On this episode of Panelism, Todd talks about a Morrison / Quitely joint that's almost ten years old -- Batman & Robin: Batman Reborn. He and Taylor try to place the comic in the right context. Was in New 52? At any rate, the book came out in one universe reboot after Bruce Wayne had "died." Batman Reborn covers the time period when Dick Grayson donned the cape and cowl and took on Bruce's son Damian as Robin. That makes for great chemistry already but told by Grant Morrison and illustrated by Frank Quitely, this is the Batman equivalent of All-Star Superman -- a left-of-center run that holds its own.

Todd talks about Kenichi Sonoda's Cannon God Exaxxion, the follow-up series to Sonoda's Gunsmith Cats which has always been a favorite. Re-reading Cannon God has Todd wondering if Gunsmith Cats is as problematic. It's an interesting episode as Todd has to re-examine a creator he's always thought highly of and arrives at the conclusion that you don't need this book on your shelf.

Todd got so into Volume 1 of The Unstoppable Wasp that he immediately read Volume 2. He talks about them both here. It's a cool pair of books for those who liked Mockingbird and Batgirl of Burnside. Todd also lets us know his feelings about the Civil War II crossover issue that appears at the end of Volume 1 to totally interrupt the flow of the book. He really isn't happy about that. Taylor talks about The Tipping Point from European publisher, Humanoids. He thinks it is a good read for anyone interested in art, poetry, great stories who wants to get into comics and see what is possible in the medium.
