We're back! Apologies for the massive delay, but scheduling was an issue. We've got a great line-up of movies to banter about though - Cabin in the Woods, Hunger Games, The Artist, and John Carter all up for discussion, together with a few random tangents.
Another mix of recent past and nearer present this week - Puss in Boots, The Awakening, In Time, and Sherlock Holmes 2 all get Bantered good and hard.
Turns out we've got a ton of movies we've seen but yet to cover, so a mix of older and newer this week - the banter crew take a look at The Iron Lady, 50/50, Twilight: Breaking Dawn, Immortals, and Take Shelter.
Schedules have got the better of us, I'm afraid, so no podcast until the new year, but we managed to convene for just long enough for this brief message. Merry Christmas, a happy new year, and we'll return in 2012!

It's the Movie Banter Christmas quiz! Plenty of movie-related questions for contestants Jon and Jen to get their teeth into (and you, of course!) while quizmaster Paul puts them through their paces.

An Inception special this week, as we felt it was warranted - if you've not yet seen it and want to remain in the dark until you do, save this one for afterwards. Our in-depth thoughts on the movie, together with a few theories, facts, bits of trivia, and other related banter. Plus we touch on the potential of Tom Hardy as a new Bond, Paul somehow uses the term "knob weasels" (we were confused too) and our introduction takes a somewhat disturbing turn.

The only major film reviewed this week is Prince of Persia, but that doesn't stop other movie-related banter flowing freely, including discussing why we've not watched Sex and the City 2, Brendan Fraser losing his way, and the chances of replacing Jenny with Gemma Arterton (SPOILER ALERT: slim to none). Desert Island Flicks is "best car chase", and of course your emails, tweets, and Facebook comments.

Movie Banter becomes TV Banter for one week only - Paul and Jon cast their critical square eyes on new shows Dollhouse and Better Off Ted, established shows such as 24, Prison Break, Smallville, Pushing Daisies and Lost, and take a particular look at great final episodes, notable Scrubs and Seinfeld.
Paul, Jon and Jenny banter about The Hangover, Sunshine Cleaning, marvel at Amy Adams, and muse on whether the reality of The Terminator or future-setting of Terminator Salvation make for more engrossing viewing. Paul and Jon cover Slumdog Millionaire and Yes Man, being in the unusual position of both of them having seen both movies in the same week. Also, Paul berates Jon for editing last week's episode in such a way as to cover the tracks of a mistake Jon made (I still maintain no-one will have noticed), and they have a live studio audience of 1 person, plus a scary cat staring in at them through the window. Now-regular features include "this week in movie history" and "desert island flicks".
This week Paul covers Australia (the film, not the entire country), Jon covers The Spirit, and leaves slightly more confused than before he saw it, and they both review The Reader, which doesn't warrant a flippant addition because it's a serious film. "Desert Island Flicks" asks for their favourite black and white movie, producing an unexpected choice on both counts, and Paul hopes he hasn't caused the death of someone he knows by mistake. Or deliberately, come to think of it.
