It's time for another episode of the Hungry Cliff podcast! We've been doing this for ten years now, apparently. This week we're catching up with everybody's personal lives, eating more Oreos, and talking about actual and hypothetical film and television adaptations of popular science fiction and fantasy properties. Will the Oreos be good? How much source material will be sacrificed to the Almighty Feature? How many clicks does it take to get to the center of a cookie? Find out whether we, and therefore you, know the answers to any of these questions on this episode of the Hungry Cliff podcast!

She recently joined Tony on a road trip across the country which acted as the catalyst for various hijinks (or high-jinks, for those listeners born before 1900). We'll discuss these hijinks today, as well as family trees, baby stories, and L.A.'s immersive theater scene. Who broke the microphone mount? Who almost missed a finish line photo? What is Tony's idea of the best Italian restaurant? Learn some of the answers to all of these questions and more on this episode of the Hungry Cliff podcast!

Be sure to stay tuned until the end, because it's probably a lot better than the beginning. What edible items has Tony stashed away for months? What important item was lost at a nearby apothecary? What is the true meaning of family? Is Pedro having a boy or a girl? Or is his wife? Find out the answers to at least one of these questions on this exciting episode of the Hungry Cliff podcast.

It's another Japan week on the Hungry Cliff podcast! After a two-week hiatus, the team is back together to discuss (most of) their recent travels through the Far East. As usual, most of the conversation revolves around food: who made it, who ate it, where they ate it, and what they ate. The returning travelers managed to bring back a few food items that the group will sample over the next few weeks, some a little weirder than others. Did we mention that you should eat at Tsukiji Sushi Sen? We did? Find out who gets a little jumpy around foreign food (and more!) on this episode of the Hungry Cliff podcast! This week on the Hungry Cliff podcast, the team discusses the past and future of social media technology. Pedro talks about the dog he doesn't own. David brings in another flavor of Pringles. Matthew writes the show notes. Tony stirs the pudding. Everybody confronts their inner demons as usual. How much drama can we introduce to a relatively dry topic? Who will die after listening to this podcast? Who needs a better alibi? We'll answer all of these questions, and several more that should never have been asked, on this week's episode of the Hungry Cliff podcast. Matthew did not write this.

This week on the Hungry Cliff podcast, the team has an unlikely opportunity to sample a non-Oreo food item. Do they like it because it tastes good, or because it's not an Oreo? We give our opinions, but first we have to decide how objective we actually are. Who knows they're right, who thinks they're right, and who is right? P-Man Spectacular? Ocular interruption, olfactory apathy, and auditory endorsement.
This week, the Hungry Cliff team discusses odd odors, performing arts etiquette, and astronomical events. We also break from tradition in no way by trying yet another novelty Oreo flavor. Who has the best and/or worst sense of smell? Why was Pluto demoted? How much should it cost to be rude to someone? Do split frosting colors actually mean anything, or are they just a trick of food coloring? We'll try to answer these questions, and more, all on this episode of the Hungry Cliff podcast! Professor Noggin says you should listen.

This week on the Hungry Cliff podcast, the team is joined again by Tony's mom and sister. It's time for another round of taste testing, and everyone is delighted to learn that there are no Oreos involved (although there is a surprising amount of punching). In a desperate attempt to clear our show notes backlog, we finally manage to talk about some current releases. Who enjoyed San Andreas? Who cried during Inside Out? Who hasn't seen any movies recently, voiding his or her ability to participate in the discussion at all? Find out on this episode of the Hungry Cliff podcast! Spoiler Alert for the movies we discuss.

It's time for another episode of the Hungry Cliff podcast! This week, we sat down for another interview with Josh and Maria Barker of Sister Brother. In a nutshell, the privacy scarf makes a second appearance, and we try (mostly successfully) to take some publicity photos again. We also chat about recent trends in Japanese mascot employment, creepy theme park reincarnations, and coffee shop artists. Who will make the most dad jokes? Where can you find a holographic pop star? Whose apartment provides the best protection from snowstorms? Find out the answers to all these questions and more this week with the Hungry Cliff team! Special thanks to DeeSserts and Tony’s Aunt Dee for providing the delicious cupcakes this week!

