we did not learn how to properly engage and study the Bible. Is this strange? We think so. But more than not learning how to understand the Word of God caused major problems for us in our lives and marriages, and we looked through nonbiblical filters at the Bible. How is this possible?
Changes in our life created the need for help. We almost lost our marriage. Why wasn't Christianity working for us? What was wrong? Through Dr. Baruch and Rivka Korman, we learned how to study the Bible properly.
Below is a PowerPoint in PDF that you can read the whole story. But we are discussing one of the most neglected aspects of churches which is to show people how to feed themselves with the Bible, and encountering God in a new relationship. He is our Creator. We are made to serve Him. So, why didn't we learn to study His word? Good question.
Join us for a review of the last 6 and half years it took us to learn how to study Exodus.

The urgent knocking on our glass screen door came with a surprise. My neighbor, who walked downcast on the sidewalk occasionally with a colts hat or jersey, was at my door insisting we "talk".
The heat and humidity were oppressive as Florida summers tend to cook. Erv's countenance matched the stickiness and blanket of heat. I asked him if he would like something to drink. Erv had his trademark Mountain Dew and thus said, "no need."
I politely asked how I could help. He said something like this, "All these times you have prayed for me while I walked by, I need to talk to you. I will die from this cancer because there is no cure, and I don't know where I am going when I die?"
We spoke at length. He had gone to church in the past and even been baptized. But here, Erv was someone facing a real giant and unsure of his eternal destiny. Why?
This podcast/video finishes the story. You will be challenged. You may be changed. You may have hope you can share. Pray for Erv. We don't know the ending of the story...YET!

We are offering new glasses for you to put on as a bible study tool for 2021 and beyond. But we must ask ourselves if we should wear glasses when approaching the Bible? The answer is no and yes.
If we study the bible to "get something out of it for ourselves" we are in danger of treating God's Holy Word as a "devotional" and being a consumer. Using it as a devotion is "ok" but we could be missing more. Such as, these words were used to create the universe. Maybe there is more to see than just devotional reading? But we can turn to Him, knowing this Bible is God's revealed Will for us to embrace, it will change us to know we are studying what Our King wants us to obey. Does this make us disciples versus pewsitters? Yes, because Christ said in John 14:14, "If you love Me, you will obey My commandments.
Let that sink in. First, if we love Him we will obey. Second, did He just say He is the author of the commandments given on Mt. Sinai aka God Almighty, the great I AM? We would say, yes. So, Christ gives us a major clue on how we are to respond to Him to show we love Him...by obeying His word. His World, His Word, we are His servants.
"Ok, Ric and Mary, we get obeying God's word is a major theme for Podcast for Pewsitters but what is this restoration thing you are pushing?"
We cover the restoration theme of the Bible from start to finish in one episode which clearly shows that God's Will for us is to fellowship with Him in a garden. The garden is a repeat pattern in the Bible from Eden to Revelation! For 2021 we will be pointing out restoration as it shapes our biblical studies. Will you join us? Grab your beverages!
Join us for exploring some new glasses. Please share! This is how we grow!
Did you know that NOT ONE OF THE PROPHETS SAW COVID? Yep! Should that end our trust in these so-called prophets? You have the same anointing as they do. Don't believe us? Go to 1John 2:26-.
Mary and I were in many Charismatic churches. The more we have learned how to study the bible and respond to God, asking Him to help us change to His will, we are moving away from the teaching of Charismatic churches and researching what we grew up having been taught.
It is a breath of fresh air that Dr. Goepfrich, who was not in Pentecostal or Charismatic churches, has a tough time understanding "our thinking" and this provides us with great fodder for our discussion. He cautions heavily against listening to these prophets. I would not caution: We go further. We would say RUNNNNNN! Read your bible instead.
We say, in "Charismatic circles," that the bible is our foundation. But sadly, this is not true in practice. We tend to look for experiences, trust our experiences, put too much weight in leaders we thought are more "spiritual" than we, and looked for "words from the Lord" through men? Is this the right thing to do? The bible has a lot to say about false prophecies and their effect on God's people. What is the effect, you may ask? That we are led AWAY from seeking the Lord for OURSELVES. That is scary, isn't it? Jeremiah 14 discusses false prophecies, and especially Jeremiah 23, prohibits us from speaking for the Lord. And that makes sense as we are only human, frail and sinful. But can we have confidence in our God that He spoke the Universe into existence, and made each one of us? Is God on the throne of His creation? Of course. Dr. Goepfrich relates with us his views from Scripture.
He said this, and I paraphrase: "I do know this...when we open the Bible and let it speak to us, we are on the safe ground". The Bible is objective truth.
Bible study company will always be in the "Reformed Charismatic" camp. Meaning, that like in the reformation of church history, the Christians went back to the Bible. Seeking revival? It starts in our hearts when we study God's word to live praiseworthy to Him.

Is theology for everyone? Yes!
The answer is yes. If you have been in the charismatic or pentecostal movements as we were, you will notice that the bible is said to be foundational, but it is secondary in practice. What is primary to the bible, you ask? Books from Christian celebrities, going to conferences, emotional revivals, and worse; are prophecies or dreams that predict the future! At some point in our walk with God, we need to become disciples. This means studying the Word of God for ourselves, but we need proper training. Where can we get good training? We were visiting churches. We decided to check out Pastor Herman's church and were stunned by the message. It is biblestudycompany's message of hope that we need God's revelation and His help in walking with Him.
Many of us have a story where the churches we belong to got off track and there were much hurt and disillusionment. Some of us walked away from God. But that is not where our hope should have been...on people.
Could the wounds be healed? Yes, by realizing people are broken pottery, but God wants us to put our whole dependence on Him, not on churches or people.
When churches preach "thou shalt nots", Christ is saying "I am, and I will". Focus on Christ. Depend on Him and ask Him to change us with His power.
Listen to the truth of Jerry Herman's story and how he came from a legalistic church environment. The words were our story as well.
Pastor Herman, realized he was managing his Christian walk with the Lord in his own mind and fleshly decisions. He said, "I looked good on the outside but falling apart on the inside".

Did you know that in Exodus 34: 28 After Moses saw the golden calf and broke the tablets, and begging God to forgive the people, that the Lord called Moses up to the mountain? Notice the word commandments. "28 So he was there with the LORD forty days and forty nights; he did not eat bread or drink water. And he wrote on the tablets the words of the covenant, the Ten Commandments."
If you click on the word commandments, in BSC you will see the word dabbar, which is revelation from the Lord. Thus, we could say; The 10 Revelations". What were they revealing? We discuss this very question in our podcast.
The children of Israel made a golden calf because they decided to put their trust in man and break the first covenant in Exodus 20. Do we? Do we put our entire religious life into a teacher or denomination versus studying for ourselves? Getting revelations from God, in our bible study has changed our life. We had no idea that our Christian walk could be so different.
We could actually say about the 10 commandments; "The 10 wicked revelations of our heart". Yeah, let that sink in. The "thou shalt nots" of Exodus 20 now are more clear to us since they are revelations of how we need to treat God and people.
The Lord Jesus said in John 14:15, "If you love Me you will obey my commandments". It dawned on us ( was this revelation?) that The Lord Jesus Christ was declaring Himself God (the One Who wrote the commandments) and that if we love Him we will obey His word. How? With His Holy Spirit changing power and a submitted heart. Titus 2:11-12
He also gave us the answer to "Love the Lord your God with your whole heart..." Obey His word.
In this podcast, we discuss prayer, the armor of God, and seeking His revelation. We hope you will join us and share!
When Mary and I started to study the Bible, we asked the Lord what theories of creation should we adopt. We only had one version in secular schools, and that was evolution. And there are many versions of evolution as well! But, starting in Genesis 1, God gives us HIS EYEWITNESS testimony of the His narrative of when He created the universe. Eyewitness testimony is missing from secular Science. Thus, the origin of the world, plants and animals, and the universe are just theories and questions in the secular world.
We started with a "but," and we should then follow up with a problem; we want to believe the Bible and what God says, and this starts with the creation account.
I find it interesting that God put this upfront in the Bible. Why? Because what we believe matters in our origins and this belief in our origins affects many things. For example, our worship, sin, eternity, to name a few. Was it 6 literal days or long ages? I was surprised in Christian academia; there are many different theories of "how" God created.
At the end of our discussion, I address my thoughts, and it will ask this question: How big, or small is your God?
We should ask ourselves another question. What is Science? Science is a methodology to discover the truth. Here is an internet definition. "Science is the pursuit and application of knowledge and understanding of the natural and social world following a systematic methodology based on evidence. [The] Scientific methodology includes the following: Objective observation: Measurement and data (possibly although not necessarily using mathematics as a tool)". Based on this definition, isn't it interesting that the theory of evolution is touted as fact? That was a significant discovery for me, but it can only remain a theory because there isn't any "evidence," just interpretation of the data FROM A SCIENTIFIC PARTICULAR WORLDVIEW (which is another way of saying philosophy)!
Belief in God is absent in some worldviews, as well as it should because evidence should matter. But why is being anti-god in Science make you any less of a scientist? It doesn't. Many of the great scientists were Christians with a creation worldview. (Newton, Maury, Bacon) Did that make them less of a scientist? No. But some people in the science world say you cannot be objective if you believe in God. Garbage logic. We could also apply that to those that don't believe in God, right? The goal of Science is to discover the truth, WHEREVER THAT LEADS. But in this case, it matters to us who are bible studiers searching for the correct interpretation of the Bible to get to the revelation of God. We need to know if God did this in 6 literal days. Does our "faith" depend on whether we take God at His testimony? Or does it? It mattered to Abraham. He journeyed to a foreign land based on God's word to him. This action (faith in God's word) led to an entire nation and eventually, our faith in Christ. Our origins and how we perceive them matter. Listen to the podcast prayerfully. Six literal days matters!
Ric Joyner gives his thoughts before and after this fun talk. Will you join us and share? Please comment.
Grab a beverage (this is not to insinuate alcohol) and now read Deuteronomy 28, the full chapter. I will wait. (tapping fingers but not impatiently. Your eyes will light up)
Notice the first two verses. Read them again.
1 "Now it shall be, if you diligently obey the LORD your God, being careful to do all His commandments which I command you today, the LORD, your God, will set you high above all the nations of the earth. 2 "All these blessings will come upon you and overtake you if you obey the LORD your God: Now continue to read to vs. 15.
Let's do some observations:
Notice the conditions? Diligently obey, and careful to do… "all His commandments…" (the Word of God) THEN you are blessed.
Blessed are you in most areas of your life where you have influence. Can you do God's Will at work, at home, in your personal life? We are called to do just that. We live so short lives here on earth and then are headed to eternity. Does it matter how we live our lives on the earth? Youbetcha! As we say in Wisconsin. We only get one shot at this life. How will we respond to God? I want? Or what He wants?
Lest people think this is legalism to obey the Bible (His Word), let us remember the words of Christ to His disciples. "If you love me, you will obey my commandments." Let this sink in: IF YOU LOVE ME. YOU WILL OBEY. HMMM. That is a game-changer. "Hey BSC, my church says I am no longer under the law?". How will you know what sin is if you don't know the bible and what the law has to say? How will you know you are offending God? Did you know the law shows us our sin? And it shows us God's righteous character? How will you get to know God personally if you don't know His character? He sent the Holy Spirit to help us. see 1John 2:26-
Did you know you cannot keep the law? No one could. But He can help us if we ask. Yeah, let that sink in. Why? Because Grace is the power to change to God's will, in our opinion. Besides, think about this: John 14:15 is one of the verses that show us He is telling His disciples that HE IS GOD (they are His commandments because He wrote them!) And without the Holy Spirit's help, we cannot obey.
Now have fun and go read Titus 2:11-12 because this is the definition of grace. Waiting. Grace is Christ coming to save us and then empowering (blessing us) to be taught AWAY from ungodliness. What is ungodliness? What is evil? Evil is anything outside of God's will. Now ask yourself questions about how the Lord may see your life? Ask Him for revelation. This is bible study.
Back to Deut 28. The first 15 verses discuss the blessings. I showed this to my daughter, and she looked at me and said, "Dad, the Lord is doing the work!" I said, "I knowwwwww! And I don't think we were designed by Him to live in this world without His help. Do we want to live our lives in our own strength? And that is what much of Christianity is today. Managing our walk with God through our minds and what we think we need to love God. That is not how the Bible says we are to walk. We are to take His word and apply it to our life IN HIS POWER and BY HIS SPIRIT.
But please read the curses now, which is the next part of this chapter. He wants us to be fruitful, and the curses section is about people who reject His commandments (His Word), to do their will, and are now on their own. Curses should bring us to the fear of the Lord. As we read the curses how should we respond? How can we ask God to help us to obey? Did you notice that perhaps there was some pushback in your heart to obey His word? That is the war that goes on that Paul spoke of in Romans 7. Go read that too. How can you ask Him to help you? Hint. Read Romans 12. Who was this written to? And why?
We can conclude that for us to be blessed, God's purpose is for us to carry out His will which is revealed in His Word. So, it is about Him and His Will. Not about you or what ministry you will have. Just serve Him right where you are. How should we respond to God to live a praiseworthy life? Perhaps we can drop to our knees and ask for His help to obey His will, and His word BEFORE WE ASK FOR HIS HELP FOR OUR NEEDS.
To finish our bible study today, here are new testament promises about the blessing from God, which is Matthew 6: "Look at the birds of the air, that they do not sow, nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not worth much more than they? 27 "And who of you by being worried can add a single hour to his life? 28 "And why are you worried about clothing? Observe how the lilies of the field grow; they do not toil nor do they spin 29 yet I say to you that not even Solomon in all his glory clothed himself like one of these. 30 "But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which is alive today and tomorrow is thrown into the furnace, will He not much more clothe you? You of little faith! 31 "Do not worry then, saying, 'What will we eat?' or 'What will we drink?' or 'What will we wear for clothing?' 32 "For the Gentiles eagerly seek all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. 33 "But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. 34 "So do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
Notice vs 33. Yep. Seek first the Kingdom of God. Have you lost your first love? The one in revelations? What if it isn't emotionalism but actually that we stop putting the Lord Jesus Christ first in every area of our life? Can we repent and ask for His rulership in all areas of our life?
If you are like us and struggled to know how to study the bible to live a praiseworthy life to God, our blog has many resources and tools. Your life will never be the same. https://biblestudycompany.com/blog

