Sports Info U.M is hosted by former NCAA champions and NFL player Darryl Oliver. Darryl has extensive knowledge of football in the training camps, on the field and everywhere in between. He will use his past experience to focus on football drafts, offseason stories, and gridiron play by plays, while simultaneously discussing the hot and cold of the current sports scene. Darryl has an extensive list of guests ranging from Hall of Fame coaches, to current NFL players to add suspense and ingenuity to his already entertaining show.

Earnings a scholarship to The University of Miami in 1980. At Miami Tony was called rock of Miami Hurricanes defense by Howard Schnellenberger, two year starter. played nearly every down in 1983, bench presses 520 pounds and squats 450. Ended 1982 season as Miami's number four tackler, recorded 42 tackles in 1983 along with three QB sacks and one fumble recovery, All-South Independent and AP Honorable Mention All-American in 1983 and a National Championship over Nebraska. Acquired: Draft by the Houston Gamblers with fifth selection in the 1984 USFL open draft seventh round, 128th selection overall.

Curtis was drafted by the New York Giants , National Football League and the New York Titans , American Football League in 1962 from Florida Agriculutral and Mechanical University FAMU, where he was a three time All-American offensives lineman starting four years from 1957 to 1962. Curtis will enlighten us on how it was to playing in the NFL after coming from a black university . Host Darryl Oliver talks to a University of Miami legend-Dr. Anna Price. Dr. Price is responsible for a countless number of athletes graduating from The U in the 80’s and 90’s, especially football players where their graduation rate was over 70%. As the Assistant Athletic Director of Student Support Services, Dr. Price developed a multidimensional plan to help students look beyond their sport playing days, no matter the sport. In 1996, she was promoted to Assistant Provost and was the contact person of the academic support programs. As Assistant Provost, she initiated and supervised the Supplemental Instruction Program. We welcome Dr. Anna Price—her name is synonymous with academic achievement of UM football of the 80’s and 90’s; she’s woven in the swagger of the “U”.

Sports Info UM host Darryl Oliver has found a very unique American Football fan. This man protested the entire 2017 NFL season by not watching any NFL games on television or attending any live NFL events. Tedd Lawrence is on a one man protest against the NFL for several reasons with one being because Colin Kaepernick is not on any NFL team’s active roster. He also feels strongly about what has happened in our country concerning police brutality and the disproportionate number of young black men who are incarcerated. He stated he was recently insulted and feels Kaepernick’s case for collusion against the NFL was validated after hearing John Elway’s statement about offering Kaepernick a job only if he took a 42% paycut. Hear from Mr. Lawrence who has been an active NFL fan for over 50 years and says he’s on the fence in protesting the 2018 NFL season.

Curtis was a three-time All-America center in college who went on to be drafted by the New York Giants in the fifth round in 1962 as a middle linebacker and in the 11th round as a center by the AFL New York Titans (Jets).
