Because of God’s incredible love, who you are in Christ is the fuel for how you fight for purity!
Good morning. I’ve been hearing some rumblings lately... rumblings that this series on love is touching a nerve. Not in a bad way. People are feeling convicted about their loving of others, their forgiving of others? People are struggling to love their enemies and pray for those who persecute them. Folks,…

Walking in the light looks like being honest about your sin and living intentionally with your Savior.
In this world filled with uncertainty we can’t always control the outcomes, but we can choose to walk in wisdom. Even when wisdom goes unnoticed, it honors God and shapes a life worth living.
The gospel empowers us to fight for joy by embracing God’s approved gifts in this fleeting life.

Injustice and oppression in a fallen world. Injustice exists; we long for eternal justice.
Don’t get trapped by the seasons of life, let them train you to trust and enjoy God and His gifts!
As it turns out… God uses faithful obedience in the ordinary things of life to show us kindness and bring about extraordinary redemption.
God’s grace and redemption are always available, but they are only found when we return back to Him.
We live in a love story set in a world at war, but if we partner with King Jesus by faith, we win. Because He is Risen to Reign!
We live in a love story set in a world at war. But through faith in King Jesus, we win - because He has risen to reign!
Today we celebrated baptism —and what a joy it is! But I want you to know: baptisms are more than just celebrations. They’re declarations—bold, public markers of a disciple’s heart and intended direction of their lives from now on! Baptism is a lot like a wedding. The wedding ceremony doesn’t create…
Practicing God’s wisdom instead of our wisdom leads to the good life, the very best kind of life
Fasting - whether from food or digital technology - is a way to recalibrate our hearts, remove distractions, and reconnect deeply with God and others.
Life in the Spirit is not about striving harder or escaping reality but about receiving and resting in our identity as God’s children - living present and at peace amid life’s chaos.
Embrace the challenges of following Jesus by living daily in the light of the Cross, where sacrificial love gives purpose to inevitable suffering.
Faith-filled hearts encounter God’s promises in Jesus through Spirit-led, everyday obedience in community.
God’s promises are fulfilled in humble and and unexpected ways that are worthy of all of our loyalty, adoration, and praise
God makes good on His promises in ways that can shock us, confuse us, challenge us, and ultimately leads us to obedience, strength, and joy when we trust Him.
God’s faithfulness in sending the forerunner assures us He will fulfill His promises to us.

(Title Slide) Gooding Morning, welcome. We’re gonna do a quick review before we get into our text for this morning. If you’ll remember from last week, we kicked off a new series focusing in one Identity, and we’re seeking to answer the question who does the Bible say we are as individuals and as a Church…
Jesus has two conversations in the same setting. One with a self-righteous mob and the other with a humiliated woman.
As two theives hang beside Jesus on the cross, a conversion takes place and Jesus bestows His ridiculous grace.
Jesus continues his farewell conversation with the 11 remaining disciples as they walk to the Garden of Gethsemane.
Jesus teaches that entrance into the Kingdom of God requires total dependence on God, relinquishing earthly attachments, and trusting in His provision.
In John 13, Jesus initiates a discussion in the upper room regarding the importance of loving one another. Through both actions and words, Jesus illustrates that showing love to others includes acts of humble service.
The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Though our rebellious choices often lead to less than God’s best, His amazing grace keeps God in our corner working all things for our good in Christ.
It takes training to discern the voice of God, but also courage to follow though on what God has called us to.
Show of hands? Anyone ever been confused and in need of some guidance in here this morning ? Just this past week I was feeling the need for some guidance, our Church is growing faster than anyone of us here can keep up. We’ve been preaching about the importance of being in community and pumping our Connect…
IF God is your Shepherd and you travel with His flock, you’ll have all you need to live a good life.
Fellowship with Jesus & His Community is key to understanding Scripture and growing faith.
Belonging to Christ and His community anchors and empowers us even in teh face of doubts of fears.
We’re saved by grace to show of God’s glory and goodness by loving God and Our neighbors.
Who is Jesus and how should we respond? The One who calls disciples to follow Him does not abandon us for glory, but turns from it to accompany us “on the way” to the cross.
Sin isolates, Jesus unites; yet, moments of rest and solitude with God remain essential.
Come and see the clues of Christ and discover there’s no one else more worth following than Him
Know your place and boldly proclaim Jesus’ baptism of repentance as you wait for His return.
