About Marva:
Public Speaker, Author, President of Black Employee Network, and creator of Black Link Magazine, Marva considers herself to be a creative. Because of her love for writing, people and speaking, she was destined to do what she loves doing and that is helping others to be their best. She does this in multiple fashions: she conducts a YouTube channel and allows individuals to share their success stories (from the bottom to the top), she is the creator of “Rise Queen” Women Empowerment, and she manages and runs her own magazine created to build up the black culture, she sits on the board of directors for a black built non-profit (Community Caring Corporation) where they focus on the underserved, and finally, she loves networking and collaboration. Black Link Magazine offers an advertising platform, features, and mentions along with advertising slots on their website. The magazine is available across the globe digitally and physically. Black Link Magazine is insistent on ensuring that we speak to the stero-types that people place on us; “angry black women”, “gangsta thug black men”. We are human and we matter. We are brilliant and educated and we have success stories that, for some, no one would have ever known of, unless they shared through interviewing or advertising with Black Link Magazine. Marva has interviewed the everyday individual to the celebrity status individuals such as Carrie Bernans who was a cast member on the high profiled moving Black Panther, LA/NY Fashion Stylist and niece of the late Billie Holiday, Andrea Ward, Growing Up Hip Hop cast member and brother to Swizz Beatz, Andre King and Ready to Love reality cast member Anthony Stubbs. As you can see Black Link Magazine is well on its way. We are the “right magazine at the right time”. We take care of our people by doing what is right even when no one is watching.

About Our Guest Raheem DeVaughn:
Although some have compared his smooth vocals to the likes of music legends such as D’Angelo and Donny Hathaway, all while having the swag of a modern day Marvin Gaye, Raheem DeVaughn has carved out his own place amongst R&B royalty as the “Love King” of the Neo-Soul universe. Raheem’s impressive career has been a living testimony to the benefits of dedication and commitment. Now entering his third decade at the top of the industry, Raheem’s raw talent has led his loyal fan base on an incredible musical journey ever since his soulful voice found the ears of the masses on his debut album, The Love Experience in 2005.
So much for a sophomore slump - DeVaughn followed up the initial success of his debut album by topping it with his second project, Love Behind the Melody in 2008. The album, which featured classic hits such as the Grammy nominated “Woman” and “Customer” was one of the most critically acclaimed albums of the year and launched Raheem into superstardom – reaching number one on the Top 10 R&B/Hip-Hop albums chart and peaking at number 5 on the US Billboard 200 chart. In addition to the amazing response, Love Behind The Melody yielded two BET Award wins and two Grammy nominations.
Since then, the self-proclaimed “R&B hippie neo soul Rockstar” has produced other gold standard albums, including the critically acclaimed release titled The Love & War Masterpiece in 2010, which earned a Grammy Nomination for Best R&B Album in 2011.
Following the release, Raheem decided to become an independent artist. In 2013, he released, A Place Called Loveland, that garnered notable singles, “Love Connection” and “Maker Of Love” in collaboration with Boney James. In 2015, Raheem returned with the well-received Love Sex Passion album. The album featured fan favorites and chart-topping singles such as “Queen,” “Temperatures Rising,” and “All I Know (My Heart).”
Still going stronger than ever, the gifted singer/songwriter has been in high demand – releasing his sixth and seventh studio albums, respectively, Decade of a Love King, in October 2018 and The Love Reunion, nine months later – each featuring their own smash Billboard hit singles “Don’t Come Easy” and “Just Right,” (Top 5 and Top 10, respectively). Both records gave Raheem’s fans more of his vintage, smooth sound, while providing a new collection of timeless, sexy bedroom anthems for couples everywhere.
In addition, due to the triumphs of the albums and their smash hit singles, Raheem DeVaughn landed at #7 on the Top 10 Most Played Urban AC Artists for 2019, ranking as the #1 male Independent Urban AC Artist Of The Year, according to Mediabase. He also was recently nominated for Outstanding Male Artist at the NAACP Image Awards in March 2019. In 2020 The Love King of R&B, Raheem DeVaughn joined SRG/ILS Group as the new Director of A&R.
The current state of civil and social unrest during the middle of a global pandemic has inspired Raheem to respond. He has always shared the sentiment that music must reflect the times. Therefore, he has collaborated with the notable producer collective known as The Colleagues to present his 8th Studio Release titled, What A Time To Be In Love. The lead single titled, “Marvin Used To Say,” honors the vision of one of his musical influence and those fighting for social equality.
Raheem is a man of action and of the people. He recognizes the need to reflect the change he wants to see. Raheem has become world renown for his philanthropy efforts as much as his work behind the mic. While today’s social climate has just now begun to influence some to get involved with promoting change, Raheem’s charity work has been serving as an instrument of hope and empowerment for years. In 2011, the District Of Columbia recognized and awarded Raheem DeVaughn the Key To The City for his commitment to service. In 2014, he founded The LoveLife Foundation – a foundation dedicated to improving lives through social, educational and wellness development. Within, as well as outside of LoveLife, Raheem believes in and fights for causes dealing with issues related to women’s rights, domestic violence prevention, education, and HIV/AIDS awareness in partnership with the AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF) among others. Raheem and The LoveLife Foundation sprang into action during the global COVID-19 pandemic by feeding first responders throughout the Washington, DC metropolitan area. In addition, he collaborated with legendary rappers, Darryl McDaniels aka DMC of Run DMC and Doug E. Fresh on a song appropriately titled, “Behind The Mask” as part of the Hip Hop Public Health initiative to encourage the use of masks to stop the spread of the pandemic.
Undeniable talent. Selfless Service. Unconditional Love. Like love, Raheem believes that music is a vibration to elevate the consciousness of the listener. As he operates from a place of authenticity, Raheem is and will continue to be an inspiration to people across the globe.

