We're back! After an ungodly hiatus the Mëttleheads podcast is back. We had some rearranging to do but now the podcast lives on. We introduce our new Bass player Jerry Morales, and go over the long strange career of the Killers.
This week Zack “the Tang” Zeit discusses the band “HIM”. Although they were kind of an early 2000’s flash in the pan, we look at whether they actually made an impact, or if they should just stay where we left them.
There’s no question that Radiohead is one of the most influential bands of the 90’s, and debatably of all time. The truly had their own sound and there has never been anyone like them since. The care deeply about their art but the question we ask is, what is art when its no longer relatable to an audience? What happens when you start getting so experimental that people no longer identify with your music? Did they get too weird after OK Computer? We’ll see…
The Counting Crows have always been a group that everyone knew about, but weren’t so influential that you felt you really had to know them. Typically written off as just another useless top 40 group, if that’s all you think of the Counting Crows you’re really missing out.
