Assess how much you give today, and to what causes. What percentage of your income is it? Set a stretch goal to increase this.
Jesus says giving generously can lead to a “life that really is life.” Describe this true life and how it differs from this one.

If the commandments are scaffolding to help in the construction of a “new you”, what’s the most difficult part of the job right now? In other words, which part of the “new you” is God having the most difficulty building?
Someone once said, "If you find a perfect church, don’t join it; you’ll ruin it!". If you aren't already part of a church, what characteristics will you look for in an imperfect christian community?
"Which of the five “looks” of communion do you find most meaningful, and which one is hard for you to imagine?"
When have you worshipped before? When you worship, do you easily forget any of the four reasons above? How can you add them?
Use the Lord’s Prayer as a model for your own prayers. Write out a personal prayer after each line below:
Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. Forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us. Save us from the time of trial and deliver us from evil. For the kingdom, the power, and the glory are yours now and for ever. Amen.