We ask this question: What is the cure? We need a new perspective. Get into the word ourselves. But how? By being careful with God’s word to know it. By choosing to do so we are honoring God. DO NOT DEPEND ON PEOPLE.
We contrast Adam and Eve's decision not to believe God's word and they chose to disobey and the golden calf. Rebellion or I WANT is at the heart of deception.
Can you be deceived?
Yes. But how?
Don’t give people authority over you. Books pastors etc.
Where are your I wants? Are they aligned with God's will? And what is the "crowd" you are running in or with doing? Be cautious to not go with the flow.
So what is the cure for deception?
Matthew 6:12-13 Ask God to go into your heart and reveal your motives and sin. 12 'And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. 13 And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.’
Eph 4 "as a result, we are no longer to be children, tossed here and there by waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, by craftiness in deceitful scheming;"

Please note that there are two parts to this one! This is part A.
•We have completed two podcasts so far on Exodus 32. Can you be deceived is part P1 from Exodus 32 and lessons from the golden calf. P2 was Real or Fake Prophecy, Which is It?
•We are adding a 3rd. P3 is The Cure for Deception
•A problem is we don't believe we can be deceived. Would our favorite teacher deceive us? In rare circumstances. But what if they themselves are deceived? How would we know?
•What is the "Sunday School Myth"?
• Please understand that we can be deceived. Because of this principle: I want… It is either "I want" or God's will. Christ came to do the "will of my Father". Will we?
•What is the cure for deception? A new perspective. Get into the Word of God ourselves TO BE PLEASING TO GOD. Be careful with God's word. DO NOT DEPEND ON PEOPLE.
•We want to answer several questions today
•1. How can we put all the tools together so we can practice not being deceived? We could list all the scripture where there is a possibility
•2. What if you hear a teaching, and it sounds good? It feels good? We may even say, "I know in my spirit it is right" teaching. Is this an objective truth? No. What would be your objective way to analyze it? That's what we are discussing.
•3. Can you be willing NOT to believe what you have been taught for years and go on a search for God's perspective?
•4. 1John 2:26 Says the Holy Spirit anoints us because of what Christ has done to save us. He will teach you.
So here are some "I wants" to keep in mind.
Does it feed our flesh? Do I want to attend a church that is "hip" and cool"?
Does it feed our soul (emotions)? Do I want to feel good when I leave a church or hear teaching?
Does it take our eyes off of Christ? Do I want to go my own way?
Does it make us compare ourselves to others? Do I want what they have?
Does it take our eyes off the Word of God? I want others to study for me.
Does it put us "under" the authority of men? I want others to tell me what to do because it is easier than submitting to Christ?
Join us for this podcast and video to submit our hearts to our God and King, the Lord Jesus Christ. We welcome your feedback.
So what about today? Let's start by asking some questions. The first question we will ask is who and what are we giving our time and listening to? Are you listening to false prophecy? For example, Graham Cooke and Russ Walden start their prophecies with "The Father says", and then include way too many nonsensical adjectives to have any meaning or relevance beyond a guess application to our life, aka these prophecies are similar to horoscopes. Yep, I said it=horoscopes. Seriously, we need to ask ourselves why these people all sound the same, even using the same adjectives? Notice how they are adjectives strung together with no real meaning, and anyone reading the "false prophecy" can fit the profile. Here is an example from Graham Cooke's Lattitude and Indulgence:
"Latitude is the Lord releasing to you a new liberty. For you to explore and extend a new found freedom to be with the Father. The Holy Spirit is going to work with you to develop an ability and an authority that is authentic in your life; for you to come into a new place, a whole new dimension of spirituality and to enable others to press in to that same place. The Lord says to you, there is a fresh season of favor upon each one of you, to go into a deeper place in the Lord." Notice the use of adjectives that literally do not say anything descriptive. Prophetic utterances like this are nowhere in the Bible.
Sad really. But let us ask the question; who is Graham Cooke, Sean Bolz, Kris Vallotton, and Russ Walden that they can speak for God? Yes, speak for the Maker of Heaven and Earth, The One Who Made us, the One Who redeemed us, and the One who desires we submit to His word. The One Who says about Himself, Jer 23:23 "Am I a God who is near," declares the LORD, "And not a God far off?"
Is He so far off that we need to go to a man to get a "word from the Lord?" If this is the case, that He is near to each of us, why would we listen to someone speaking for God when we have the entire Bible OF GOD SPEAKING TO US, and I can pray DIRECTLY TO HIM. Or is it that we don't want to hear from God directly in His Word because it will reveal our sin? BAM. Yeah, let that sink in. These "feel-good word salads" do the opposite by TAKING US AWAY FROM GOD.
Here is what real prophets do the Lord says: Jer 23:22 But if they had stood in My council, Then they would have announced My words to My people, And would have turned them back from their evil way, And from the evil of their deeds.
We should ask ourselves: Is this idolatry? I will submit to you that seeking words from people, other than the Lord, is a form of evil because it is opposed to God's will. Please pray that you are not under a delusion because 2 Thes 2:11 says, "And for this reason, God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie." WOW. That should cause us serious pause. And a turn to the Lord to ask the question, am I deceived? If you are too far in, you will dismiss this blog and video without asking the question. If we are disciples, we will ask.
Jesus said, "do not call anyone Father, or Rabbi but brother." Again, why would we think this person is hearing from God FOR YOU? Why would we put faith into these words, "The Father says,"? Could our pursuit of these so-called prophets of nonsense adjectives be our idolatry? Do we put the same weight of these false words as God's words? Yes, people do! I did when I was younger and saw the damage done to many people by following the imaginations of men or women. And money is involved, which another aspect of Exodus 32.
Let us ask further questions. What about the groups like Bethel that pursue a false form of the gospel called "signs and wonders"? Their focus seems to be on training people to do signs and wonders versus training them to know and understand the Bible. God's word created the universe and thus will change us as well.
Did you know that signs and wonders Christ did were to establish to Jewish people that HE WAS THE CREATOR GOD AND THAT HIS KINGDOM WAS AT HAND? These signs verified WHO HE WAS TO THEM. Bill Johnson will lower Christ to just a spirit-filled man so that you and I have the same power as Christ! Notice the children of Israel lowered God to a golden calf! This is a horrible doctrine!
Our God is the Creator of the Universe. We must treat Him as such. Our face should be on the ground before the cross by placing our sin on Him for taking our punishment. WE SHOULD HAVE THE RIGHT FEAR OF HIM TO OFFEND HIM. We can then focus on Christ and becoming disciples. Studying God's word means we have a new focus: to live praiseworthy to Him (fleeing sinful lifestyles).
Let's not conform to these words of men. But submit to Christ by the renewing of our minds.
Rom 12:2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
Can you be deceived is our original question. Let us also state this principle: Any information we take in and are not critical of it, but accepting, we will indoctrinate ourselves is phase 1 of the enemy's plan to deceive us. Next, which is Phase 2, we will perpetuate the same indoctrination by encouraging and sharing others to be a part of these false words and false teachers. Phase 3 is when you are solid in the indoctrination, that you vehemently disagree with people who share contrary information WITHOUT DOING THE HOMEWORK TO CHECK OUT WHAT THEY ARE SAYING.
Brothers and sisters, please read Exodus 32, Jeremiah 14, and 23 and see how closely these false prophets fit the profile of false. Our hope is we will turn to the objective truth of God's word WHO IS SPEAKING TO US DIRECTLY in the Bible with no need for a man to teach us. 1 John 2:26! We say this so you will not be deceived! Why? We were once deceived by being too trusting. No one speaks for God, But GOD!
Our podcast goes into detail about some of the problems we see in the church today. We show how focusing on Moses (people or pastors or celebrities) will fail us. What if God doesn't deliver our wants the way we want them in the timing we desire? Is God a giant vending machine to serve us? People push the love of God. What does that even mean? What if God is all about His plans and purposes, and it is our "job" to line up with those plans and intentions called His will? It is your work to believe in Jesus Christ and place your sin on Him to rescue you from this world that is in the process of dying. But you are to serve Him, and not the other way around.
What if we were created to serve God, and then to do His will, but we got lost in the fog and noise of the culture around us and lost our way to Him? What if we come back to Him with this: "Lord, I "got" nothing. I need You and am willing to submit to Your Word, with no expectations of anything. I am sorry for worshipping false gods of people, expectations, and lustful desires. Will You change me with Your Power?" If we take that stance and open His word to obey Him, our lives will dramatically change. The power of God to change will come upon us. "Hey Ric, got some scripture to back that up?" Sure do. Go to Deut 28 whole chapter. Pay attention to verse 1. Notice what follows. Then read Ex 32. Join us for the exploration of Exodus 32. Can you be deceived? Yes, you can!

In this podcast, we discuss enslavement to the world. The children of Israel, in Exodus 7, are an excellent example of how we can slowly become a slave to a system. They lived a comfortable life under the leadership of Joseph, while in the country of Egypt. I am sure they wove a bit of the Egyptian culture into the fabric of their teachings from Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Maybe they threw in an idol or two, it wouldn't hurt to compromise a bit if it made for a more comfortable life! In a four-hundred-year span, after Joseph's death, they found themselves in complete slavery to the Egyptians.
This story is just as prevalent today among our Christian brothers and sisters. Do we know God's word and walk it out in our lives? How many compromises do we make, all in the name of a better life in Egypt (or the world?) Let's be inclusive and accepting of everything, aka allow sin in our lives, at the expense of the true Word of God.
Do we recognize false prophets? Can we decipher between half-truths and the whole truth? God has given his Word and Spirit to guide and teach us. 1 John 2:26-end of the chapter. Besides, we're given the power to walk out his purposes.
Will you follow God's perspective of me or their latest or newest trend? Trends don't last. Just look at your bookshelf. But the word of God is dusty. Perhaps a change of view is needed? We could ask the Lord to give us His perspective from scripture versus some commentator. Your life will dramatically change. Ours did. We don't look back.

