Today's guest is Maggie Cheung. Maggie was born in Hong Kong and moved to the US with her family when she was four. She grew up helping her parents' Chinese takeout restaurant, which opened 364 days in the year. Her family instilled the practical values of hard work, savings, and frugality which she has carried throughout her life.
As a career, she worked as an auditor in the Banking Industry for over 12 years and in early 2018 she made the decision to leave Wall Street so she can focus on her young family. During this period, Maggie took time to research and learn the different types of real estate investing where she discovered the power of real estate syndication. After performing her own due diligence on the operator and market, she took a calculated risk-based approach and invested in the first syndication deal.
