Luke 6:43-45.
Where is your heart planted? It's all about the fruit, but good fruit will not produce in bad soil. Pastor Adam implores us to analyze the silos of our heart - where both good and bad things are stored. If things of the world are allowing bad fruit to grow in our lives, maybe it's time to survey our crops. People are attracted to good fruit.

It's Youth Sunday at LJCF and following worship by the Youth Band, then 4 youth Baptisms, Student Ministries Pastor Harry Wilson explains how the pathway to freedom is forgiveness. He shows us how, through Jesus' death and resurrection, we are forgiven of much, then in genuine gratitude, we love much; and love is contagious.

To kick off this new sermon series explaining some lesser known aspects of Jesus' ministry, Small Groups Pastor, Joe Brandi, shows us one of Jesus' last acts before ascension. He commands and empowers us to make disciples based on the authority He was given from God. And Jesus assures us that He is always with us because of the Holy Spirit inside us...making us indestructible!

Freedom is one of the most underestimated weapons of spiritual warfare. We are often shackled by 2 types of bondage - self-justification (guilt, pride, shame) and unrestrained freedom (lust, greed). In this scripture, Paul shows us how to stand in battle and weaponize the fruits of the Spirit as the final episode of the Revival sermon series.

Jesus is a master at bringing restoration in the “Afterwards." When Christ appears in the "Afterward" moments of our life, He tends to offer Himself in a different form and bring a new understanding and presence to your current reality. The Revival series concludes showing us how to capitalize on the setbacks of our lives and become a master of our "Afterwards."

Episode 7: Deliverance.
Matthew 8:28-34.
In this scripture, two demon-possessed men were caught up in a herd of pigs and ultimately rushed off a cliff to their death with the herd. What are the pigs in your life? Pastor Adam examines three factors that can bring you deliverance from running with the herd: Blockages, Disobedience, and the spiritual battle for Territory in your life.

The Offering.
Episode 1: Cain and Abel.

Why did God look with favor upon the offering made by Abel, but not on the offering from Cain? It's about heart attitude and sacrifice. There's a big difference in the freedom of living your life with the mindset of offering, instead of gathering.

Genesis 3:1-7.
The road to sin often begins with a desire. Adam & Eve were in a garden filled with everything they needed. Then, the serpent tempted them to desire the one thing they were told they could not have. Instead of being content in the garden, the desire for what they couldn't have cost them dearly. Sin rarely follows contentment.

Genesis 1:19-25.
God created the universe from nothing. He created man from the earth. He created woman from man. God intended a relational connectivity to each of these creations. He gave purpose and meaning to each part of the creation for a reason. Find out why.

Genesis 1:26-28.
God created all mankind to be equal - men and women. Pastor Adam continues looking into the characters of Genesis...from the beginning. Following creation itself, God breathed life into the first man. Then He gave man a companion to equally rule over the earth together. After the fall, woman loses her equality, only to be restored by Christ's death on the cross.

Genesis 2:4-9.
God spoke creation into being. Then He created mankind from the earth and brought us to life with His own breath. This act separates and differentiates us from creation. God charged us to care for creation and to worship alongside it. Maybe the world today seems to care more about creation than each other.

Genesis 1:1-10.
In the beginning, God said, "Let there be light." And there was. He spoke to create life and the world we inhabit. We are created in His image and are called to recreate His image on earth. That's why the words you speak are important and give you the power to create reality. The bible is God's love letter to us, showing how He wants to partner with us to bring life.

Part 3: Moses and the Burning Bush.
Exodus 3:1-6.
Like many of us, Moses was afraid of God. He had led an imperfect life and was in a literal, and personal, wilderness. Then God sent him an invitation in the form of a burning bush, calling Moses into a deeper purpose and an intimate face-to-face relationship. It's the story of redemption and transformation...how to move toward the "Better."

Part 2: Zacchaeus the Tax Collector.
Luke 19:1-10.
It was a moment of decision. Jesus was just passing through and spotted this tax man up in a tree. Then He invited Himself to the sinner's house! Zacchaeus was ready and willing for change and welcomed Jesus joyfully. When Jesus passes through your life, do you seize the moment, climb down from your tree, and welcome His salvation into your house?

Part 1: The Calling of Matthew.
Matthew 9:9-13, Mark 2:13-17, Luke 5:27-32.
If you notice, Jesus is always inviting you. But do you reciprocate? It's easy to follow Jesus from afar...but what would happen if you invite Him into YOUR house. Into your darkness. Into your pain, or brokenness, or loneliness. He wants to BE invited as much as He invites you.
Proclaiming the Year of the Lord's Favor.
Isaiah 6:1-8, 7:14, 9:6.
The Book of Isaiah proclaims the Lord's favor and mission in the foretelling of the birth of a Savior. Associate Pastor Jim Smith takes us through a scriptural retrospective and implores us to look inward as we look forward to the new year to realize our favor and our mission.
Miracle in a Manger.
John 14:5-6 NIV.
As an exclamation mark following Pastor Adam's sermon series on the miracles Jesus performed at Galilee, he focuses on the very first miracle of Jesus' earthly life - His birth. Jesus' entire story is bookended by a fantastical narrative...The Birth and The Resurrection. In order to follow Jesus, do you need to suspend belief or ENGAGE belief?