Allow the promises and prophecies of what will happen then, shape your faith in and mission with Christ here and now!
Apologies, we had technical difficulties and the audio didn't record for this message. The transcript is available below.
Remember the faithful saints who’ve gone before and ahead of us to press on with hope and faith in the here and now.
Even when it feels like we are staring down the barrel of disappointment, God is still good and there is still good for us to cling to
You don’t need to be greedy, because God’s image is on you and in Christ, by faith, He’s promised to always provide for you everything you need.
Respond to the invitation of your King with grateful & faith-filled obedience rather than entitlement!
Defeat anxiety and worry about a future you can’t control by fighting to focus your heart and mind on the loving God who is glad to be with you in the present.
Religion leads to grumbling, glorying the past and fearfully mistrusting God in the present; where as relationship leads to gratitude, glorifying God and faithfully trusting Him in the present.
Check your heart! If you’re a member of Christ’s Kingdom, you’re only there because of His self-giving, generous love.
Cultivating a community that fosters Christian maturity requires that we all take up the sometimes unfair process of exposing one another's' faults.

God uses all kinds of people with all kinds of giftings to help the lost get found and the found live free.
Because you’ve been chosen, trust the Truth Giver and the power of His Spirit to fill you with a personal purpose worth hoping in and boasting about!
Treat weakness as tenderly and patiently as God does, and quietly follow your Holy Spirit guided conscience in regards to disputable matters.
Empty yourself to receive and enjoy the results of the empty tomb. Embrace the crutch of Jesus Christ.
God has given Christians the responsibility to proclaim and promote His good news to the world: responses will vary and that's not on us or God!
The Church is a community or family that cares for and loves one another in a way that builds up believers in maturity of faith and works!
What do you do when God's ways are confusing? How should we respond when we don't understand God?
Because we're more than conquerors, the trials and hardships of this life can serve as a megaphone that glorifies God.
For Creation and the Christian suffering suffering as labor pains; it's never meaningless, it's producing for us an eternal good and glory! Ending quoted from John a Piper message entitled The Glory of God in the Sight of Eternity - None of Our Misery is Meaningless.
Ruthlessly remember whose you are to discover the motivation and power that will keep you on the path of life!
We can make all good things, God honoring things by doing all these things with and for Jesus.
Celebrate Christmas by treasuring and pondering God's faithful fulfillment of His word in your life!
What does does becoming a slave to righteousness mean? And what is the freedom found in such servitude?
Our attitude towards sin will reveal the authenticity of our faith; we've been freed from sin, not to sin!
Find lasting hope in life by identifying our real problem, understanding reality and living in Jesus.
Rejoice in your justification in Jesus by practicing appreciation and receive joy no matter what life throws at you.
Faith alone in Jesus looks like unwavering hope in the promises of God which makes God always happy to see us.
In Christ, God's got grace for your questions, for your sin, and for your striving to measure up.
The gospel of Jesus is not about what you know or what you do; it’s about who you know and what flows from that relationship!
Even "good people" need to respond to the Gospel. No one gets to heaven on their own merits.
The dark reality of life is that if we run from God to something else, in the end that thing is all we'll have.
To the lost the holiness of God is a dreadful matter, but to the redeemed the holiness of God is our greatest good.
We don't just need forgiveness; we need healing and God, who is the Healer, can take care of both!
The God of the Bible is gracious, and His grace made a way for us to live with Him forever.
The God of the Bible is unchanging and because of that, He is the safest place for you to anchor your soul!
God who is all-sufficient will supply our every need if we humbly come to Him for help.
Remembering God's promises, power, and pace will enable us to wait upon His patience!
The section on Isaiah 30 is quoted and amended from John Piper's NOVEMBER 27, 1988 message entitled Battling the Unbelief of Impatience found here at desiringgod.org. It's worth a listen or read!!
If we're going to receive Jesus as our rest, then we need to learn godliness with contentment.
Engaging God through Bible reading and prayer will provide more joy and rest for our souls than any escape this world has to offer.
Living with an awareness that we are loved by a sovereign God allows us to rest in our busy culture.
The secret to un-hurrying your life and learning to live present in the moment is intentional, quiet time alone with God where you receive His daily direction for your life's destiny.
When we learn to boast in Christ and His Cross alone, we'll find freedom, peace, and mercy!
Being freed to fight sin by the Spirit in community means you take responsibility for yourself and live responsible to your brothers and sisters in Christ.
