The Midwest Mami is a hybrid - media anthology from the perspective of a Midwestern Latina. It serves as a platform to elevate a nonconventional Midwestern narrative and paint a more accurate portrait of the Twin Cities, as well as honor the work of others who are carving out similar spaces.
The purpose of this show is to dissect topics surrounding POC excellence; including travel, pop culture, living as a creative with intersecting identities, and queerness through a femme lens. Acting not only as a series but as a platform, the podcast aims to engage the community through digital environments to hold deeper discussions on acknowledging holistic views of the Midwest and the individuals living in the region.