After a brief hiatus, the Hungry Cliff team returns! This week, we have an interview with songwriter, musician, and all-around great guy Gary Baker. We traveled to his studio in Muscle Shoals, Alabama, and got to hang out with him and his engineers. He was kind enough to take a break from his real work to sit down with us for a few minutes and record a podcast segment. Thanks, Gary! Also in this episode, we talk about the world's longest concerts, the world's longest fermented garlic recipes, and Oreos. Did we finally find a decent flavor? Tasting the broadway lights, hearing the color of embarrassment and smelling the sound of two tone curtains.
This week we are enlightened by the wisdom of yet another guest, David's brother Marcus Houston. He settles in nicely for his first guest host gig and surprisingly doesn't abandon us during topics such as Mickey Mouse shirts, musicals, Tony's flubs, Pedro's water incident and Jessica's long-distance chomping. He even fills the intellect void left by the Biggers' absence with a delicious conversation on synesthesia. So buckle up your size 26 waist and get ready for another Hungry Cliff podcast.

This week, the Hungry Cliff team finally manages to talk about the Consumer Electronics Show (CES, if you're in a hurry). Drones, massive televisions, and the Internet of Things feature prominently. We'll also chat about some other technological goings-on that maybe aren't quite as close to market. Jessica and David bring in another round of things to try, all of them better than Oreos. Finding Emu, It Could Happen Emu, and Out of Emu.
This week, the Hungry Cliff team fails to discuss CES 2015 as planned, instead becoming distracted by Meryl Streep, emu turkey legs, and punchline health. Someone falls for Patrick Schwartzenegger, someone brings in some nasty orange-flavored ~~toothpaste~~ marshmallow in a tube, and everybody has to eat it. If you were expecting to hear about consumer electronics, you're out of luck. If you want to learn how to pronounce béquilles, you've come to the right place. Like we always say here, there's a dollop for everyone.

As a public service, we're providing a variety of prefabricated on-demand countdowns to the New Year at various intervals during the podcast. You know you don't have anything better to do while you wait for 2015, so you might as well listen to this year's final Hungry Cliff podcast episode and join in the space rave. Did you miss any 2014 episodes? It's also a great time to review our backlog, or perhaps treat yourself to some merch. We practically guarantee that nobody will recognize it!

Merry Christmas from Hungry Cliff! It's that time of year again... time to bring out the irrationally sweet confections, the ugly holiday sweaters, and the family tabletop games. It's also time to settle things with the Elf on the Shelf. This week the Hungry Cliff team talks about how they've handled the holiday season during Christmases past and how they intend to handle Christmases future. Tune in to find out where the sugar high ends and the compelling conversation begins. Spoiler: the sugar high never ends. And you don't wanna miss Matthew's 90-second Spontaneous Story of Christmas at the end of the show.

An elfant never forgets. The greatness of a man is not in how much elf he acquires. The most difficult thing in life is to know your elf.
This week on Hungry Cliff: movie sequels, terrifying holiday traditions, and MMORPGs.Have you ever wondered what Jessica dreams about? You, as well as the rest of the Hungry Cliff team, are about to find out... whether you want to or not. We'll also almost unanimously agree on how addictive (or recreational) certain video games can be, and acceptable ways to relieve stress socially. Is it possible for an entire podcast to be schizophrenic? Find out in (or on) this week's Hungry Cliff podcast.

This week on the Hungry Cliff Podcast, we're joined by musical siblings Maria and Josh Barker of the accurately named group Sister Brother. Tune in to learn more about their interests, cake preferences, and vocal proclivities. Plus, a Hungry Cliff first... live music in the studio! We'll also hear about the usual cavalcade of random topics usually covered in an average episode. On top of everything else, it's another birthday episode, but you'll have to listen to find out whose. Just kidding-- it's Pedro's. Many guests, many topics, many minutes of your time occupied fatuously... this week on Hungry Cliff!

Exciting extraterrestrial events, extended entertainment experiences, and excessive eating expenses.
This week, a slightly smaller Hungry Cliff team discusses people hurling stuff at other stuff millions of miles away in space, unusually high restaurant bills, and new options for streaming music on the Internet. It's a slow news week to be sure, but there's still a good chance to hear something interesting on this week's episode. Listen and (maybe) learn.

This week, join the Hungry Cliff team as they discuss French poetry, hypothetical cookies, and post office non sequiturs. Did you know you can make your phone read to you? If we have the technology for that, then surely modifying past events is also within our grasp, or at least within the grasp of everyone's favorite fruit-themed computer conglomerate. This transfer speed is like a ghost boy riding a space elevator.
This week, for the first time in a while, the Hungry Cliff team talks about tech topics, including an exciting new world record and a method for extracting audio from silent video. Tony and Pedro chat about dream states, Matthew and Mona describe their visit to Clermont's own The Presidents Hall of Fame, and David describes how attractive he is to fish. That's really creepy.