If you've been found by Jesus, you've been freed to fight sin with the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit!
Our freedom in Christ is not a license to sin, it's an invitation to serve others in love.
The Holy Spirit comforts authentic followers of Jesus by making the word of God real in their lives.
Let's be individuals and a church that travel the road to greatness as we humbly serve others.
Go out of your way to give thanks to our God. His love is unfailing and His faithfulness continues to each generation!
The Gospel SHIFTS how we think about gaining life and pleasing God!
Generosity Matrix credit to JD Greear (Sermon / Blog)
Salvation SHIFTS us from individuals to a community of faith where we grow together in maturity and spur one another on to greater deeds of love and generosity.
Prayer is the muscle of communication that needs exercised if we want for our conversations with the Father to grow and deepen.
God invites us into a simple, exclusive relationship like that between a Father and His Child! Don't complicate it, enjoy it, and take advantage of your access!
Dress appropriately for the Kingdom. Your spiritual clothing should indicate to folks that you ain't from around here.
Live in the tension of the all ready and the not yet by patiently persisting in the practice of righteousness, motivated by the hope of the coming Kingdom.
If the Kingdom of God is God's rule through His people, Christians must seek to live distinctly present in the world as salt and light allowing King Jesus to have the full and final say over every area of their lives!
Why pursue Kingdom purposes? What does it look like to pursue Kingdom purposes? How is it really possible to pursue Kingdom purposes?
Citizens of the Kingdom must come to acknowledging that we have nothing to offer God. We must rely completely on God's mercy and grace for our salvation and forgiveness.
The most powerful force on earth is the sacrificial love of Jesus Christ. Receive it and extend it to others to join the unstoppable movement!
If you recognize Jesus as the King He is, you won't want independence from Him, you'll desire intimacy with Him and you'll realign your life under His gracious, loving rule.
Don't seek to preserve your idea of the good life. Instead seek King Jesus' presence and submit to His definition of the good life.
God doesn't want us to just do life for Him, rather He invites us to do life with Him empowered by His presence and power through the person of the Holy Spirit! Learn to listen expectantly to His still small voice, anchored to the Word, and just see how the He chooses to use you to encourage others and help lost people get found and found people live free.
How we live and work either lends credibility to our witness or harms our witness for Jesus? How's your work reflecting upon the author of it?
If you want a marriage like no-one else, then you have to be willing to do what no one else does empowered by the Spirit of Jesus as the new creation you are!
How to parent from the gospel with the goal of helping your children learn to know, love and obey Jesus.
It may look differently based upon your maturity level, whether or not you've moved out of their home, or your marital status, but no matter your situation, if you seek to honor your parents, God promises that it will go well with you.
Marriage is not the ultimate relationship where men and women find ultimate fulfillment. You and I were created to find "the one," but no other person apart from Jesus Christ can be that for us! Marriage is a relational crucible God uses to refine our character as well as a telescope designed meant for us to gaze at the star-sized intimacy He desires to share in union with Him.
We will never have the spiritual or emotional resources we need to rehab our horizontal relationships until allow Jesus to mend our vertical relationship with God!
Daniel 11 has over 135 fulfilled prophecies in it and some that have still yet to be fulfilled. This raises the question why does God tells His people the future. Here are 5 reasons.
Jesus defeated death to forgive failures and give us an eternal investment opportunity!
In Daniel 10 we discover that: it's O.K. to not be O.K., prayer matters, and there is an unseen spiritual battle taking place.
Jesus is King and because of that you and I can live free with the hope of a glorious future!
Live word-centered and spirit-guided and you'll have the character and courage to persevere through crisis displaying a contagious faith.
Submit to and serve the King. He's in charge of who's in charge. He's good and graciously pursuing you!
Live praising the King and you’ll be empowered to be a good citizen and courageously critique culture when necessary.
Stay loyal to the God who is gracious by living as a sent witness, strengthened and sustained by His Spirit.

A shield is a defensive weapon of protection, but it only works if one hides behind it. The Bible says God is a shield. Joseph shows us how we can receive God's protection, by listening, trusting, and obeying God's Word and warning.
Hope is hard, but Jesus is here with us. He knows what it's like to live here and He will keep His promises. Hoping is hard sometimes, but it's worth it!
Unlike us, Jesus had the privilege of choosing His family members. Who He chooses gives us a whole lot of hope! Hope is here in Matthew 1:1-17.