Moses not only had the King of Egypt angry with him but also the very people he was trying to help. Moses complained to the Lord about his unskilled speech. For our lives and walk with the Lord, we are going to make mistakes. But Who are we serving? If we obey God's will, He takes care of His agenda. Comforting isn't it? Moses expressed to God, that God indeed made a mistake in choosing him to help in God's redemptive plan. Moses was expecting instant results. And we live in a society that demands fast. Do we want fast or God's will? How will we look at our lives to see where we stand? Moses was honest with God and also discouraged even to the point of accusing God of being wrong! In our lives, we have those times.
Does this sound familiar? How many times do we get angry and frustrated because God's timing doesn’t line up with ours? Do you ever have the perspective that if you are obedient to God’s word, your life will be fine? We all experience times in our life where we question God and his purposes. Moses was at that place, but he returned to the Lord and poured out his heart. Returning to God and asking for his help are always the answer. Pharaoh, on the other hand, is a perfect example of pure rebellion. He refused to know Who God was or listen to His Word from Moses. Pharaoh’s heart was all about power, control, and feeding his flesh. With each refusal to honor God’s command, his heart grew harder. What an example of pure evil.
We can be both of these people at different times in our lives. If we choose to return to God and ask for his kingdom view, he will help us see it and give us the power to walk it out. If we choose to turn from God and his way in favor of the world and our own view, it will eventually end in destruction. We know the end of the story with Pharaoh and it’s not good.
During these times we want to question God. But He wants us to come to Him even more and layout our hurt, heartache, disappointment, and frustration. And today is a good day with the events in our nation to do this very thing. Grab Psalm 36 and read it back to the Lord. It will comfort you. Join us for this sobering podcast and join us in asking these questions. Are we going to ask God questions or question, God?

We are taking a fresh look at the Sabbath or Shabbat. Podcast for Pewsitters and Biblestudycompany.com are giving a shout out to the TV series, The Chosen, by Dallas Jenkins. In the series, Dallas portrayed a Shabbat dinner in several instances. One was a woman of an ancient tent-dwelling group of people preparing for a Shabbat meal, which was touching. A boy was asking his mother, the purpose of Shabbat. She explains the fellowship aspect and the advantage of gathering family and friends. As a husband and father, I personally love the "call to Shabbat" by honoring the wife by declaring: "A woman of valor, who can find? Far beyond pearls is her value. Her husband's heart trusts in her, and he shall lack no fortune". (Proverbs 31) WOW!
Let's shift back to bible study of the Shabbat. Is the Shabbat just an old testament custom or "law" that is only for the Jewish people? Or are Christians to avoid old testament laws and traditions because we are under a "new covenant" and are not under old testament law? Or, as Christians, do we have a wrong view of the "law" and the Bible altogether? What if we took a new perspective that the "whole counsel of God " (Acts 20:27)----the whole Bible is to teach us about the plans and purposes of God? What if the Shabbat has lessons to teach us about the character of God and even our lack of dependence on God? Read Isaiah 58:13-14. Is it possible to put aside your will for one day? We need God's power in our life. Fortunately, His grace comes to us when we submit to His word.
Shall we honor the Shabbat? You decide as you listen to the podcast.
The feasts and traditions of the Bible teach us important truths about God, and point to Christ.
Let's join Ric and Mary Joyner in the podcast "Rethinking the Sabbath."
In Exodus 5, Moses lays out a complaint to God because Moses felt that no one was listening to Him EVEN though God instructed him to speak a certain way. As Dr. Baruch of Loveisrael.org points out, the unskilled speech Moses mentions is his realization of the Holiness of God and how sinful he is in comparison to the GOD OF THE UNIVERSE. But this knowledge also reveals how helpless Moses is in the face of impossible odds to carry out God's will in Egypt. In effect, Moses's complaint was showing that even though he did what God said to do, it wasn't working out as Moses and God intended. So Moses thought. Pharaoh's response was exactly as God intended. Hardening of the heart of Pharaoh is stiffening to the voice of God and staying in rebellion.
We can act like this in the face of understanding God's word and the call to change. If you haven't turned toward Christ for salvation, do so today! Pray and ask Him to forgive your sin and get in line with His will.
What happens next? Exodus 6 happens. God shows up with His perspective and prophetic plan. Dr. Baruch shares that the future is a done deal in this scripture, and God is going to move and give powerful promises to Moses and REDEEM HIS PEOPLE, even though they acted wickedly. He hears their cries. He hears ours as well. During this time of COVID, call out to Him today.
We need God's perspective. But do we study the bible to gain that perspective? Are we willing to change in the face of finding His plans and purposes? This is a crucial question to ask ourselves because it means the difference of one who believes in God...as a head knowledge... or one who desires to be a disciple of Christ...acting on His perspective and word. Who will we be? Join our podcast and video.

Dr. Baruch Korman of Loveisrael.org is covering this important topic. The video is somewhat confusing because Baruch covers many topics within the Old Testament and the New Testament. It is truly a bible study that is worth your attention.
Hang in there as "they" say to discover truth and grasp the mystery of the 144,000 and why it matters to us today.
Dr. Baruch Korman of Loveisrael.org explains the timeline for biblical prophecy, and the end times sequence of events. You will not want to miss this detailed and succinct talk.
For example, he discusses many questions people are asking.
Has the end time started?
Some answers will give you comfort, and some will clarify. We look forward to the return of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Many people are hurting from the loss of jobs and lost family members to this virus, and thus we are sad. Not to mention the stress from being quarantined.
Remember by His stripes, you are healed from sin, and now have everlasting life if you place your trust in Christ’s death and resurrection.
Enjoy the video/podcast from Dr. Baruch and Rivka Korman and consider supporting this biblical teaching, which is going around the world. Please share and comment.
We want to find God's perspective in Scripture. This is His house and His rules.
Have you ever been in a situation we don't have control over and feel trapped? God wants us to trust Him for redemption by obeying His Words. He may not get us out right away but the journey will be hard and amazing. We will grow in our faith to obey His word.
In this chapter Moses and Aaron are in Egypt and they are speaking to the oppressed Hebrews that are in real trouble and suffering. With Covid 19 we can almost put ourselves there!
God is coming to the rescue in Exodus 5. This is a pattern in the gospels. They were in bondage to the world system in Egypt and when Jesus was on the scene and Christ said: “Most assuredly, I say to you, whoever commits sins is a slave of sin” John 8:34 So there is a spiritual side to bondage and Egypt is a typology of the world. Sin and obeying are themes in Exodus 5. Who will obey and who will not? But then who is affected by our obedience? We want God in our lives but are we ready to have our commitment to Him challenged? Let's take this lesson of worshiping Him during hard times and ask God for help during trials.
“If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples, and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” John 8:31a-32
And we will be free indeed regardless of our circumstances. Join Ric and Mary Joyner for this interesting and fun show.
Dallas Jenkins, the Creator of The Chosen TV Series, joins Ric and Mary Joyner in "Podcast for Pewsitters" to discuss the show.
We love the introduction. It is a description of repentance!
The music is outstanding!
What brought the TV series to life for Mary and me is the "backstory" of the characters. Scripture is a type of narrative. But to round out the story, we need to "immerse" ourselves in the lives of the characters. Bringing to life the characters is what The Chosen TV series does. Bible Study Company uses this principle of "fleshing" out the characters. Next, we are attempting to see the situation from many points of view with our Creator's as the primary focus of our attention. What is His will, and how do we please Him is our constant question?
A particular joy is to watch the characters giving up their "lives" to follow Christ and how that impacted their families. Christ chose His disciples in the beginning of His Journey of obedience to the Father. Onward to the cross, He went for our salvation. The disciples did not know what lay around each corner. So as you watch The Chosen..."Get ready for different!".
Dallas shares about the many difficulties The Chosen experienced to complete the first season, and God met each one. When Dallas shares with us the experiences in his enthusiastic style, we are on the journey with him. Join us!
Mary and I are both so excited to watch this series continue. We highly recommend it to all of you. We are also so grateful to Dallas Jenkins for honoring Bible Study Company and coming on the Podcast!

Once we begin to obey God, He begins to move in our lives and hearts. In the last podcast we talked about the 7 things that will change in our life. We finished the first 3 points. Here are the next 4.
Exodus 4 Part 3 In Exodus 4 Part 3 we will deal with the other 4 items.
In our next podcast in Exodus 5, we see that people oppose the will of God and that we are to expect this opposition. Join Ric and Mary Joyner for this fun and interesting Scripture.
In our previous podcast, we discussed God becoming angry at Moses's unbelief. If we want to make God angry, that is the place to start---unbelief. Denying His existence in this beautifully ordered world is foolish. But once we have asked Christ into our lives, we are going to be confronted with obedience to God's word. We were not prepared for the impact of correctly studying God's word had on our life when we first started. But this lack of understanding makes sense because Moses struggled in the beginning, and so did the disciples. Can we expect anything different? NO!
We understand from Judaism that our life, which is given to us, is for the express purpose of worshiping and serving God. But as our Creator, He gives us free will and then invites us to go into service to Him willingly. Rarely do people accept this call. Moses almost didn't. Will we? In these passages, our entire life is being affected by our decision to take this call from God. Sometimes we "compartmentalize" our walk with the Lord into separate focuses. We must not.
So, what are the six things that happened to Moses after he decided to start walking with the Lord?
Join us next week for the other 4 changes! Don't forget to share with friends! It helps us grow.

Worship with us in Psalms 1-4. We are reading the scripture back to the Lord and making it our own.
What is your concept of worship? Going to church and listening to "nice" songs that you can sing to the Lord? The majority of the Psalms were written by David to worship the Lord. Why? Because the current king, Saul, spent many years trying to kill David! I could imagine David thinking: "Lord, You chose me to be king, but people are chasing me to kill me...this makes no sense?" Going through these trials caused David to learn dependence on the Lord. Will we in our testing? How do we worship in trials when everything in our being is screaming: "WHY DID YOU DO THIS TO ME, LORD?!" At this very moment in our emotional turmoil, this is where we can grab Psalms and read them back to the Lord. Psalms are about worshiping THE ONE IN CONTROL when we lose control.
Trials and tough times require us to dig down...like a well...and learn to tell God everything. He already knows, but He wants to be with us through hard times because if we learn to worship and respond correctly, we will grow in Him. It is a challenge few people will undertake.
The Children of Israel in the Exodus continually complained when faced with trials. In Heb 3:10 this scripture shows how angry the Lord was with their attitude. He was trying to bring them to the promised land. When confronted by real fear for our desperate needs, how will we respond? Worship using Psalms! Please share so that we can grow.

Mark and Lorri Lorentz join Ric and Mary Joyner for a discussion on studying the bible and why churches typically do not teach people to study the bible. Our conversation then leads us to why the church may be "getting off the rails" and why pewsitters may be ill-equipped for the great apostasy (falling away) that is upon us.
We then do a short bible study applying the principles we learned from the last podcast.

We are in our study of Exodus. This is a picture of our Christian life. You can take Exodus themes and trace them into the Gospels. Exodus is a book of redemption. And so are the gospels. Mary and I realized as we got to Exodus 4, that this is where we started to learn to study with Dr. Baruch. What are the steps? We prefer not to use formalized steps because too much of Christian teaching is based on "the 10 easy steps" of this or that. We can safely say that God isn't a "step". He is our Maker, Creator of the Universe and expects us to walk before Him with a commitment to His word and working with Him on our sin (Titus 2:11-12). He paid a horrible price to redeem us from our sin and our eternal death and we want to give back to Him our love and stop our former evil life. "If you love me you will obey My commandments". John 14:15. If we love Him we will obey. What do we do? Start to study the bible. John 1 says, The Word was made flesh! We can be disciples if we follow Christ. We can then make the case that studying the bible is following Christ.
Our podcast is about the "steps" or actions we take in our study. A synopsis is; we study before referring to any commentary. Then we check with Dr. Baruch in biblestudycompany.com videos and compare our "try" with his knowledge. We then make adjustments in our study and growth. Rinse and repeat. Join Ric and Mary Joyner of Podcast for Pewsitters to find out the steps of how we study with Dr. Baruch. Please share.