Hemingway's Own Shad Wave, new music out on Spinrilla "God Timing" https://spinrilla.com/mixtapes/shad-wave-god-timing
BIO: Educated Hood Comic IG: SENI_OH TWITTER: ComedianSeniOh Facebook: Comedian Seni Oh
About our guest:
I was born and raised in South Carolina, Hemingway to be exact, I’ve always been artistic. Some of my early hobbies consisted of drawing portraits of family photos around the house and recreating the cartoons seen in the comic strips of the local newspaper. Another hobby of mine was music. Inspiration from an older cousin led me to a program called Fruity Loops better known as FL Studio today. The rest is history. Once word got out that I was recording and making beats in my mother’s house, just about every up and coming rapper and singer in the city wanted to come record.
Coincidentally, my success in music led to me creating my own custom printing apparel company, Unchecked Apparel LLC. After mastering beat making and music production, my passion for graphic design became my focus. I purchased Adobe Photoshop and within a month’s time, I mastered the basics of it. I started designing mixtape covers, logos for myself and other businesses. A friend of mine noticed my skills and asked if I could make a design for his son’s birthday and his family’s reunion. I found a couple of birthday and family reunion t-shirts on Google just to see how they were designed and in a matter of days, I had the designs for both events ready to go. Six months later, I already designed custom t-shirts for over 8 birthdays, 2 family reunions, a couple of road signs for local businesses and more. That was the birth of Unchecked Apparel LLC.

March 2,1983 Coupe Deville aka Michael Todd Taylor was born in Columbus,Ohio. Soon after birth Michael was nearly adopted by his close family members. When Michael was 5 his mother met his stepfather in St. Louis,Mo. They lived in St. Louis until Michael was 13 where they then picked up everything and moved to Tucson,Arizona after Michael's real father passed away. Michael always had a passion for music at a young age. He was really into rock and loved writing poetry and decided to try out for a band but that never happened. In 2004 Michael moved in with his best friend John Castillo and his brother David Castillo. John also a hip-hop artist himself asked Michael to try out rapping. At first he really wasn't sure about it but liked the idea of playing with words and writing. John found a studio to rap at which was ran by a producer who called himself D-Mac and his label was called Platinum Trax Productions. At first it looked very promising but it all came to a quick end and in 2006 it was over and all of his music was gone with the label after it was shut down. In 2011 Michael was locked up for Attempted Armed Robbery. Released November 20,2013 he is back with a new sound to remind people that real good hip-hop does still exist. Loyalty over Royalty will be Coupe Devilles first Ep. With edgy lyrics gritty wordplay and a unique style of his own he looks to change the game and prove there are still great artists left.
