The home of Legendary R&B acts The Whispers, Shalamar, Midnight Star Band, Klymaxx, The Deele and more.. These artists were the bricks of the House of music built by the Iconic Dick Griffey.. Dominated the R&B charts and radio in the late 70s thru the 80’s. With a Sound built to groove, by the legendary Leon Sylvers III .. They fortified us with Hit after Hit After hit. And Ladies like Patrice Rushen and Angela Winbush .. Not only had vocals to die for.. But were also producers, song writers and flat out musicians who were among the first and best fully contained female artists to write, record, arrange and produce their own music for major labels.. But as far as I am concerned.. They all along with Detroit's own Alicia Meyers .. gave us something we can need as much as we can breathe.. Some good Good Music that we can always groove too..