In Exodus 4 PT 2, God is on the move to fulfill His plans and purposes. Moses is in dialogue with the Lord, which is prayer. Moses is in the process of rejecting God's word, and the Lord gets angry. Why? This is because of unbelief. Not trusting all of our future outcomes on God Almighty. Unbelief is the opposite of faith, which is obedience to God's word. Unbelief is rejecting God's words, and thus the great things He has for our lives. "Wait," you say: "Podcast for Pewsitters, Moses was being asked to take on the most powerful person and nation on the planet." Yep, this is the same as Christ asking us to take up our cross daily (well sort of but not as dramatic) and put our will and desires aside. Can we? No. Not unless we get help from God, Who, by the way, is the Creator of the Universe (let that sink in). So will we ask Him for His power? Will we respond? If we are being honest with God, we could pray, "Lord, I am so scared, and I think I will fail you." We believe God loves those kinds of sincere dialogue. We even had one ourselves. "Lord, I can't follow you...I tried and failed..." Good, that you failed in your own strength. Now try using His power! Grace is the saving power of Christ, and the Holy Spirit will teach us away from everything ungodly. Titus 2:11-12 When we are moving away from ungodliness and being obedient to God's word we are in grace. What is our willingness to obey God, and be in honest prayer? If Moses struggled with obedience, you will too. Be encouraged. He will help us!

Are we experiencing revelation in your bible study? Several questions we must ask ourselves.
Are you an honest person?
If you are not in God's word, you can trick yourself into believing what you are doing or changing in your life is according to what God wants, but maybe our motives and maybe what WE desire vs. what God desires. Is this the way God wants us to approach the Bible? No.
We will see several progressions of Moses that we can apply to our life:
Prayer progression. Moses is growing in his relationship with God in communication
Thus, honesty to God, to ourselves and others, is paramount in our life. Psalm 32 discusses deceit in the context of sin. Blessed are those whose sin is covered!
We are made in the image of God. We reflect His righteousness out to the world. But where do we get His righteousness? From Him, and the Bible. How do we line up with the plans and purposes of God?
Do you ask questions of God from the Bible, or do you question God? Big difference.
When we line up with God's plans and purposes such as Moses in Exodus 4, we will have revelation from God. So how soon do you want to do this, and what will it cost you?
We are: An online study Bible with a social media community

When we love someone, we spend time with them. Our Bible helps us get to know God by asking Him to reveal His purposes to us. God's Word is what created us and sustains us. In Exodus 3 Part 4, Moses is confronted by God to carry out His will, to free the people enslaved in Egypt. God is literally revealing himself to Moses through a "image of a man" in a burning bush. This is the same for us today. We are to be in the image of God, reflecting his Character. How do we do this? First serve the Lord, make him our priority, study His word with the depth and reverence it deserves. Then when he says go, GO!
Christ came to earth for us, so we could physically see how God would act in a human body. Do we understand this truth? Are we willing to now turn our hearts and lives over to him at the foot of the cross? Are we willing to approach the Word of God in a way that would deepen our relationship with our Creator? We must know that the Word of God is our lifeline to our Christian walk here on earth. Our born-again experience doesn't end with giving our hearts to Christ and repenting. It is just the beginning of an awakened Spirit that can now experience revelation and understanding where we couldn't before. It is the very thing that changes us from the inside out. Our eyes are then open to the reality that redemption is possible through our Savior Christ and our desire to Obey and Serve him comes from pure gratitude and LOVE!

Most scholars believe the tabernacle in the wilderness is a pattern of worship. Mary and Ric take their husband and wife bible study of Exodus and discuss how the tabernacle in the wilderness is a pattern to be in God's house. All of us should long to be wherever God resides. Numbers 12 shows us that God spoke to Moses face to face. And Moses was part of God's household. WOW. Moses was obedient to God's word. He demonstrated faith by acting on it. We can study to obey God's word. We have the whole bible. Moses just began to start to write it! Now let us be a part of God's household...by being one who obeys.
The tabernacle gives us a pattern of God's plan to become close to Him. We cannot worship any way we wish and hope to be part of God's household. We must always be willing to deal with our sin. How do we know we sin? God wants to reveal our hearts to us through the application of God's word.
God was so serious about dwelling with the children of Israel; He had two lambs slain each day so that in the morning and evening, we could put our sin on the lamb, knowing God was covering us with the "blood of the lamb" for the day. So we begin our worship by accepting the sacrifice of the lamb and repenting of our sin.
In the video portion of this Podcast, Ric diagrams the tabernacle and shows it is laid out like a house. God's house and His rules. But our sin must be dealt with IN OUR HEARTS and with HIS HELP. The pattern in the tabernacle shows us instructions on how to worship God if we ask God for His assistance to understand.
We then turn the chapter to Exodus 31, and God is speaking to Moses to select a man who is the son of... and the grandson of...In these names of men, we think the Holy Spirit is showing us the character of the man who would build the tabernacle by being filled with the Holy Spirit. We are filled the same way TO CARRY OUT GOD's will and Kingdom. Bezalel's name showed he wanted to be in the shadow of God. Do we?

Why? The 40 years Moses was in the wilderness was a preparation time, as much for Moses, as for the Hebrews. God wants to prepare us for service in His Kingdom. This "wilderness experience" of depending on God is especially true in the times we are currently living. Will we submit to His word before circumstances get beyond our control? Shall we turn to God now for help knowing His word, so we become prepared for the times ahead? We can obey the Scripture by putting our hearts up against the Word of God, as Moses is now doing in Exodus 3 Part 3. Moses' choices changed him, and our choices to be in God's will change us as well. Can we see that obedience to God's revelation in His Word will give us power? Why? We are operating for His purposes and glory...not our own.
Here is a crucial bible study principle. We are not Moses. Thus we cannot live the way Moses lived. But is this a correct point of view? No. The Holy Spirit is using the story of Moses to show us that we each have choices as Moses did. Moses's hard-earned lessons are ours if we receive them into our lives by asking the constant questions: "Lord, open my eyes, I want to obey you. How can I respond to You correctly?" The Lord will answer this prayer. When we approach Scripture, we can have this attitude.
The revelation of the Lord will change our life like it did Moses. We can learn Moses' lessons. The goal of the Holy Spirit is for us to line up with God's plans and revelation. But be prepared, it means we will be changed! You will go on a journey with God.
Let's join Ric and Mary Joyner of Bible Study Company for Podcast for Pewsitters: In whose shoes are we walking? God's or ours?
After 40 years in Egypt and 40 years in the wilderness, Moses encounters the Living God Who is moving to SAVE His people out of Egypt. Egypt represents the world system of sin and being enslaved by sin. The Pharaoh is the evil ruler and is representative of Satan. But sin is what separates us from God. Our discussion asks questions of the Lord, such as why the Hebrews ended up enslaved in Egypt and you will be surprised by the parallels of our own lives? Hint: Idolatry. God is listening to our cries for His salvation from our bondage from our sin. He wants to rescue us to Himself.
We have restarted our bible study of Exodus. We will focus on finding the ways of the Lord and how to respond to Him. (Hebrews 3:10)

This podcast for pewsitter is on how to become a disciple. In this talk, biblestudycompany asked Dr. Baruch to discuss what it means to be a disciple. He covers 2 Timothy 2:1-10. But first, he discusses Moses.
Humility is a crucial component. Our understanding of humility is flawed. It is not an outward emotion or demeanor but a choice. Yes, a choice. According to Numbers 12:3, Moses was the most humble man on earth. How do we know humility has nothing to do with a demeanor? Because the Lord says: 7 "Not so, with My servant Moses, He is faithful in all My household; 8 With him I speak mouth to mouth, Even openly, and not in dark sayings, And he beholds the form of the LORD. " Please note that this confirms Gen 12:4 that Abraham was full of faith because He heard from the Lord and obeyed God's word. Moses, too, was humble because following the word of God is going to be hard on us. And that is why it is a choice. Obeying God can be so hard we may not be able to accomplish obedience without His help changing us! Our thoughts are that Moses was indeed humble and a strong leader. Inward strength is required to obey God's word. Will we make a choice to follow God's word with His help? So God is faithful to His word meaning that He keeps His promises. We are to be faithful to act on His word as well.
Dr. Baruch carries this concept into the New Testament in 2 Timothy 2:1-10

Dr. Baruch gives us the next events in God's prophetic timetable. It is as if you are sitting in front of Dr. Baruch, who is creating a dinner full of events that we can see unfolding. We are indeed in a startling time of history. Prophecy is unfolding before our eyes in rapid acceleration. For example, some of the questions Dr. Baruch answers are: When will the tribulation start? Watch Iran. What is the next prophetic escalation? The religion of the Anti-Christ will be tolerance, except for Jews and Christians. Why is global climate change a huge deal? Are there ways for us to be a Kingdom person? Why is there such a focus away from God's word in the church and to signs and wonders? Does the prayer of people in church seem to be for emotional revivals that focus on experiences rather than discipleship? The Lord always calls us to submit our lives to Him and His word. By asking for Christ's help to change us to line up with His will, the greatest miracle of all happens. A person's heart is changed; they are born again; they can understand God's ways and will bear fruit according to Christ and the Kingdom of God.

Mary and I were in a bible study we had today for a group. We discussed the role of the bible in our lives. We discussed every pewsitters "role" in going to church. We dutifully go to church but are listening to what pastors teach about the bible but rarely engage Scripture ourselves. The group nodded in agreement. We also explained that the bible is 66 books with 37 authors! But the exciting theme in Scripture is that God, Who could speak the universe into existence, is impacting the lives of people. The people who put their trust in God as a result of obedience to His word fared well under His Lordship, rather than following their heart's desires. He is moving in our lives as well. We either see Him or not. "What did you just say, Ric?" Yes, we can miss Him as He is moving through history. We are blinded by our own minds to His ways. And if we are lucky enough, we may come in contact with Christ, and we are born again. Our eyes are changed. What now? How do we move forward? We go to church. We are told what to do and what to know and even what to think. But is this the model of discipleship that Christ had with His disciples? No. Why? Because in a relationship we are not called to be passive but active. Take your own relationships. What if you treated your relationships with passivity? Engage God. There were people in Scripture that were in a relationship with Christ as He moved through their lives and onto a goal of doing the Father's Will. What is God's will for you? To be in submission to His will and thus His word. But you have to be a disciple first. As a person in the pew, how do we go about being a disciple? Take a course? Better yet, how can I study like Dr. Baruch? Change your thinking and start a relationship with the God of the bible by engaging His word. In this podcast or video, Dr. Baruch shares how we can begin to study like a disciple. If we are serious about Scripture, He may open up the word to us. (Prov 1-2) We may get to see into the Living God's heart! We can get to know Him and His ways. David did. David learned through the trials of life and the word of God, to do His will. Will you? Pick up the word to obey God in a relationship with Him today. Don't think you can? Ask Him to change you. He will. And don't let HIM GO like Jacob refused to do. You, like Jacob, will never walk the same again. Join us as we listen to Dr. Baruch expounds the scriptures to inspire us to be doers of the word.

Why study the Bible? What is the purpose? Are you a disciple of Christ? Disciples obey the teacher. Our Teacher is the Lord Jesus Christ. From Romans 9:1-16 Part 1, Dr. Baruch Korman shares at the First Annual User Conference why, we as Pewsitters, need to study God's word. But how?
One of the first signs of someone's experience of being born again INTO GOD'S Kingdom is a hunger for God's word. But what about us who have been "sitting in pews" for many years? The main reason for us to dig in as pewsitters is to get to KNOW God. We can ask Him to be Lord of our life but what does that mean? Who is this God I cannot see? But I can hear from Him through His Word. Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God. Dr. Baruch Korman of Loveisrael.org helps us to get a foundation of FAITH in the why, how, of biblical study. Join us for this podcast or video.
Dr. Baruch goes into detail about a passage that was important to the Apostle Paul. Today the church is lacking in teaching about doctrine and theology because it may not "grow" the church. But for those of us who wish to be disciples to live a praiseworthy life to God, we must know how critical doctrine and theology are to our walk with Christ. The Lord wants us to be ready and prepared. We do this by knowing how and what God expects us to obey. Don't miss this foundation talk!

