At just 15 years old, Aidan Burke professionally known as 'Burkie', hailing from Bandon, Ireland, is making waves as a hip-hop artist with a purpose.

Burkie's music is deeply rooted in his personal experiences. In 2022 while his mother was in the ICU in CUH, the loss of a close friend to suicide inspired him to write this track.

As a heartfelt tribute to the loss of his friend, Rían De Brún, "We Ain't Mad at Ya" was released on his 1st year anniversary.

Recorded at M.5 sound studio with COCO, Burkie's music is a testament to his passion and dedication. Collaborating with N'D which added an emotional vocal hook, taking the song to the next level.

Burkie and his father, David, shared their story on the Two Norries podcast, advocating for suicide prevention and mental health awareness.

James and Timmy had the pleasure of speaking with Fr Peter McVerry who is an Irish Roman Catholic priest and founder of the Peter McVerry Trust, notable for battling homelessness in Ireland.

Hear his story of how he began his trust and since then he has helped helped more than 3,600 homeless people in Dublin alone and In 2022, the charity worked with over 12,000 people and was active in 28 local authorities across Ireland.

Sinead talks with James and Timmy about her condition and challenges she has faced and how she has never stopped to overcoming adversity to achieve great things.

Sinead only has 5% vision and is registered as legally blind. She has two PhD’s, is a qualified lawyer and lectures on the topics of disability law and policy.

She is also an athlete who has competed and represented Ireland at ultra-distances and is a double Guinness World Record holder.

In January 2017, Sinead achieved the Guinness World Record for the first blind person to run 7 marathons on 7 continents within 7 days.

Sinead also is the first Irish female to compete in the World Marathon Challenge.

Gary who is from Toxteth, was one of the first British born people to be affected by the Thalidomide medical disaster of the 1950s and 60s.


Thalidomide was a medication given to women to treat morning sickness, that resulted in thousands of children across the world being born with disabilities; many dying soon after birth or early in life.


Gary, now aged 62, was told he would be lucky to live until he was 30.

Sascha Roos is an author and dyslexia specialist supporting people with the challenges of dyslexia for over 15 years. She has a well-established private practice, and an approach that encourages the strengths and abilities of the dyslexic individual. Sascha is a member of the Dyslexia Association of Ireland, the Institute of Guidance Counsellors and the Society of Authors. She has had several articles on dyslexia published by national dyslexia associations, including Britain, Australia and Ireland, as well as a blog on study skills for dyslexic students for a leading study skills website.

Sascha continues to work to transform the negative attitudes towards dyslexia, to raise expectations and to change the language around this learning difference.

Her guide book for parents, ‘At Home with Dyslexia: A Parent’s Guide to Supporting your Child’, was published by UK publisher Little, Brown Book Group in August 2018. ‘At Home with Dyslexia’ is available at bookshops internationally and online.

During the conversation Aaron speaks of his struggles with Ulcerative colitis, how it affected his day to day life and how he manages to perform as a top athlete with the condition while taking no medication.