Peter lovingly reminds us of God's promises, His patience, and our position in Christ. Let us continue to stir up one another remembering these things as opposed to scoffing at them.
Live different, endure suffering by living to be on the right side of eternity, investing your suffering in service, and considering your Savior.
Live different, make make of Jesus by submitting to every earthly authority with respect and honor and enduring unjust suffering like Jesus.
Live well by building your life on the cornerstone of Jesus or don't and stumble through life.
(At the end of the message there was a time of sharing before I prayed. Not everyone used a Mic, so the audio was unusable and I clipped it out. If it feels a bit disjointed, that's why!)
Live different, live with certain and living hope.
I quoted Elliot Clark a few times today in the message but did not specially reference him or his work so as not to break the flow of the sermon. However I want to credit him now. I did quote him 2 times and was helped by his treatment of 1 Peter 1:3-12 immensely. The car alarm illustration was amended from his work. Here's a link to his book: Evangelism as Exiles by Elliot Clark. I recommend it highly!
Know who you are, whose you are and where you're going to live different in a world not your home.
Live utterly dependent upon Jesus and you'll live a radically generous, safe and secure, good life.
Christians need to learn to speak up, carefully, kindly and constructively. Is what you're about to say true? It it timely? Is to to the right person? Can you say it kindly, with grace and love and is it constructive? Will it build up the person who hears it into Christ-likeness.

Are you a good friend. Do you have wise friends. Jesus models for us the types of friends we should pursue and enables us to be good friends to others.
Know and receive The Word and you'll no when and how to use your words.
Proverbs 26:18-27:2
Make your bed in Jesus’ house of joy not folly’s dark house of horrors by getting a child-like heart.
Fight and flee sexual immorality by living united first to Christ and second, if your married, fight and flee sexual by living united to your spouse.
Are you living the good life? According to whose standards is it good? Proverbs 3:13-35 reveals to us the benefits of the good life, why wisdom works in building a good life, and how living in community relates to the quality of our lives.
Learning God's Words and Wisdom will protect you from the perverse and seductive words of the world.
Responding to Wisdom's call looks like listening to and loving the Lord’s counsel and correction
What is wisdom and why do we need it? We'll discover the foundation of wisdom in this introductory sermon for our summer series in the book of Proverbs.
Our salvation is secured by Jesus, and because of that, God's desire is for all Christians to have assurance.
God wants us to have a faith that finishes. 1 John 4 gives us some spiritual disciplines to practice that will make our faith more resilient.
Staying put and sticking to the simple truths of Jesus will help us live with purpose and urgency as well as keep us from living in a constant state of panicked emergency.
The only difference between a Christian and a non-Christian is not the presence of sin in their lives but how they handle it. Christians feel conviction about sin and have a desire to confess it and repent from it while unbelievers either aren't aware of sin or aren't bothered by its presence. If you are struggling with sin, that's a good indication the Holy Spirit is active and present in your life!
If Christ has saved us, you can bet there'll be some changes. If we find those changes we should be confident in our salvation and take hope in that assurance. If not, we should consider trusting in Jesus as our Lord and Savior.
We as Evangelicals can be quick to jump from the cross right to the resurrection, skipping over Christ's death and burial. In doing so we miss some very important things. In this message, we'll examine where Jesus was for the 3 days His body was in the tomb and what exactly He was doing during that time. Spoiler alert, It's really good news!
The triumphal entry of Jesus (AKA Palm Sunday) teaches us to trust in God's goodness even when He doesn't meet our expectations.
In Luke 6:28-42 we discover that examining ourselves and checking our hearts against Jesus will put us into a position to evaluate what conflict is necessary and what can be avoided altogether or at least de-escalated. Much of the drama and conflict in our lives just simply doesn't need to be there. At the end of the message, we'll unpack things to consider when evaluating what kinds of conflict are necessary.
Jesus was so committed to the peacemaking process that He endured the cross for us to be reconciled. In view of and empowered His mercies to us on the Cross, we should be as committed to the peacemaking process. In as much as it depends upon us, let's commit to making peace like Jesus.
Our hearts, the world, and the devil are set against our godliness! Without Jesus, we're helpless, but with Jesus, we can overcome temptation.
We need forgiveness and God is eager to give it us when we ask because of what Jesus has done in our place. Are we willing to pass the same forgiven we freely receive from God on to those who wrong us?