What is next on the prophetic calendar? People we encountered have said; "It doesn't feel right in the world, and something is wrong." We agree. There is something unsettled, and it is the events that are rising, as if from the turbulent "sea" of political chaos. Nations are indeed rising against nation and religious persecution around the world is at an all-time high. Churches seem to be oblivious to the needs of people and God's call to preach the word of God and make disciples. Can we know what is happening and when? Dr. Baruch opens up the Scripture to see the next events on God's timeline. But are you ready? Are you a Kingdom-minded person? Don't know how to be? This podcast will get you started. The first place is to get on our face before the Lord Jesus. Then ask for a new heart in our fight against sin and for help in living a praiseworthy life to Him. He wants us to be ready. That can only happen with a submitted heart to the Lord. Join us for this podcast.

Dr. Baruch Korman discusses Matthew 23:32-44 at Bible Study Company First Annual User Conference, and its relevance for us. Christ is the Spirit of Prophecy and lining our lives up with prophecy is crucial. For example, we will be with the Lord in the Millennial Reign of Christ thus should we not get ready now while in this body? But how? How do lay-people learn to understand the symbolism? The Lord will help us if we are committed to His plans and purposes. Watch Dr. Baruch unpack this key Scripture describing the last days time-lines. Join us for this great podcast.

What's the big deal? He is, and you are!
Can you grasp that the God of the Universe made the heavens and the earth? (Psalm 146:6) It is good for us to have a healthy fear of Him, especially the "fear" to offend our Creator. (Proverbs 1) He gives us life and breath and our basic needs. (Acts 17:25, Matthew 6:25-34) The world is not a safe place. We, on the other hand, are focused on us. We are just individuals in this vast world looking for our place (isn't there a song about that?). We want to be somebody. (John 3:18-21) Our hoping for notice…from the world or our church community is a deep pursuit to fulfill. Does it fulfill? What does God want from us? (Exodus 28:1) Few ask that question. If they do ask, there is healing in the question. Strangely, the Lord asks us to decrease so He can increase. (John 3:30) Yep, that doesn't fit into how we grew up scrambling for significance. We see other people held up by the world and church as; "this person is successful because they are "doing" XYZ." Next comes the inference "that we need to emulate him, her or they." Adverts, books, and seminars are taught around the "success" of this or that person or system of thought. "You need to read "so and so" megachurch pastor's new book…". Why not just read the Bible to obey it?
Sometimes, after pursuing the right formulas in business, or church, we leave with still more ache and loneliness. We are told; "dive in and get connected." This is code for; volunteer. Or the oft used phrase that chills our bones; "you can do it." Or worse, "you lack faith." We sink lower because our; "pick me up by the bootstrap" strap broke long ago. Or worse, the nagging gut feeling; "maybe I just don't have what it takes." Why do I feel or think I am so insignificant? Didn't the Lord make me for His purposes? What am I missing? Focus. Yep, we said it. The right focus on the "Who"…not the "do." We think the "do" is a plan to keep us from the WHO. Grab the tree trunk of our identity and let's shake our perspective for all its worth and then get the Lord's mind on things. (Romans 12 whole chapter)
As we have stated in other podcasts, we are to find our place in the world by just being His servant and ministering to Him. Yep, not glamourous. Not supposed to be. Because our focus must be Him. What about you? Keep reading.
We see our conflict in Scripture. (Luke 10:38-42) Remember Mary and Martha? Martha invited Christ to her house. But it wasn't just Christ that came. While Scripture doesn't say if there was a group, we do know some crowds followed Him. Based on the text, Martha was preparing for many. She was a good host. She made people feel welcome. Martha wanted to meet their needs. Sound familiar? We can now go look in the mirror. Her focus? It was on the guests. But she notices her sister is not helping HER. Notice the "Who" is missing, and her attention is on "them." Side note: The "do" benefits us because people are pleased, and many will say "great job" and "thank you, Martha." As we write this commentary, we are very torn because we see ourselves in Martha. No. We ARE Martha. Serving is tiring! And Mary was not helping! This next segment in Scripture should cause us surprised pause. Martha demanded (commanded...oops a lousy attitude to take!) that Christ tell her sister Mary to help her! No was Christ's answer. The presence of the Lord brings life and conviction of sin. Instead of having Mary help Martha, He revealed to Martha her actual need. Mary was at His feet, which is symbolic of worship, and thus, Christ said she chose the better portion. "41 But the Lord answered and said to her, "Martha, Martha, you are worried and bothered about so many things; (I am not your focus…people are) 42 but only one thing is necessary, for Mary has chosen the good part, which shall not be taken away from her." Notice the ONE thing. In this case, it was Mary's full attention on the Lord, proper worship at His feet, and the WORD's OF CHRIST. Mary fulfilled Exodus 28:1 "Minister to Me." Our conclusion could be: Sitting at the Lord's feet and hearing His words IS more important than serving people? Perhaps that is something we can think about. First, we minister to the Lord BEFORE we minister to people. Or when the Lord is with us, people can serve themselves? As we write this blog, our hearts are burning with the knowledge that our call is to worship only Him. He helps us take care of the details. "Hey, Ric, my family can't feed itself." I understand, but please set your eyes on the ONE thing and He will help you.
Let's look at another chapter.
In the podcast, we also cover Deut. 28. This is the "blessings and curses" chapter. If YOU obey the word of God, you will be blessed. But read the whole chapter. Go read now then read further. Notice that if our focus is on the Lord and His Word, then He does all the work, including helping us in our daily lives which includes serving people, and He even helps us obey His laws! Adam was a gardner thus could not make a plant grow that he needed to eat. The Lord did that part. As we served in the first annual bible study conference, we felt as if the Lord was doing the work, and we were helping! In other words, Deut, 28! Our podcast shows that to serve the Lord, we focus on Him (worship) and His Word, and He will make us significant in HIS Household! And this life is short. Our eyes should be fixed on the Kingdom to come. We are vital to the Lord, and He loves each of us. He wants to be an active part of our lives. (Psalm 4) Join us for this fun look at our motives, and we try to answer the question in this podcast: What's the big deal? Answer: He is, and you are.

Ric and Mary Joyner explore Exodus 30 tabernacle in the wilderness and the similarities of an ordinary household. God's agenda is to dwell with man. And remarkably the sanctuary in the wilderness is designed like a household. When the priest would enter the holy of holies there was furniture "like" in a house and is clearly visible from the light of the menorah (all houses need light especially from the Word of God), next is a table for bread (Christ said He was the bread of life), and there are prayers going up from the altar of incense. We are before our God in service to Him. But we live life in Him and through Him. Join us for this podcast and ask yourself these question: Is it an accident that this looks like a normal but vastly holy house? Is ours? We are contrite and humble when we realize we have offended our King because of sin. Are we trembling at His word?

Podcast For Pewsitters presents the "treadmill of NEVER ENOUGH". Does this title make you tired already? The demands of the world don't change once our eyes are opened to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. In fact, they may just get WORSE! Why? Because when we realize that we are serving God Himself, then a greater weight is now upon us. But is this added weight from Christ or us? Isaiah 30:15 says: 15 For thus the Lord GOD, the Holy One of Israel, has said, "In repentance and rest you will be saved, In quietness and trust is your strength. But you were not willing..."
What if we are a performance-based person? Running on the treadmill of life to make sure we are "something" in the world and hopefully leave a name for ourselves? Add God into this mix and we are on the treadmill of NEVER ENOUGH.
Are we so busy with serving that we don't have time for anyone including our King and obedience to His Word? Have you ever thought: "Well, my family can wait because I am serving God?" Is this approach to sacrifice our families for church biblical when God wants us to serve our families? Add our natural desire to compare ourselves to other people, and the religious treadmill begins and now we have a recipe for NEVER ENOUGH soup! Here is hope: Matthew 11:28-29 28 "Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. 29 "Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and YOU WILL FIND REST FOR YOUR SOULS. 30 "For My yoke is easy and My burden is light." See that? Come to Me. Is that our recipe?
Get off! Get off the treadmill of never enough! Let's put our full dependence and trust in Him. He "has" this life. And how would we do life anyway in our own strength, EVEN serving in the church? What if trusting and waiting on God meant to depend on Him? Jesus's mission was to serve and do the Will of His Father in Heaven. What if our "ministry" is only to Him and then He brings ministry to us? Let's focus on Him and learn to worship Christ, obey Him for Who and what He has done for us. This podcast will lift your heart.

I was able to get an interview with Dr. Charles Jackson of Liberty University. He is a Creation Scientist. Our topic is the gospel and science...are they compatible? We are taught only one version of our origins in school and that can have a profound effect on us and our trust in the bible and even the gospel. The interesting thing is I went to a secular university in the mid-2000s and received an undergrad and graduate degree. I loved science and came out with my faith in God's word intact. I had fun debates with my professors. But a question I asked the Lord when Mary and I set out to study to live a praiseworthy life to God was: "Lord if I am going to study Your Word I want to know how to look at the Creation story?" You may find this podcast fun. Here is the podcast link if you like:

Several questions we discuss are:
• Why are 6 days of Creation important versus evolution's "long age theory"?
• Is there a clash between world-views?
• How should a Christian approach the bible?
• If you are a scientist that believes in God you have a bias but a scientist who does not believe in God also has a bias?
• Jesus said that Adam and Eve, Noah and Abraham were real people. Can we trust the biblical account of 6 days?
• If we accept long age theory, what do we do with death since the wages of sin is death?
Our position on biblical creation is crucial for the Gospel. Why? The Lord Jesus Christ in the new testament shared that Adam and Eve were real people as well as Noah, Abraham, and even Jonah. The world is His House and His Rules.
Paul said in 2 Timothy 3:16-17 *"16 All Scripture is God-Breathed and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; 17 so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work."

Many Christians do not want to think about the 6 days of Creation biblical account AS 6 DAYS. Why not? Only one worldview of science is taught in secular schools, and that is evolution. If we are going to approach the Bible to be obedient as disciples, then the account given in Genesis should produce faith in us that we can trust a God Who could speak the universe into existence in 6 days. He even knew us in the womb and formed us for His purposes…psalm 139. The "fall of man" into sin by rejecting God's one command explains how the world is decaying due to sin and death. With our sin, we require saving!
Sin, as a result of the fall of man, our true nature for rebellion to God is exposed. While we like to think we are a good person, the 10 commandments in Exodus 20 says differently. Christ endured the wrath of God on the cross for humanity's sin. We are all liars, thieves, and blasphemers. Let's turn to Him for salvation and after that, let's put our full trust in the biblical account of our origins.

Why don't husbands and wives study?
Husbands and wives rarely, if ever, study the Bible together. They go to church together; they may pray at the table and when confronted with this fact Mary and I decided to study the bible together using principles from loveisrael.org. Notice I said principles. Not formulas.
How did it affect you?
So, what happened Ric? This podcast shares our struggles, with each other and how the power of God came into our lives to deal with sin, heal past hurts, grow us up and literally the lessons being learned by the people in Exodus, we were learning! How is this possible? Because it is a book from God. This is His creation thus His house and His rules. The highest call in our life is to reflect His glory and His plans and purposes to the world. We are alive for only a few years, never knowing when we will leave this planet. Let us make it count by studying His word to obey it! The Presence of God will come in a powerful way and a life you have never thought existed as a Christian is upon us.
Persecution?
And by the way. You will be opposed by distractions, other Christians and family. Exactly like Christ. Hold on to Him as your life is about to change. Join Ric and Mary Joyner in Podcast for Pewsitters as we discuss the power of studying God’s word as husband and wife.
When does God use people? Is it random? Or does God use people who are concerned that His will is carried out?
The altar of incense is connected to the extraordinary events leading up to Christ's birth. Our prayers matter to God. We are in Luke 1 rather than Exodus 30. Our discussion opens in Luke 1 to ordinary people invited to participate in prophetic fulfillment! Everyone in Luke 1 are concerned with God's Will being carried out IN their lives daily. Remember, our highest purpose is to worship and serve God by ministering to Him. (Exodus 28:1) The priest Zachariah was selected by lot to serve in the temple to take care of the altar of incense. (not an accident) Zachariah has a supernatural encounter with an angel. This angel brings Zachariah long-awaited news about a child to Zachariah and his wife. This child's mission is to call people back to God through repentance of their sins. This angel is standing by the altar of incense! Our previous podcasts discussed that the altar of incense is a picture of our honest prayers dealing with sin in our lives. And here it is that God is moving to start His promise-keeping to the world to send us a Savior! How do we become involved in the prophetic events of God?
Lets' find out with Podcast for Pewsitters Ric and Mary Joyner.
This podcast rocked our hearts and souls. We hope it does you. Our podcast is about dealing with our sin to please God. We will cover topics of symbolism, such as the size and width of the altar and the prayers that create a sweet aroma to our God. When we realize that the altar is about us dealing with sin and then being honest with God in our prayers a whole new world opens of the Kingdom of God. So what "state" are we in? Are we dealing with sin or just going through the motions?
Here is a comment from our Sound Engineer: "Enjoyed listening to the episode. I’ve heard a couple of similar talks about the idea of understanding your position in the scope of the world and with God. The way you guys frame it is a little clearer than most of what I’ve heard, though—a refreshing take on it! Oh…and about the televangelists and the ‘prophets’ and whatnot…man, don’t even get me started. Haha. I feel the same way. There’s a lot of substanceless stuff floating around out there, and you guys are right in saying that the reason they attract so many is that they ignore sin, they ignore the foundations on which our need for grace came about. Kind of a big thing to miss, lol."

