The Vineyard Church Greater Portland Podcast features talks from our Sunday celebration services. We are located in Westbrook Maine! We invite you to join us Sundays at 10AM to celebrate Jesus together and all He has done in and through our lives.
We have been given a sound mind through the Spirit that lives in us. And we receive that Spirit only through our faith in Jesus. A sound mind is Christ's mind and with His mind we begin to think like Him, talk like Him, act like Him, respond like Him. What are some markers that we can identify in our lives that verify we are living with the mind of Christ?
- We are controlled by Love (2 Corinthians 5:14-15)
- We are free from offense (Matthew 27:11-14)
- We are quick to forgive (Luke 23:34-43)
How do we do that? We take every thought captive that sets itself up against the knowledge of God and we make it obedient to Christ. 2 Corinthians 10:5. Enjoy this podcast "SoundMind".
In this episode Mario and Ruth spend time thanking everyone who have supported them over these last 25 years in ministry here at Vineyard Church Greater Portland. This episode includes a time of installation and prayer over Chad and Shanna as they step into the lead pastoral role by the leadership team. Also in this episode Mario and Ruth are presented with a financial gift from the church and are prayed over by the leadership team along with the Vineyard USA national directors Phil and Janet Strout.
"Walk in Truth" is the final installment of our 3 part series "Walk Like Jesus". In this talk Chad explains that in order to walk like Jesus our lives need to reflect 3 things. A longing for obedience, a desire for holiness and an establishment of faithfulness. We look at 3 John and more specifically the life of Gaius in that letter to understand what a life walking in truth looks like.
Jesus Change Stories of Tansformation Week 7! In this episode Chad Perreault looks at the story of the man born blind. This man is transformed from blind to seeing but his life is transformed from a man who was loathed to now a man who is leaving a legacy. Check it out!!

Jesus Change-Stories of Transformation Week 2 focuses on the story of the bleeding woman! Jesus transforms her chronic illness to complete healing!
Week 1 of our series Jesus Change- Stories of Transformation focuses on a man named Matthew. Jesus transformed him from being excluded by his community to embraced by Jesus and accepted into his circle of friends, the disciples!
What does it look like to live real life in the present? So often we can wish our past was different and we can be filled with anxiety about the future but God asks us to live now in the present with Him! Sight does not require faith and faith cannot be exercised if we rely on our sight. Paul exhorts the church in Corinth to live by faith and not by sight. What does a life look like when we walk by sight? What does a life look like when we walk by faith? Why can't we live a life by sight? Why does Paul and Jesus require us to live a life by faith? Jesus has called us into a life of compassion. Join us as this third and final talk focuses on the consequence of leading a compassionate life. This topic is seen and explained through Jesus' story of "The Lost Son". What are the consequences of leading this kind of life? How do we understand the compassionate heart of God and what it has done for us so that we can in turn become more compassionate human beings toward others. We have the privilege and honor of cultivating a life of compassion with Jesus and possessing a life of compassion through Jesus so that others can understand how compassionate, gracious and merciful God truly is. Compassion- The Cost is the second talk in a 3 part series where we tackle the idea and concept of living and leading a compassionate life. In this talk we focus on the cost of compassion. What will it cost us? Is it worth it? Are we willing to pay it? Jesus' story of the Good Samaritan completely redefines for us what a life of compassion should look like and how much it will cost.
