Good evening! Sorry it’s been a minute. We didn’t have a chance to record episodes before I went to Europe for a much-needed vacation. So we’re back with one of our favorite features: Fresh Eyes!
The rules for Fresh Eyes are simple: Take a much-loved horror movie and sit down and watch it like it was the first time. It really makes you notice things you maybe never saw before.

Sorry for the late post but I spent yesterday selling cool collectibles and signed books at a little local collector’s show here in town. Was making deals all day then had to pay attention to the family and listen to some tapes for a while, so I didn’t make it to the computer until a little while ago.

Man, what a crazy couple of weeks!
We did the Houston Horror Film Festival and it was super-awesome but totally insane. Let me tell you- I walked the soles off my shoes but Scott lapped everybody several times over. That dude is one hell of an event coordinator!
The next week was the Eastern Rim Convention over in Baytown and Scott was over there as well, helping out and repping the horror community.
So, here we are, two weeks late for a new episode. But that’s okay because we have so much fun at the conventions and events and that’s where we get to meet so many of you in person. There was definitely Scarydad stuff going on, hot though it is.

Last week was crappy. First, I got a flat tire. Then I got another flat tire the very next day.
Then Paul Reubens died.
You see, there are people and characters that are simply timeless.
Pee Wee Herman doesn’t age. He doesn’t get sick. And he most certainly doesn’t die of cancer. So yeah, last week sucked. Because all of those things that don’t happen… Well, they happened.
This was a hard one to get through. Au Revoir, Pee Wee.

Hello and happy Monday! In this week’s episode, hosts Billy and Scott discuss what makes a movie more 80’s than another movie. There’s a checklist, and one must check several of the boxes in order to qualify as Quintessentially Eighties. I’ll give you a hint- Ninjas is one of them. If your movie in the 80’s had ninjas, it qualifies. And if it doesn’t have ninjas, you should probably go somewhere quiet to reevaluate your life choices. Ninjas are awesome!

Greetings from the heart of the mothertruckin’ SUN!!! My indoor/outdoor thermometer is pretty much stuck on triple-digits while plants die, Saharan Dust is on a rampage and teamed up with Canadian forest fires to send giant middle fingers to pretty much everybody. Meanwhile, coastlines across the globe are being terrorized by an uptick in shark attacks. Orcas are sinking yachts, bears are kicking in doors of houses, and even bison are getting in on the action by goring tourists in national parks. Pretty kickass, huh?
So, are we simply experiencing a confluence of perfectly normal weather patterns that just so happen to be terribly uncomfortable, or is Mother Nature finally putting up her dukes and fighting back?