Episode 7: Jesus Heals a Man with an Unclean Spirit.
Mark 1:21-28.
In this miracle, Jesus picks a fight with a demon. When the unclean spirit inhabiting a man spoke out to Jesus asking, "have you come to destroy us?" He did just that. Even the demon acknowledged Jesus as the Holy One of God before He rebuked the spirit, casting it out of the man. The people saw that when Jesus spoke with power and authority, even demons obey Him.

Episode 6: Jesus Gets Into A Boat.
Matthew 14:22-33.
Perhaps the most famous of Jesus' miracles, is the real miracle that Jesus walked on water? That He helped Peter walk on water? That He saved Peter when he became afraid? Maybe it's to show us that He is in the boat with us. In every life situation, we are not rowing the boat alone. But it takes the risk of real faith.

Episode 5: The Miracle of Mirroring.
John 1:35-39 and 11:32-44.
Before Jesus performed the miracle of raising Lazarus from the dead, He turned to a crowd following Him and asked, "what do you want?" Student Ministries Pastor Harry Wilson points to this as a crucial question for all of us seeking to follow Jesus. It is an inward-oriented question that leads us to an outward orientation on our resurrection journey.

Episode 4: Power to Forgive.
Mark 2:1-12.
Before Jesus healed the paralyzed man in Capernaum, He told him,"...your sins are forgiven." Jesus knew that His miracles were a patchwork fix, and that the true miracle people needed was salvation from sin. That people needed healing from the sickness of sin. He ties His physical miracles to the miracle of salvation and eternal life.

Episode 3: The Gift of More.
John 6:1-15 CEV.
Aside from the resurrection, the miracle of Jesus feeding a multitude from just 5 loaves of bread and 2 fish is the only story recorded in all 4 gospels. It teaches us that Jesus will give us MORE than we ask for. That He is MORE than enough for us. Jesus' math is better than ours. He asks us to bring Him our little, then He gives us MORE!

Episode 2: Spitting Contest.
Mark 8:22-25.
Jesus didn't perform miracles to create an Instagram moment. He didn't want to gain followers to become a celebrity. In fact, He took the blind man OUT of the village to heal him, and sent him home afterward telling him not to go back to the village. The real meaning of Jesus' miracles is often found in things that happened in the margins.

Episode 1: Bending the Natural.
Luke 4:38-44.
Do you believe in miracles? Ever experienced one? Need one now? In this sermon series, Pastor Adam looks at the miracles Jesus performed in the region of Galilee. Jesus never did miracles for his own sake, nor just for awe and wonder. His miracles were deeply personal and were meant to create relationships and draw people in the Kingdom.

Episode 6: Running to a Standstill.
2 Samuel 15:13-16, 23-26, 30-31, 37.
When things get rough, where do you retreat? The temptation is to retreat to an unhealthy place. David knew when to leave a fight and was a master of strategic retreat. He would retreat to a place of strength and seek the mercy of God. Even after causing many of his own problems, David walked in contrition, not guilt, after repentance.

Episode 5: Conspiracy Theory.
2 Samuel 15:1-14.
Manipulation is the opposite of faith. In the scripture, Absalom manipulated his situation to become a judge, when he could have likely ascended to become king if he had trusted God. Ever battled the temptation to deceive others for personal gain? That can happen when we put our trust in people, instead of trusting God.

Episode 4: Triangle of Poison.
2 Samuel 13:37-39, etc.
When there is a failure of leadership in the family, others often rush in to fill the void. Triangulation is a dangerous form of manipulation in relationships. The bible shows us how Joab meddled between King David and his son Absalom. Pastor Adam explains how a family can be destroyed by the inability to communicate directly.

Episode 3: This Is Your Brain On Rage.
2 Samuel 13:23-29.
What is healthy anger? Anger does not have the ability to resolve itself and is most often a secondary emotion. Absalom was driven by his anger toward his own brother, leading to deadly consequences. The Bible gives us a picture of healthy anger so that might change the way we process it.

Episode 2: Crafty Is As Crafty Does.
2 Samuel 13.
The minimizing of trauma and inability to communicate are common traits in broken families. We serve a God who never minimizes our trauma. He sent Jesus who was victimized by the world, but never became a victim. The wounds of Jesus are used to heal us, so that we may also heal others. Bringing our issues into the light can be purifying.
Few things hurt like discipline, but without it we lack direction and correction. How are our modern views of discipline changing and how do we raise children that see correction as a form of love rather than something based in fear.

2 Samuel 18:1-18.
Our actions within family dynamics can have consequences for generations. We live in a society that shuns correction. But a family without appropriate correction leads to anarchy...just like it did for King David. What do we do when family goes wrong? What is the balance between freedom and correction in the family model?
Addiction. Few things destroy lives like it. In this podcast we interview the founder of Light House, Luke Rytenskild, a drug and alcohol rehabilitation house in Australia as well as talk about how the church has a huge opportunity to reach people by tackling this crucial issue head on.

We live in a culture that is erasing meaning from sexuality. The world is trying to redefine the meaning of marriage, gender and sex. God purposely knit meaning into the creation of humanity that tells a deeper story. We were all created by perfect design, and for a purpose. As a church, we do we go from here?