Asking God for our daily needs is a great reminder to us that we are utterly dependent upon Him. Along with that, God promises to give us what we weed when we ask!
Do our prayers matter? They sure do and yet God remains sovereign. This is a beautiful tension to rest in.
What is God's Kingdom and what does it mean when we pray for it to come? What exactly are we asking for?
It's time to start fresh this new year and shed the guilt we carry over how well or how much we pray. No child thinks about how to come to their father or has guilt about not talking with their dad enough. When they have a need or want company they just go to their dad and talk with him. Because of Jesus, we can and should approach God like a child approaches a good father.
Joseph had a big decision to make and he received some help from an Angel. As believers, we have someone better than an angel to help us make our decisions. Let's learn from the example of Joseph.
To say Mary's plans in life got interrupted when the angel Gabriel showed up is an understatement. However, there's no doubt, if Mary had to do it all over again, she wouldn't change a thing. God's plans might make our lives more difficult at times, but there's no better way to live than in His plans!
God is actively working His goodwill and purpose all the time. For some crazy reason, He's chosen to use people to accomplish those purposes. God will do whatever it takes to give us ample opportunities to respond in faith and be used by Him. This means there is no ordinary day for the Christian. We need to stay active in our faith communities, keep praying always, and constantly be on the looking for where God is working and what He might have us do next to give Him glory and receive joy.
God's love is available to anyone and every one no matter where they find themselves in life. All you have to do is cry out to Him and He'll come find you. He'll accept you where you are and work with you from there for your ultimate good.
God knows the real you and is nearer than you think or can feel and that's something to be grateful for!
What is gratitude, why is it important we cultivate it in ourselves and what are its results? These are a few of the questions we address in this message.
Jesus wants us to pursue Him above wealth and comfort. We need to keep our focus on Him, in times of plenty as well as in times of scarcity. If we do, we'll be able to offer the world the cold refreshing drink of Christ’s correction and acceptance as well as the soothing and healing warmth of His love!
We are not saved by works, but genuine faith motivates and empowers us to do good works. Jesus loves this and blesses those who live out their faith by opening more doors of missional opportunity and allowing us to be apart of His grand mission!
It's possible to look like a Christian and even claim to be one, but not be. Jesus gives the Church at Sardis and us an opportunity to continue "to work out our salvation with fear and trembling." Because Jesus rose, no one is ever too dead to be resurrected. If you hear His voice, respond. Wake up! Receive the good news, fight to remember what Christ has done and is doing and when you fail, repent.
It's easy to justify things based on what we want to hear. Sometimes it's easier to tolerate certain sins rather than trusting God and holding firm to truth. In our culture sin seems normal and righteousness seems weird. We must take great care to follow Christ in faith even when it's hard and inconvenient by remembering that while sin seems easy it will never take us where we want to go. Jesus, however, will. He is for us and He will do whatever it takes to help us persevere in faith!
We live in a culture that is actively seeking to subvert the truth on every level. Thus, it's vital that we stay vigilant in our fight to remain faithful to the truth. When we allow unbiblical, popular beliefs of the day to creep into the Church there will be consequences. Ongoing repentance is key!
Suffering is tough, but for the Christian there is encouragement. Jesus knows our suffering. He's in control even when we suffer and a reward awaits those who faithfully persevere through suffering.
7 | The Church of Revelation is a series meant to help us discover what true faith looks like in a world characterized by spiritual opposition. The big idea of this particular message to the Church at Ephesus is: love Jesus more than His law! True faith must always be accompanied with love. If there is no love, we're in trouble! Remembering what Christ has done for us and how much we have been forgiven ourselves will help us love Jesus as well as others.
Often times we focus more on what God would have us do, but that misses the point. God is primarily concerned with what Christ has done so that we don't have to do anything but be with Him. If we focus on that as our mission, everything else will follow.
God doesn't just save us as individuals. He saves us into a family and it's vital to our faith and the faith of others that we live life together in God's family.
The only way to keep yourself from coveting is to want God more than you want anything else. In Philippians 4, Paul lays out for us how we go about receiving a new heart with desires that are only satisfied by God.
Living in the truth means more then just not telling lies. We need to be open and honest with God and our Church family so that we can be healed and find freedom walking in the truth.
What does it look like to show honor to your parents? Why is it important? The 5th Commandment gives us the answers.
