Da'wah Institute (DIN)
The Dawah Institute (DIN) is the research and Islamic propagation department of the Islamic Education Trust(IET). We have trained religious leaders (men and women), teachers of Arabic and Islamic studies, as well as youths in the aspects of Shari'ah Intelligence and other courses. The Institute has also developed more into research-based initiatives to address some of the most common issues that are bed levelling the religious space in Islam. These include areas of gender-based violence, women's rights, building resilience against violent extremism, atheism, intra and interfaith relations, etc

The Prophet (PBUH) said: "Use love and affection in education and upbringing and don't have access to cruelty because a wise mentor is better than a cruel one." [Bihar al-Anwar, v 77, p. 175] Islam is a religion of peace and hence does not encourage any form of violence. Research has shown that people who received physical punishment as children are more likely to assault their kids, spouses and manifest criminal behaviour. Therefore, one can hazard a hypothesis that beating children for every infraction (minor or major) leads to violence in the community; this is the total opposite of what Islam teaches.