Through the books of the Bible, we come to Exodus 30 which gives us an exciting design for prayer! A sin offering is made on the large altar which we tackled in other podcasts. Our podcast today is discussing the altar of incense. When we are serious about dealing with sin in our life we will recognize that the sacrifice of animals can only COVER over our sin. The animals were innocent. We are not. This fact should create a desire for gratitude toward God for providing a way to get close to Him. The sacrifice is pointing to Christ. Next, we have the altar of incense which is a picture of the pattern of prayer. Repentance of our sins and self-will leads to worship. This is a soothing aroma for God. As believers in Christ, we want to offer prayers that deal with the recognition of our need to obliterate sin. When we deal with sin, we then submit to God's authority in our lives (the four horns) and move toward a relationship with Almighty God that shuns sin! These prayers are answered because we are aligning with His will and drawing close to the Giver of Life! We then can become servants useful for His good work. Notice that we are putting our faith in the lamb, we are not perfected, in and of ourselves. We are perfected because we placed our sin, by faith, on the lamb and are willing to rid our lives of sin to be pleasing to God.
The fragrant perfume is our willingness to get honest about our sin and seek judgment against it and then walk in worship to God. Our prayers go up to God with love and thanksgiving for the sacrifice of the lamb taking our place. We should have died because the wages of sin is death, but He has made a way for us to fellowship. Let's use this pattern of prayer. Pray to deal with sin, pray to place our sins on the Lamb of God (Christ Jesus) and pray to worship God in thanksgiving that Christ took our punishment and then let us pray for repentance of any and all sin and pray for His authority in every area of our lives and become Kingdom people! Use God's pattern when you pray. Pray to do His will. Join Ric and Mary Joyner in the podcast. Next week will be Altar of Incense Part 2 God honors those who are obedient.

“Ok Ric and Mary, what lamb are you referring to?” Great question because we see several situations that tell us a story about sacrifice and covering sin.
Background: Scripture says: “The soul that sins shall die.” Ez 18:20 and “The wages of sin is death…” Romans 6:23. These two scriptures sum up what happened in the garden of Eden with Man. Adam and Eve decided to depend on themselves rather than God. They chose to break God’s law, and this is an excellent definition of sin; ‘dependence on ourselves.’
Another aspect to consider is that Man was made to serve and worship God. God’s ultimate plan is to dwell with man. The garden was created for God to live with man, and so were the sanctuary and the temple. Thus, being made servants, we are to act accordingly by serving and worshipping God in all we are, do and say. Christ was our example by setting aside His will to do the will of God.
In the garden, when God saw Man had sinned, God, Himself took an animal and “covered” their nakedness and made them clothes. The animal died in their place. Through Adam and Eve, we were born into sin.
As Exodus 2 opens, the Hebrews are in brutal slavery in Egypt which is a picture of the world system and Satan’s kingdom. Our desires run to a world system which is always tempting us to worship other gods and even to serve ourselves. Read Psalm 78 for an overview of the nation of Israel. The story and failure is a picture of us. Christ warned us of enslavement to sin in John 8:31-36. During this Passover season, it behooves us to ask the Holy Spirit to examine our lives for hidden sin and idolatry.
The Hebrews were instructed to kill a lamb so that death would Passover them. Christ is our Passover lamb. Then for seven days, they were to remove all leaven from their lives, which is a picture of sin, 1 Cor 5:7. God is teaching us that sin is a separator from God. The presence of God in our lives will reveal sin.
Then in Exodus 29, God instructed the priests to sacrifice two one-year-old lambs, one for each morning and evening! God is offering to cover our sin every day! It points to Christ. If we were an Israelite our job was to, by faith, place our sin onto the sacrifice of the lambs. We ask God to cover us and forgive us. We are not to work in religious practices to have our sins hidden but to look toward God and get help from Him.
Fast forward to Christ being brutalized and hung on a tree for our sin. John the Baptist called Jesus Christ the lamb of God. John 1:29 “The next day John seeing Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which takes away the sin of the world.”
The torture of Christ was a picture of God’s wrath on OUR sin (let’s make this personal). The lambs were innocent, but the people were not. Christ was sinless and willingly gave Himself for us who are not innocent! Let us deal with sin now during this season of the Passover lamb.
Titus 2:11-13 is God 's goal for man. He then gives us the Holy Spirit to empower us away from ungodliness!
During this Passover and Resurrection days, Mary and I will be at the foot of the cross in sincere gratitude to our Savior because we indeed need saving! We desperately want the presence of God in our lives to fellowship with our Creator. Thus, we will trust in Christ’s sacrifice this Passover and Resurrection knowing that sin was dealt with when we believe in Christ. We will also move to eradicate sin in our lives with His help. We end with this verse: Romans 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Join us for this podcast!

Moses flees Egypt. He stood up to the Egyptians and the situation turned for the worse. He fled to Midian and sat down by the well. There is another famous biblical story of someone sitting at a well. In John 4, Christ sat down by the well to discuss, of all things, worship with the “woman at the well”. Worship of our Creator is the highest purpose of man. We worship God by sitting down from our own efforts. Obedience to God reflects service in all areas of our life. We live by His Word.
Sitting at the well is a podcast about giving up our effort and becoming dependent on God. Moses effort to save the Israelites ended him running for his life. Next scene is at the well where Moses is sitting down. He gave up his effort. And while scripture doesn’t say what Moses was thinking or feeling, we know that worship is a picture of sitting at the well. How do we know? There was another famous “sit down” at a well and it is in the New Testament. In John 4, Christ sat down by the well and discussed worship of God with a woman. The parallels between the two stories are remarkable. We know that Moses was a type of Christ!
Why is the well a metaphor for worship? Taking our effort, our worries, our fears, our running and give them up at the well, we need to dig deep by lowering the bucket to the refreshing water. Christ is our refreshing water. We worship our Creator, knowing our lives have ALWAYS been in His hands. Worship leads to service. Join Ric and Mary joyner for sitting at the well.

What is relationship parenting? And what is the Scriptural basis for relationship parenting? Let’s discuss the styles of parenting today. One type of parenting is called modeling. In other words, we “model” good “Christian” behavior in front of our children and then expect them to model that behavior when they grow up. However, this can produce children who are “religious” thus “going through the motions” because it pleases you. The danger of this type of parenting is that the kids don’t “connect” with the religion and can abandon what we modeled either before or after they leave home. As adults, we know our relationship with Christ is vital for all aspects of our life. Wouldn’t that be the same for a child? We remember as children that we had fears, troubles in relationships and wanting to be heard. Let’s point them to Christ each and every day. We are raising “little sinners” like ourselves. We need help!
Let’s turn to our bibles and read about two different generations. One followed God’s will into the promised land and the other abandoned even knowing God and they were in the land He gave them!
Compare all verses in context
This is what we hope will happen in our parenting: Proverbs 22:6 (New American Standard Bible)
Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.
(Note the phrase; “train up” is dedicate. As in dedicating the temple of the Lord. We are to dedicate our children AS temples of the Lord’s dwelling. This is where teaching a relationship with God and obedience to His word in their daily lives is so critical. Teaching them the plans and purposes of God so they can line up with His purpose is dedicating them. (The goal of the Lord in the old and new testament is to “dwell with His people” such as the garden, the sanctuary in the wilderness, the temple, and then finally Jesus Christ) We show them how through modeling and they implement a relationship with Christ.
Judges 2:7 (New American Standard Bible)
And the people served the LORD all the days of Joshua, and all the days of the elders that outlived Joshua, who had seen all the great works of the LORD, that he did for Israel.
This is what we do not want! Judges 2:10 (New American Standard Bible)
And also all that generation were gathered unto their fathers: and there arose another generation after them, which knew not the LORD, nor yet the works which he had done for Israel.
This scene is playing itself out in the world today with the children we raised abandoning God. Did you notice what I shared? Abandoning God, not just church!
How then do we model correct behavior that pleases God AND to teach our kids to have a relationship with Christ? Only through the help and inspiration of the Holy Spirit. Our God wants to build His kingdom in those little hearts of our children. Let’s help Him do that!

How shall we start in faith? Fortunately, we have 66 books that help us know God's will. We are created by God, to serve Him. He is loving and allows us to go our own way. Faith brings us to Christ through repentance of our sin. Pewsitters then walk in obedience to God's word. We search the scriptures so we will know what pleases our King if we are going to be Kingdom people. People of biblical faith then are those who choose to study God's word and apply it so that His plans and purposes are revealed in their lives and then to those around them. The presence of God is a precious thing and we want to walk with Him in obedience. We want to KNOW Christ and He was obedient to His Father's will. Let's walk in His power! As Mary and I have studied Exodus, we noticed that the children of Israel died in the wilderness! They saw the judgment that God brought against Egypt to free them from their bondage. They saw the miracles that God did in caring for them in the wilderness. Yet, they all died there with God angry at them. How do we know this? Hebrews 3:10 says; "THEREFORE I WAS ANGRY WITH THIS GENERATION, AND SAID, 'THEY ALWAYS GO ASTRAY IN THEIR HEART, AND THEY DID NOT KNOW MY WAYS'; This brought the fear of God into our minds and hearts. Why? Because if they believed on the Passover lamb to save them from Egypt and we believe on Jesus Christ as our Passover lamb can we suffer the same fate as they did? It appears that even though they saw God's provisions and were given His laws they chose not to study them to get to know the God of the Universe. WOW! We had better pay attention to the lessons contained in the Bible. Abram did the opposite. He obeyed God. Faith is a gift God gives us. But we must act on His word. Isn't this what the Children of Israel faced as well? Faith is obedience to God's word. That is why we are studying and applying it. If it weren't for His work in our lives, an eternal home is nonexistent! But we have hope in Jesus Christ We want to live a praiseworthy life to God. We please Him by trusting in Him even when we can't see through the trials. Join Ric and Mary Joyner in a podcast for pewsitters.

Exodus Chapter 3 Part 1 is a pivot point in the Exodus story of the Holy Bible. We are at the time and place that God is acting on fulfilling prophecy or rather a promise to Abraham 400 years before! God speaks and it happens. This is how we know the Bible is true! Prophecy is inherently related to the fulfillment of something God says will happen. Our God means what He says and as Kingdom people, we want to respond to His will and look to the reasons God is speaking, and for what purposes and to whom, and if there are outcomes our Savior is looking to create. The sons of Israel are in dire straits within Egypt. God is listening to their heart cries. Let us respond to His ways. Join our online bible study through our podcast for pewsitters.
Do you know we are in a time of prophetic fulfillment for the last days? How can we line up with what God is doing? Let’s take a look at how Moses is responding to being confronted by God with an interesting sign…a burning bush! How can we respond as Moses did? Our bible study will focus on why the children of Israel are in the wilderness, and why there are applications for us today! The wilderness is dependence on God. The Hebrew word for wilderness contains the word DBAR. This word is used many times when God speaks. In fact, it is a name for God. Yahweh Speaks. Our Lord wants us to obey His word and will speak to us when we desire to get under His rule in our lives. Join Ric and Mary Joyner for Podcast for pewsitters to learn lessons from the burning bush.