What's the big deal about Sabbath? What is it? Do we need it and how do we keep it in light of what Christ has done? We'll attempt to answer these questions from God's word.
Most of us aren't bowing down to golden statues, but idolatry is an issue none the less. Today we examine the 2nd commandment and learn how to rightly worship the one and only God.
Before leaving home as a teenager, my mom always said, "remember who you are!" In much the same way you carry your family name with you wherever you go, how you speak and act reflects back on your family, in the same way, Christians are to carry God's name in a way that inspires the awe and respect that is due to Him alone. Lord Jesus, help us carry your name well in the the ways we live and speak.
In America, you'd be hard pressed to find the statues of gods and shrines that existed in the days of Israel. If that's the case how is the first commandment still relevant?
How does God feel about us? We all know God loves us, but does He like us? The Bible is clear. God delights over those of us who have placed our trust in Christ Jesus.
Our sexual compass is completely off as a culture and sadly as individuals. We are all sexually broken. What does the Bible say about sex and how can realign ourselves with God to enjoy what was meant to be a good gift? 1 Corinthians 6 and 7 give us an idea.
While God desires us to be happy in Him, that is not all He desires for us. Psalm 1 gives us a glimpse into how to be Happy in God.
In Genesis 3 everything good creation of God broke. This rupture in the fabric of the universe created spin factories in our hearts where not only do we put out fake news headlines but now we also live in a world where spiritual fake news is the norm. Satan is behind all of it. He is the father of lies. This week we learn where Satan came from and how to fight his fake news headlines in our lives
He's risen and that changes everything. John 20 gives us a glimpse of what saving faith looks like as well as shows us what kind of changes to expect because Jesus is alive!
Life is disappointing sometimes. What do we do when we're disappointed with God? What can expect God to do with us? John 11 shows us.
If Jesus is the Good Shepherd what does that make us? Sheep. In this message, we explore what it means to be sheep.
Where you belong and to whom you belong shapes how you see and experience the world. Belong to Jesus and you'll experience the abundant life only He can provide.
In this text we ask three questions: what can we learn about us, what can we learn about Jesus and if this is true, what are we supposed to do with Jesus?
Jesus heals the man born blind. This says something about suffering and who Jesus is, but what?
Jesus is our provider as well as our provision but to be replenished by Him you got to put your faith in Him, obey Him, and depend upon Him.
Jesus turned water into and He did so to reveal more of who He is to us. If we'll take sometime to look beyond the sign, we'll discover joy.
It's a new year. Take some time this and reflect on where you've been and get intentional about where you're going with Jesus as you head into the new year!
Wait on God by trusting and obeying His plans and ways even when they don't make sense.
Jesus came and He's coming again. What are you waiting for this Christmas? Waiting for Jesus' return will make you like a child waiting on Christmas morning, eager and responsive to God in relationship.
Knowing and loving Jesus transforms how we relate with everyone. Has Jesus changed your relationships?
Take off your grave clothes and put on Jesus, the uniform of heaven. If you're not actively killing sin, it is actively killing you.
A Christian's spirituality is not defined or judged by following rules and regulations, having spiritual and supernatural experiences, or suffering and minimalism. The truly Spirit-filled believer can judge their spirituality based on their relationship with Jesus. It's all about Jesus, knowing Him, loving Him, enjoying Him, bringing glory to Him. If you abide in Jesus, you'll be spiritually fulfilled and able to spot the counterfeits of Christianity put forth in our culture.
Fight the fascination with the new by remembering and celebrating the age-old truths of Jesus Christ!
If you're for Christ, you're for the Church. The Apostle Paul's life is an example and testimony of what this looks like lived out.
Jesus is first and foremost in all of everything that there is. What position does He hold in your life?
To change your behavior focus on your beliefs. Obedience to God is the fruit of a right relational knowledge of God not the requirement for relationship with God.
If you're gonna own a vehicle and especially if you plan to do some off-roading in that vehicle, you're going to need a owners manual, access to youtube, and preferable a mechanic friend. Maintenance is key to keep that car running in ship-shop shape. A Church needs similar check ups and a maintenance schedule to keep it in alignment as do we in our faith journey. Colossians is a letter written by Paul and Timothy, seasoned mechanics in the faith, to the Church at Colossae specifying what things to be on the look out for and a kind of maintenance schedule to keep in the faith.
We'll examined the first eight verses and discovered that God is the one who grants hope and from that hope cultivates faith and love for the saints in His people.
