In order to be effective in reaching any given people group with the Gospel, it is necessary to first understand the nuances of their culture and language. Ignoring this step usually ends up with much wasted effort and more work in “fixing” misunderstandings that arise due to the cultural differences between the people, ancient Israel, and the missionaries trying to deliver the Gospel.