Ever feel pummeled? That life is throwing circumstances at you? Could these be trials and tests? If we put ourselves under the Kingdom of God seeking His will and to be pleasing to our King then these are indeed for our good. But what if we react wrongly or make a bad decision? What if a series of events start that you can’t stop and perhaps people reject you? Is God in this with you? This podcast is about Ric and Mary Joyner going through a pummeling time. Moses in Exodus 2 Part 5 has made a horrible decision to help God save the Hebrew people from Egypt. A major life change happens as a result. Ric and Mary experience several major life changes that hurt! Ever felt like this? Moses goes from “top of the world” to what appears to be the lowest job on Earth, and a new family, culture and leaving loved ones behind. This is painful, this is disorientating, this is sad. How will he ever recover? God is with Him. He is with us. Listen or watch with Ric and Mary how God moves for those who love Him and want to be Kingdom people. The bible study principle: "The Holy Bible invades our life" is real. We believe that God uses circumstances to reinforce what we are studying and thus is the reason for the pummeling! So the Lord is allowing you to experience the lessons of Scripture! And in the next few podcasts we will show you how this principle is working with people who decide to study the Holy Bible together especially as husband and wife.

We are like most people. We studied the bible to benefit ourselves. Our lives dramatically changed when we started to study to OBEY GOD. Christ laid down His will for God's will. Will we? (sorry for the pun).
God will show us His purpose for our lives and give us the power to obey. Our lives will radically transform into becoming a disciple. A disciple is one who obeys the word of God. When you study, pray for the Holy Spirit to guide you. Here is a promise in 1 John 2:27 "As for you, the anointing which you received from Him abides in you, and you have no need for anyone to teach you; but as His anointing teaches you about all things, and is true and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you abide in Him."

The parallels of the journey out into wilderness are fascinating. It's something you have in the back of your head, but to think about it the way you guys are here just shows how deep it goes and how much we can learn from it beyond just being aware of the historical happenings."
We discuss Kingdom truths that we can see today. For example, the women who came to the well were 7 in number, and they were daughters. In other words, they were a father's inheritance. So are we. 7 has specific ramifications in scripture, and the fact women took a lead role in the salvation of Moses in chapter 2 are clues. Women in Scripture represent redemption (as the Messiah would come through their seed). Our bible study principle is seeing the symbols of both the physical and the spiritual. God has a grand plan and we can be part of it if we line ourselves up with His purposes and take steps of faith to flee this world system called Egypt. Egypt is not in a far off place with pyramids. It is this world we live in which is growing more anti-Christ every day. We have hope for our redemption. Let's get busy being obedient to Scripture.

You have heard it said: “Obedience is better than sacrifice” What is obedience to God?
We were created in Gen 2 for the purpose of serving God. Our worship and ministry are to HIM ALONE. Just like Adam and Eve. He then put them in His garden. This garden contains His rules and His boundaries. He gave us free will. True love always is about choosing to love or not. God considers those who obey His Word…those who love Him. (John 14:15) Look at your own children. When they obey what you say and the boundaries you set for them, we swell with pride and want to do all we can to help them to achieve. But Adam and Eve chose not to obey the Word of God. We are Adam and Eve. We/They decided they would live their own life apart from dependence on God. This caused sin to enter the world and sin creates death and SEPARATION FROM GOD. Their "sin" affected billions of people and the entire Creation. Can we say that the original sin was disobedience to the Word of God?
What hope do we have if they died because of their disobedience to the Word of God? They were separated from God...dead spiritually. We have a clue in John 3 that Christ said we must be born again. How? So this is our study and podcast. There are so many nuggets of biblical truth to help us obey. God answered a question we had of whether we as nonprofessionals would He speak to us? YES! Proverbs 1 says He is shouting to the world, yet we won't have the ability to hear Him if we are in the mindset of disobedience to God aka sin. Do we want to take that risk the only life we have to live to turn from the One Who created us? NO!
Why study the Bible? We are all called to be disciples of Christ if we are born again and have accepted His sacrifice for our sin then then we are born new in our spirit and now can understand the Word of God. Christ is the Word of God. (John 1). As untrained professionals, how do we approach the Word of God to learn His ways? (Heb 3:10) The disciples were not trained bible teachers. So what was different about them? What can we learn from their lives and why did Christ's focus on them? With the help of the Holy Spirit, they obeyed His Word. (John 14:15) We can too. We need to change our approach from gaining knowledge ABOUT God to OBEDIENCE to God. Join us for Podcast for Pewsitters Bible Study Step 1 Obey God vs Gain Knowledge. Come and join Ric and Mary Joyner for our first weekly series on Bible study of studying the bible to obey God not just gain knowledge about God.

Do we understand the fear of the Lord? What if the fear of the Lord is the fear to offend our Creator? We are made by God to serve Him and Him only. Exodus 29 begins with the garments given for the "call" of Aaron and his sons to serve the Lord in the tabernacle. The Lord gave Moses special instructions for the garments of Aaron and his sons. There was specific detail the skillful workers were required to follow. The garments in this chapter hold symbols for our own bodies. Each area of clothing, for example, our minds, are to be crowned with “holiness to the Lord”. (Eph 6) Everything we think about should become captive to Christ according to Paul. Our heart-life will be affected if our thought-life is not under the control of Christ and His Word (2 Cor 10:5). Does our inside match our outside (garments)?
Christ said to follow me. He gave us His Word to obey. Follow Him means we do what He did which was subject Himself to the will of His Father. Will we obey like this? When we do, it shows faith and trust in Jesus Christ. Will we have a fear to offend Him? Wouldn't that begin a journey of wisdom if we approached all areas of life with "fear to offend" Him? And decided all areas of our life will be “in service” to Him and Him alone? Join us for our Podcast for Pewsitters, Fear to offend and does our inside match our outside?

We are studying the Bible in Exodus 28:36-38 where the pattern for the priestly garments was being discussed and came on the verses that were about Aaron's head coverings. The description had a symbolic detail that not only pointed to Christ but how we, as priests, were to focus our minds. We will serve what we think about. (Phil 4:6-8)
Romans 12:1-2 1 “Therefore I urge you, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship. 2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.” These verses show Aaron’s focus as a priest. Each piece of the garment is a spiritual principle that, if we obey, will lead us to a praiseworthy life to God.
Are we Kingdom people? Who are they and what do they do? The first clue is obedience to God’s word which Moses was doing by responding to the pattern that God was showing him precisely as God revealed. Next God is teaching us symbolism in the priestly garments of how Christ would act and how we must follow Him too. This is important because Colossians 3:2 says; “Set your mind on the things above, not on the things that are on earth.”
His agenda is for our minds. We will eventually serve our thoughts. The gold plate with the "seal" of the ‘Holiness to the Lord’ is a powerful reminder of where our minds must be set because our hearts will soon follow. I struggle with reading the news and how bad things are getting. Meaning that it is almost scary where the entire world is headed in opposition to God’s principles. It truly is the ‘Days of Noah’ as Christ shared. And this worldly thinking causes some fear. I gently hear in these Scriptures; “get back to focus on Me and My Kingdom there is much to learn…let’s go and get walking!” Right. This is being a Kingdom person!
These garment patterns will give us a clue of what our focus must be while we minister to the Lord and then how He ministers to the world. If we are ready for Him, He can use us. What if we have doubts? What if we are in the midst of trials? Where do we turn? Join us for Podcast for Pewsitters with Ric and Mary Joyner to discuss how to be a Kingdom person!

Podcast For Pewsitters: We are discussing the priestly garments and how they point to Christ. What happened between Exodus 19 where God told Moses He wanted a Kingdom of priests and Exodus 28 where only Aaron was the High Priest? Something drastic changed. If God loves us the way we are, as some say, then we need to love Him for the way He is. This is His world and we are His servants. But, do we act the way we were made? Did you know we were not made to serve ourselves and our happiness? Did you know our purpose is to minister to God?
Could what we desire be to our detriment unless it lines up with God's Will? Do we want to walk with Him and experience joy and peace and satisfaction in this rough, tumble and a hurtful world even if our life is crumbling? Yes!
Why were the priestly garments even needed? What is God calling us to in Christ? Why did He suffer for us and die for us? Could it be we are criminals? Christ died a criminals death. Was this a picture to show us how bad sin is? Yes! No one likes this thought, but we do need to look in the mirror of our heart called the 10 commandments to see where we stack up. These are the 10 expectations of God. The "follow your feelings" society just doesn't cut it in the Kingdom of God. People are left hungry, empty and broken. But God is our Creator and He can make a way for us. What is it?
We ask questions like why did Aaron get priestly garments and not Moses? Perhaps Moses was a model priest already? Moses heard God's voice and carried it out exactly. That is what priests did in the Old Testament and disciples do in the New. He was truly a servant of God. We have God's Word and we can be the same. We can say Moses was trained by God. We have the same opportunity. Will we take it?
What is God trying to say to us with the tinkling bells and pomegranates? Where does all of this show up in the new testament? Why is there so much symbolism in the old testaments? Why can't people see the connection to symbolism? Could the gospels be a parallel picture of the Exodus? The Hebrews in the desert saw the pillar of fire and the cloud and how God miraculously provided for them, yet it says they did not believe! (Hebrews 3) WHAT! The people in the new testament saw the miracles and the Words of Christ as He spoke to them, yet many did not believe! Even some of the disciples doubted! (Matthew 28) What shall we do? Could obeying God produce faith? YES! One step toward Him, even if we are confused and unsure is an act of faith. It will even produce more faith! You will start to grow up in God. Let God help you with your pain, hurt and confusion.
We asked a lot of questions, and this is exactly what we should do every time we approach scripture. "What is Your agenda, Lord and how may I carry it out?" Join Ric and Mary Joyner for Podcast for Pew Sitters!

We explore the area where Jesus had His ministry in the northern areas of Israel. But we head down to Jerusalem and explore biblical sites. We explore David's tomb, the valleys around Jerusalem and Dr. Baruch's teaching. We realize that the Bible is real history and God has an agenda which He will share with us if we are interested. We saw David's tomb, the pool of Bethesda, and the actual place where Pontius Pilate rendered judgment on Christ. There was not a dry eye in the place. Very moving emotionally. He died a criminal’s death because we are criminals before God because this world is His Creation and we are His creation and we break His law. We are made to serve Him. We sin, and He saves us!

In this episode, Ric and Mary Joyner of Bible Study Company discuss why they went to Israel. What did they see? And did how Israel and the tour touched them? Ric said: "It is fair to say that we left our hearts in Israel. We see why this country has been through so much as it literally is in the center of the world and where the trade routes went through for the entire known world. Was this an accident? Or does God have plans for lands, peoples and us? Psalm 24: 1 A Psalm of David. The earth is the LORD'S, and all it contains, the world, and those who dwell in it. 2 For He has founded it upon the seas And established it upon the rivers. As always we want to line up with His agenda not our own. This is why we study the bible. We are His creation and therefore we can choose to serve Him or ourselves. Which will it be?"
Going to Israel was fraught with anxiety and safety concerns but we discovered that this was a false narrative. We went on tour with Dr. Baruch and Rivka Korman of loveisrael.org. This was a teaching tour. Meaning, that we would include tourist areas but also spend time teaching at specific spots to relate the Bible and God's agenda to the land. It was over the top good. Loveisrael.org is having another tour in 2019. Their website has details. So join us for a time of discussion in this podcast about our trip for part 1. Two pew-sitters who are studying the Bible using principles Dr. Korman taught us and we went to actually see the Holy Land! WOW!
Have you ever thought there might be more to the Lord's Prayer in Matthew 6:9?
Our mission is to obey the Word of God which is the Bible. To be a disciple of Christ, we are to follow Him. The Lord has just given the “Sermon on the Mount” in Matthew 5, which is how we should respond to the ten commandments if we want to live a praiseworthy life to God. Christ gives a picture of a person’s heart who is convicted of sin by encountering the ten commandments and is now asking for God’s help to change. In chapter 6, the Lord is showing us, now what our responding to His call looks like in daily life as we live out His words. Then He shows us how to pray. In Verse 7, He starts out by saying:
7 "And when you are praying, do not use meaningless repetition as the Gentiles do, for they suppose that they will be heard for their many words. 8 "So do not be like them; for your, Father knows what you need before you ask Him.” (NASB)
So we asked ourselves why do we pray the Lord’s prayer as meaningless repetition? Is there more to this prayer than how we were taught in church? We believe yes, and thus could it be an outline for us to follow? For years we have broken this prayer down and spent time walking outside or praying in a quiet place to spend time on each part of the outline. As a couple, we will use this as an outline when we pray together. Great relationship building with the Lord has occurred. We want to caution that this is no formula because this is how Christ said to pray. Faith is acting on God’s word. And if you look closely at the whole prayer, it is indeed an outline, and each part of it takes time. Join Ric and Mary Joyner in their podcast for Pewsitters spending time on each part of this prayer. Let us know what you think.

