Kip Adams presented live at the Upper Genesee River Branch of NDA back in September. This was a very timely discussion to remind all of us the basics of deer behavior and biology. Often times we overthink the process and need to be reminded that deer have certain needs and their behavior will become much more obvious when you focus on that biology and their needs. Enjoy this discussion and hopefully it helps you connect some dots this fall to connect with a nice whitetail!

We had the chance to sit down with Chad Sylvester while we were at the River Bottom Arrow fest back in May and had a great chat with the head honcho over at Exodus Outdoors Gear. I have heard many discussions with Chad on other podcasts and found that he was just as genuine as he seems in these other chats. We didnt talk much about there product, rather what has gotten us both into more adventure style hunting and finding that adventure not just through shooting the big one but the experiences along the way with great people. https://exodusoutdoorgear.com/

I hope you enjoy the chat and encourage you to check out there products. I purchased a Cell cam and solar panel from them that day and have been very impressed with the performance so far. Support good people, thats the name of the game.

He jumps on quick to share the story of the kill and we discuss how the season has gone so far and what we expect over the final month in the woods. We are headed to PA the end of the week for our annual deer camp which we are very excited about. Lastly we dive into some thoughts on current topics in our social news feeds about impliments of choice and desired changes to hunting regs here in NY. Spoiler alert, I think we are wasting our time and energy on the argumentative side of this discussion and we need to come together as hunters to support what we love and defend our rights/priviledges to do so. The Deer Hunter Podcast has been one of our favorite podcasts over the last couple years and we were excited to get Kevin on the show this week. One of the best things about Kevin and his show, is that he isn't scared to jump into topics outside the hunting space and share his thoughts which for us has been extremely valuable. In a time where its tough to know what to listen to and trust, people like Kevin and other podcast platforms are vital to having open discussion and an open mind in this world we live in today. So in todays show we really don't discuss much about hunting in this show, we spent time on the why podcasting and what podcasts we are listening to, discuss current events such as renewable energy and a little bit of current gov health policy. Hope you enjoy the discussion and look forward to having Kevin on again to dig into some deer hunting. Thanks for listening and give Kevin's show a listen if you haven't already.

It may be July, and your enjoying working on your tan while drinking some adult beveys, but don't loose sight that hunting season is quickly approaching. This year, maybe more than ever, it is important that you get the supplies you need before you get caught up into the supply chain log jam. Jim Dagostino and Billy get together for a quick chat about what items you need to be focusing on right now to make sure you are ready for this upcoming hunting season. Enjoy and hopefully this gets your mind in gear to handle some needs right now so your not caught with your pants down come September 1st.

This week we stay in the summer mode and focus on the local bass fishing scene. Our guess this week is Greg Bent, the Director of the Empire Team Trail, a Bass Fishing trail that competes around NY and is officially sanctioned to be able to send teams to the B.A.S.S Team Championship. Greg was a great interview and a guy we hope to have on again in the near future. We sat down live with the gang at the total archery challenge to enjoy a few adult beverages and talk some hunting. Game plan was a BS session and that is what we got. We dove into a bit of everyone's background, approach to 3D archery shoots, benefits of TAC, and a heavy discussion of Mobile vs. Set stands. This discussion was surrounded by inappropriate interjections from group and some pretty solid laughs and moments we will all remember for a lifetime.