This week, the Hungry Cliff team chats about old internet sensations, dental hygiene, and guilty(?) pleasures. Is it more important to floss or remove your contact lenses overnight? Listen to find out why you should always read an airline's contract of carriage. We also celebrate the long-awaited arrival of Matthew's wife Mona. Exciting!

It's kinda orangey to most people, takes its time to warm up, and it's only 3200K.
This week we might be Matt-less, but that doesn't stop us from opening up a whole bag of worms. We talk decorating ideas with LEDs, Comic-Con 2014, grasshopper attack maneuvers, and yet another awkward work experience. Thanks again to DeeSserts for the amazing chocolate pops! Like them on Facebook to show your support. So put your tray tables up and your seat back in the full upright position. Matt and Mona... this one's for you.

Take some time for tea as we present a forte podcast for devoted fans.
Tony has finally done it. He's brought practically his entire family into the studio for some kind of reunion or something, maybe. It's standing room only as the Hungry Cliff extended team discuss old web sites, legos, travel experiences, and how not to fix a roof. We all wish a happy birthday to Andrew this week by trying more (potentially) terrible cookies. This is as close as you can get to having dinner at Tony's parents' house!

I ain't no rat, I'm not a cabman, and I don't need water!
This week, the Hungry Cliff team is joined by father-to-most-of-us Rick Silanskas and his daughter, sister-to-most-of-us Nadia, ostensibly to discuss the new Planet of the Apes film, but conversation soon turns to Andrew's recent (hilariously awkward) wedding experiences. One day he'll write a book about it, but until then, you'll have to listen to the podcast to find out what happened. And if you're not afraid of the Cat King, let us know if you want a bag of cats. Free bag of cats! Meow, see?

We have a winner! One of our listeners has won a partial Hungry Cliff wardrobe and a guest host spot on an upcoming show. Is it you? Listen to find out! In other news, it's been a big week for entertainment events: Pedro, Matthew, and Michael talk about the hours of tabletop gaming they experienced at Dice Tower Con 2014, and Tony, David, and Matthew discuss the Vincent Laforet Directing Motion Tour. Have you ever purchased a superticket? Maybe you will after you listen to this show. Or not... it doesn't really matter. Special thanks to DeeSserts and my Aunt Dee for providing the delicious cookies this week! Plus, a little treat for everyone at the very end of the show. You won't want to miss it!

Take a brawl fall and a chop drop before you hit the ground and pound.
This week the Hungry Cliff team welcomes Pedro's father Pedro Senior, continuing our tradition of inviting family members as guest hosts on this podcast. Good times are had as we discuss mainstream sports (a bit of a departure for this podcast, sure), the upcoming Dice Tower Convention, various methods of preserving cadavers for entertainment purposes, Broadway, and a long list of other topics. Movies filled with too much love, containers filled with too much soda, and gas tanks filled with too much air.
This week the Hungry Cliff team conducts a taste test on several new(ish) cookie varieties. Somehow the conversation turns to other food and various food-related mishaps. Also, pursuant to our founding principle of providing timely commentary about current events, we finally talk about the Tony Awards and a two-year-old piece of tech. We really want someone to win the HCFW4U contest, so email Tony with your answers! Next week we might be forced to take drastic measures with this thing!

LeBron explodes at local gas station, MB reaches [CC] near the TP, and a free bag of ice with the purchase of any value meal.
This week, the Hungry Cliff podcast team sifts through another pile of random thoughts. Why is it called the BMT? Of what does the diet of large lake-bound bass consist? Who watched the Tony Awards? Where are restroom-themed restaurants really located? When will somebody win our contest? How many miles must a car drive before someone should take a commemorative photograph of its odometer? How can we make more people read these podcast descriptions? Tune in for all this and an obscure Japanese culinary reference.