We are home from Israel after being on a study tour with Dr. Baruch Korman of Loveisrael.org. The tour was a treasure of experiences causing the Bible to come alive. We felt we were in "God's home" and we could literally see prophecy fulfilled. We were able to experience the peoples' daily lives and how God cared for them. But "daily circumstances" invaded our lives too once we returned home. This podcast is about why there were no podcasts to continue our study of Exodus and what "other things" happened in our life. Grab your favorite beverage and join us for an update.
Our podcast and Exodus Chapter 2 has several moving parts. Since Exodus is a factual narrative, we need to “read” between the lines, so to speak, to find out what God is asking us to “see” so that we may act appropriately. What are the lessons? Why did the Israelites go into slavery in Egypt? Mary and I believe this question is highly important and relevant to today’s Christianity. The answer lies in Jeremiah 2. We can go into slavery as God’s people by not living according to His Word. One of the themes of Exodus is dependence on God. So how do we get into bondage in this modern world? And that is the biblical study principle of application. How does God want us to look at the story and get the lessons within it for our lives?
We are in Exodus 2 Part 3 where Moses is now older and is deciding there is another call on his life. He makes some choices that cause an irrevocable decision. Moses, although acting on the promises of God to Abraham, takes the situation into his own hands rather than waiting on God and is forced to flee.
But there is much more going on in this story. Through word studies, we will see the lessons God wishes to teach us, and we will see that symbolism in the old testament foreshadows Christ! Please listen and comment below.

Have you ever wondered why Exodus is a picture of our Christian walk with Christ? Or why this incredible story is a part of the Jewish nation's history? Could it be about people acting in faith? We need faith to believe in God. Or do we? Is there more to faith than just believing? What if actions play a role? What is biblical faith and why does it matter? There are two undercurrents in the storyline that God wants to reveal to us. One has to do with faith and the other being Kingdom minded. In this Podcast called “Faith and Kingdom people," we will see men and women operating for God or against His agenda. What type of people will WE be? Join Ric and Mary Joyner in studying Exodus to live a praiseworthy life to God. HIS AGENDA HIS WAY!

Chapter 2 Part 1 has several moving parts. A Marriage, the birth of Moses, saving of Moses and after Moses grows up he kills an Egyptian. This story is a factual narrative. A type of literature that leaves out many details of the person's life but just presents the facts. Almost like a checklist. But then we are left to fill in the blanks. The "blanks" are what our focus will be because God has many truths to teach us in the lives of people. Keep in the back of your mind that you are part of the story because your story is being written now. We don't see the end of our story, but God does. What is profound about the story in Chapter 2 is that the "heat turns up" on the Hebrews as the time for deliverance approaches. Who is doing the oppressing and what are the results? We should ask questions like: "If You love us, Lord why are we suffering"? How do we get through suffering? Can we "lean into" God when we are suffering?
Let's listen to Ric and Mary Joyner discussing chapter 2 part 1.

We are still in Chapter 1 and reading about some very brave Hebrew midwives who were told by Pharaoh to kill the Hebrew children. They disobey Pharaoh. WHOA, drama and tension heat up the story! They are called to provide an explanation to Pharaoh! Have you ever faced a fear that could end your life? The midwives did. But they chose the fear of the Lord over the fear of Pharaoh. They let God handle the outcome. At Biblestudycompany.com we feel it is easy to understand the fear of the Lord. It is not a cowering fear; it is the “fear to offend Him”. In this case, the midwives were protecting God’s Children from a wicked man. When things look the darkest, God is in control and we can learn either to complain, blame or turn and worship God for His future outcome. We want to live a praiseworthy life, so we respond by choosing the fear of the Lord and worship Him with thanksgiving in the midst of our fears and trials. We are also exploring the sufferings of the Hebrews and how they got into slavery.
We finish Exodus Chapter 1 with Pharaoh brutalizing the Hebrews. In addition, we are starting to look at several tools in our approach to scripture. A tool we love to use is immersion. Simply stated, we are immersing ourselves in the lives of the Hebrews. They will react like we would if we were threatened, for example. We are no longer viewing the biblical as stories for children, but real people in extraordinary situations for our instruction. By taking this approach the Bible now comes alive with richness, drama, and depth. Join us and tell us what you think in the blog or on Facebook.

Is Exodus a symbol of our walk with Christ? Ric and Mary Joyner of Biblestudycompany.com start our Exodus study asking God questions. As Pewsitters we are not trained in Bible study. Will God still speak to us through His Word? Why did the Hebrews go into slavery? How do we respond to God?
Let’s take a different approach to the bible. What if we change our focus to finding out what God’s agenda is for our lives? Are we not in a relationship with Him? The intimacy we have with people in our lives is in direct proportion to the time and knowledge of the person. The disciples had a close relationship with the Lord. We are called to be disciples so we can carry out His Will. And now we are going to open our bible study with Exodus Chapter 1 discussing the methods and principles we learned from Dr. Baruch Korman of Loveisrael.org. Join us in discovering intimacy with our Creator and how to respond.
What is the Kingdom of God? How do we find it? How should we respond?
Dr. Baruch of Loveisrael.org and Ric Joyner of Biblestudycompany.com are discussing this very topic on the latest Podcast for Pew-sitters. Coming to an understanding of the Kingdom of God is vitally important to us as believers. Christ came as a King and He said to Pilate, just before the crucifixion for our sins, that “My Kingdom is not of this world….” We can read a scripture and take the meaning for granted. At Loveisrael and Biblestudycompany, our mission is read scripture to find God’s agenda as our Creator. Thus, everything in this world is made by Him and for His glory. We want to see His plan and will for our lives so that we too can live a praiseworthy life to God. Why should we seek to find the Kingdom of God? Come with us as we ask these questions. Don’t forget to dialogue with us on our blog. https://www.biblestudycompany.com/blog

Ric and Mary Joyner discuss Exodus 25 and 26 where God commands Moses several times to follow the pattern. Ex:25:40 "See that you make them after the pattern for them, which was shown to you on the mountain." (NASB) The symbolism in this verse is plentiful, and you should take the time to dig into the symbols using biblestudycompany tools. But we see two things God does when building the tabernacle. He speaks to us from Heaven and then asks us to follow the pattern carefully. What is the pattern? We discuss what this pattern is during the podcast. Please join us. In fact, the reason for this podcast is to set the stage for studying Exodus with two pew-sitters; Ric and Mary.
We need to understand that studying scripture is a pattern given to us from Heaven. Ultimately Christ is the pattern for us to follow. But we begin the pattern with God speaking to us, and we need to have hearts willing to implement His truth in our lives. Look at Exodus 3 and God moving to draw Moses. He was unwilling to take on the role God gave him at the burning bush, but now in Exodus 25-26, we see Moses being careful to follow the pattern. Listen to the podcast and see what you think.
Can we pay close attention to what God says because we were all made to serve Him? We are His creation. Many scriptures verify this truth. Can we become skillful workmen and women in studying the bible? Is our heart willing? Can we be honest enough to admit we might not want the task? Or are unsure of ourselves? What if we have tried and got nothing out of the bible? Or there is too much to learn? Whatever the reason for not studying, will you join us and be willing? Ask the Lord to help you, we did, and we are changed in unexpected ways.

Exodus is a key book to start our study of the bible using Bible Study Company tools. It shows the Hebrews believing in the Passover lamb and salvation from Egypt slavery and bondage. We learn that Egypt is the world system ruled by a Pharaoh who is bent on killing the Hebrews, stealing their labor and enslaving them harshly. This sounds like the "god of this world (the devil)" and what we face daily. Even if we ask Christ into our hearts, we will go into the wilderness after believing in the Messiah as the Passover lamb. Or will we? It was a choice to leave Egypt because God made the way and it is a choice for us to leave the world system. Exodus is symbolic in God's plan for us and what happens after we believe in the Passover Lamb. Christ is our Passover lamb. God is a promise keeping God.
Erin and Pete Janus are new to bible study and are coming into the podcast to learn. Grab your favorite beverage and open up biblestudycompany.com and study with us.
We will discover topics like: Why send the Hebrews into the wilderness? How bad IS the wilderness? How will we survive? What does Egypt mean? Some important metaphors develop: Souls, beit or house, Egypt, Wilderness, tent, complaining, manna etc. and how it helps us see God's agenda in our modern lives. Come join us as we explore how to study the bible and look for ways we can find God's agenda and then choose to live a praiseworthy life to Him. His Agenda not ours.
We are to be disciples of Christ and thus He is our Teacher. If we turn toward Him and ask Him for His agenda we open a whole new world where the bible invades our life. Trials and stresses all now make sense. Why? Because He is working to show us what is in us so we can grow for His purposes and to be used by Him. Come join Ric Joyner and Dr. Baruch Korman of Loveisrael.org discuss the basics of Bible study for Pew-Sitters.

Most of us are what we at Biblestudycompany.com call "pew-sitters". We are not professionals at studying scripture. Good news. The disciples weren't either. Did you know that when Christ sent us the Holy Spirit, He will teach us? Do you have to be an ancient languages expert? No! Do you need advanced degrees to study the bible? No! Biblestudycompany.com can research the languages and definitions and does all that for you with a click of a button or finger push. Join Ric Joyner interviewing Dr. Korman of Loveisrael.org to learn how to study the Bible and what methods work well. It takes a willing heart praying for the Holy Spirit to open up the Word to us. The Holy Spirit is sent to teach us and bring order into our lives through God's Word. Let's shift our focus from knowledge about the Bible to knowledge about Him and His agenda for our lives. Lord, we pray for your will to come. Come follow Jesus by studying His word!
We join Ric and Mary Joyner, and Erin and Peter Janus as they explain how God's Presence came into their lives after asking Christ to prove if He is the One True God. What happened next is extraordinary! Their conversion and ensuing trials, lead them to walk away from their life of all paths and run to a faith in Jesus Christ as their Savior. Erin and Pete realized that God's presence was so real that they could be making an ETERNAL mistake by staying with their all paths faith. Will you? We each have a choice. A journey awaits you!
Please share with others and if you have taken the challenge please share with us.
Growing up in church doesn’t guarantee a relationship with Christ. Here is a story of Erin and Pete Janus who grew up in Christian homes but found religion versus a relationship. Religion can be dry and not satisfying. So they sought after a more “universal” path which took them on a search that led them to many gods and religious experiences. Occult practices, positive thinking projection and the study of other eastern thought showed them that it led not to “enlightenment” but darkness. A simple question to God, that if He was real and that if Christ was the Son of God, brought a new and fresh revelation of who Christ really is. The awareness of God’s presence brought excitement and their realization that “all paths actually led away from the True God and His Son Jesus Christ”. Listen to Podcast 1 to see the build-up to the revelation, how Erin challenged God and how He responded to her sincere prayer and the startling changes that they both experienced. Praying Christian parents can have hope for their adult children.
In the Gospel of John 14:1-11 Christ said: “I am the Way the Truth and the Life and no one comes to the Father but through me...”

Ric and Mary Joyner of Bible Study Company take you on a journey of discovery. Can we depend solely on God? What does that mean? What about people and churches? Churches can wound people. People wound people. Is that something God wants for His people? We are studying Scripture to find out what pleases God and act on that. We aren’t looking for formulas. Performance and formula-driven people fill churches and companies. Is God looking for performers? We are all broken pottery. By spending time with the Lord, we get filled to the brim and then we “leak” out to the world around us. Ric tends toward formulas and performance for approval and Mary is grounded in the knowledge that she is loved because she is part of her organic family. You are part of God’s organic family! He is looking for a relationship with us. Grab your favorite cup of “joe,” or your favorite beverage. We can travel together because God is not a formula! He is a deep relationship. Let us know what you think!