Eleven cats in four weeks, ten updates in four months, and twenty-two discs in four years.
The Hungry Cliff podcast team finally has some tech to talk this week with Apple's annual WWDC! There are a couple of important birthdays and anniversaries coming up (but no quinceañeras, thank you). Also, something about shoes. There is still no contest winner, so listen to podcasts 19 through 22 if you haven't already. Last week we handed out a pretty big clue, too. There's no business like talking about show business this week on the Hungry Cliff Podcast. We chat about movies, theater, and television, as well as our respective capacities to remain conscious during their presentation. It seems we've taken some awfully expensive naps over the years. Ben and Jerry fight custardy battle over core values; leprepros and leprechauns; liberty and just ice for all.
Shocking developments! Crazy business! The Hungry Cliff 4 Wordz 4 U The Contest conclusion makes the team take serious sides. Find out how things shake out in this reasonably dramatic episode. We'll also hear from a guest host we haven't heard from in a while. And thanks to Reggie and Dean... they know what they did. In other news, Oliver finally makes an appearance (although not on this show). Congrats to Pedro and his wife on the arrival of their new son!

Flaming seahorses menace infants, familiar software muddles interface, and finally someone makes it.
The Hungry Cliff Podcast turns 21 this week! We don't celebrate it or anything... we just wanted you to know. This episode, we talk Holmes, tomes, phonemes, and phones. Find out what Jessica really thinks about iMovie and whether anyone else on the team is quick with child (spoiler: come on, just listen to the podcast). Pedro conducts another board game review, Tony says some stuff, and more things happen. What more could you want? Oh right, the contest word. We have that, too.

This week on Hungry Cliff, enjoy a bit of the usual and a bit of the unusual. Unusually, we welcome back a special guest host for the first time in years. What profound universal truths she will impart to us? What program topics will we be forced to jettison, and will anyone care? How would John Travolta put it? Don't forget to listen for the 4W4U contest word! Hint: it isn't "guwomen".

Bank fraud, music fraud, and relationship fraud.
This week the Hungry Cliff team talks about an addition to the Hungry Cliff family and attempts to figure out who Pedro really is. We also loudly disagree on the specific definition of musical theft. Learn the identities of the first Hungry Cliff contest winners and find out why we call something "the apple of our eye". We speak with special guest and ex-con Joe Knight to learn how to pull off the ultimate Valentine's Day... alone. And also many more cheerful things.

We're BOLDER! We like to rock! How are we supposed to know?!
20 years of Hungry Cliff history in 20 mins! Plus, 'Would of, Could of, Should of... those songs that could've been hits... and aren't deep cuts'.
Obviously, the Hungry Cliff team has been professionally trained in the art of broadcasting in various foreign countries. BUT, we're finally revealing EXACTLY where they've been. How did Andrew and Tony start working together... and why? PLUS, Andrew looks at why record labels only release certain songs as 'singles' and reveals a few songs that should've been/could've been hits with our very first 'Would of, Could of, Should of... those songs that could've been hits... and aren't deep cuts' segment. Tom Cruise is finally tall enough, Michelle Branch loves Kid Rock and David breaks into the construction biz (all thanks to his knowledge of Jazz)!
You've spent the last 3 weeks pulling your hair out over exams, you now officially have $80,000 in student loans AND you live at home with your parents (cough Andrew). So, what are you actually planning on doing with that college degree? David explains how he's been using his Bachelor's Degree in 'Music and Jazz Studies' to further his haunted house construction career! Tony demands us to look at Tom Cruise ONLY if he's on real 70mm film. Plus, Andrew talks about shooting 78 bands in 48 hours and reads a few emails from our Hungry Cliff fans (Hungry Cliff'tonauts? Hungry Cliff'ians? Hungry Cliff'toids'?)!

John Malkovich gives us the joy of unbridled laughter, 20 years for a follow-up album is just about the right amount of time and Andrew's legal problems are finally over.
Yes, your eyes didn't deceive you. This is not a "Special" episode. I can understand your disappointment coming off not one, but two "Specials" in a row but if every one of them is special than none of them are special. That said, we might have scaled back the length and impressive unseen visual gags but we definitely didn't scale back the witty banter. We are joined by David and Jessica Houston to discuss numerous unimportant and unrelated topics including Parks and Recreation, Nelson's new album 'Lightning Strikes Twice', and, for all the neigh-sayers out there that tell us we don't cover enough animal films, the Diane Lane, John Malkovich horse racing movie 'Secretariat'. Oh, and there's yet another surprise announcement. Why not? So don't rein in the fun because it's time to horse around with yet another Hungry Cliff Podcast. Spotify becomes an American citizen, Matthew has a surprise (it's important but don't forget to pick up milk on the way home) while Andrew peels the onion.
It's our 2nd podcast special in a row... that's right, the 10th (episode) Anniversary Special!!! Celebrate with us as we preview the new Spotify Beta, an unlimited streaming music service, hear from Matthew about a surprise commitment and finally reach deep into our souls and reveal a little more about what makes us tick. It's a rare event to have all three main hosts, Tony, Andrew and Matthew, in the studio at the same time so we didn't want to waste the opportunity. Why is Matthew working with Hungry Cliff, does he even care (and if he does, does it really matter), where does Andrew's ego sleep at night and can Tony settle for second best and can Tony settle for second best and can Tony settle for second best? All these questions and more may be answered in this week's heart-wrenching episode of the Hungry Cliff Podcast. (SPOILER WARNING for those who don't want to know anything about us.)

Apple makes editors cry, Kevin Bacon makes superheroes die but a little ice cream always makes it better.
What a week it's been. Apple released the new Final Cut Pro X and the pros aren't happy. We discuss our first week using it and see if it really is cursing the ground editors once stood. We also throw in a bit of comic relief with reviews of 'The Green Lantern' and 'X-Men: First Class' since there's only so much drama one can take. You can't work with children, you can't work with animals but you should work with Stanley Tucci.
Another week, another round of entertaining gibberish. From Jim Carrey in 'Mr. Popper's Penguins' to Stanley Tucci's dognapping days, this week's podcast has it all (and if by all you mean the 13 diverse topics we discuss, than yes, it has it all). We even take a virtual trip to France to drop in on Woody Allen's new flick 'Midnight in Paris'. Plus, Andrew finally has some to time tell us where Chris Sligh has been hiding since his American Idol appearance. Oh, and we even got a little help from our first official guests! Is J.J. Abrams too young, is Steven Spielberg too old and is Andrew just too wrong?
With two of our favorite filmmakers collaborating on a passion project, we couldn't help but dive head first into the new movie 'Super 8'. And since this topic is too big for just Andrew and me we had to bring in a pro, our uncle Vince Silanskas of Altair 6 Films, to join in the discussion of what some say is a new classic for our generation. But did it live up to the hype and bring back that missing magic of the movies? Plus, we still managed to squeeze in a little Apple since they've had a very exciting week introducing iOS 5, Mac OS X Lion and the new iCloud. So jump into your DeLorean, accelerate to 88 MPH and click play on your Walkman as we travel back to '80s NostalgiaVille for this week's podcast! Is 3D dying, are movie theatres dead and is Google immortal?
Our minds have been filled with many thoughts this week (for a change) and, lucky for you, a few of those thoughts escaped into this podcast. How many times have you had a bad experience at a movie theater recently? Well, if you're like us it's probably more than you care to admit and frankly we're fed up with it. And thanks to 3D it's been getting worse! Ty Burr of the Boston Globe is trying to get the word out so we thought we'd help him and add a little ourselves. Plus, Google tries to one-up Facebook with its new Plus 1 button and Michael J. Fox finally tells me 'The Secret of My Success'. Thanks Mike. All this and more is just a click of the play button away.

The ground breaks for Apple and Intel, the sky turns to Grey and the Thunderbolt rolls.
This week we discuss the surprisingly unknown artist Skylar Grey and how she has been a shaking up the music industry. We also shed a little light on why Hungry Cliff exists and what the future holds. Plus, we’re finally allowed to put on our geek hats and dig into new Apple products including iMacs, Thunderbolt and Final Cut Pro X. There are updates, too, on the Rock for S.E.A.T.H. cause and how you can continue to help make a difference. Oh, and let us know if our barksmanship has improved. We tried.

J.J. Abrams finds a new island, Zooey Deschanel grows smaller and Steven Spielberg battles himself.

This week we discuss Duncan Jones' new flick 'Source Code' starring Jake Gyllenhaal, Michelle Monaghan, Vera Farmiga and the man who doesn't do enough children's films, Jeffrey Wright. We also uncover the origins of a new country gem, The Band Perry, and learn why Harrison Ford can never work with Darren Aronofsky. Spoiler alert for those who haven't seen the film. Hosts: Tony Silanskas and Andrew Silanskas; Intro and outro music: Pedro Mendoza
This week we review the new Vin Diesel and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson action flick "Fast Five" and discover why you should always get your dessert first. We also take a moment to introduce ourselves, since it'd be inconsiderate of us not to seeing that it is our first podcast. Spoiler alert for those who haven't seen the film.
